  1. That looks great. I generally don't like that colour, but thats usually on R33s, first 32 I've seen.
  2. Sounds like a drunk driver to me and probably a local. I hope you find the scum and get your excess covered. I searched in google and didn't get anything from those numbers. You could try calling a nissan dealer parts center?
  3. Good videos there. If I'd known this event was on I probably would have headed down to watch. I imagine the guy in the VL was in need of a new pair of underwear after that off!
  4. Any shred of credibility you may have had has disappeared with that post Barbarian. Instead of trying to be offensive, you could have given a well thought out reply. Pretty pathetic really.
  5. My dad was given a lift home by the police after being done at a booze bus 3 years ago. He asked nicely, they said yes and sent him home in the pursuit car. He was friendly and co-operative and they treated him in the same manner.
  6. Most of the mechanics I know don't enjoy their job. These people weren't really in to cars in the first place, so why they chose that path is a bit of a mystery. The pay even when you're qualified is not good, but you can supplement your income by doing backyarders. I'd suggest carpentry as an apprenticeship. They get paid very well, especially working for yourself. My cousin was clearing $2000 a week as a chippy when we were both about 22, while I was working in an office earning $600. He was working a lot of hours though. Earn enough money and you can work on your car as a hobby and possibly get more joy from it than working on other peoples cars everyday.
  7. He broke the law and got done for it. If he had been let off people would be complaining about double standards. If its so bad, feel free to leave
  8. Got a good chuckle out of the Hamilton news story. Nice to see they didn't let him go and treated him like anyone else. Is it possible they're blitzing due to the death of the owner of La Porchetta, or is it just because the GP is on and they expect a lot of hoon behaviour? Reminds me of the time Valentino Rossi was caught at over 200kph on his way to Philip Island a few years ago.
  9. You should be able to get tyres for much less than $4000. Theres a tyre thread in the General Maintenance forum. Dunlop DSST600s $2648 delivered.
  10. Thanks for the pics Baron. Damn. I wanted to see what it sold for.
  11. cbr250.com studricho? Small forum world.
  12. Its possible that it will be, but I don't know if anyone would knock THAT many k's off. I was referring more to the cars you see on car sales that have 80,000k's on the clock, seat bolster completely disintegrated, steering wheel, shift knob, pedal rubbers and handbrake warn down to nothing, holes in the carpet from the heel of shoes and so on. It would be interesting to see what this GTR looks like.
  13. Probably in better condition than the "80,000 genuine kilometer" examples you see around. Do you have any pictures of the actual car?
  14. The car was written off last year, just got around to pulling it out. Sold pending payment.
  15. http://www.vplates.com.au/index.php?page=plate-styles Troll IRL??:
  16. Sounds like an interesting project. Can you let us know where you found the shocks, or is it a secret?
  17. For sale: Gearbox from my R33 (clutch fork and slave cylinder will be provided). Price: $1150 Location: Bayswater Nth, Victoria Postage: Contact me for a courier quote. As a guide, it will be around $70 to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, a little more for WA & NT and regional areas.
  18. You would be better off contacting someone like Iron Chef or Beer Baron from this site. Let them know what you're looking for and they'll search the auctions for you. If you're planning on buying the car yourself from Japan without a broker site unseen, I'd advise against it. Seen some shocking (and uncompliancable) cars bought that way. You can't compliance the car yourself.... unless you become a Registered Automotive Workshop, which can take a long time and cost a massive amount of money. If you do a search on this forum you should be able to find a link to some of the auctions so you can see what cars are around.
  19. The car was in Croydon, parked on Dorset Road. It was always parked on the street, so it was just a matter of time before someone stole it. A friend of the owner posted on here when it was stolen. Heres the link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...l=stolen+dorset
  20. It's also possible that he spoke to a solicitor before hand who told him exactly what to say to get a lighter sentence. What he said was very eloquent and did sound scripted, not what you would expect from a guy who trashes a store. I'm hoping he just realised what he did was retarded and is manning up. It will be interesting to see the attitudes of the guys they start arresting over the next week.
  21. Statements from a person charged with damaging the BJ store while in court today: "I am willing to take whatever I cop in court on the chin," Lawson told the court. "I am trying to prove that I'm not a heartless person and and someone who doesn't care by coming in and turning myself in". Nice to see him standing up and taking his punishment. So common for people to blame others these days. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/turn-in-t...o-1225843490668
  22. One could only hope the photographer got pictures of the men who he said beat him. If that doesn't earn them a custodial sentence I'd be pretty angry, but not surprised.
