  1. A solution to this problem: Get some caster beans Make some ricin Coat the back of your GTR badge in ricin Glue it back on Good luck to any scum who pulls it off and touches the back. There may or may not be some innocent victims... There was an R32 Gts-t around the corner from me that was badged one night and then completely stolen 2 weeks later. Maybe they liked the badge so much they decided they wanted the whole car?
  2. Ah right, thats not even that bad. The news.com article demonised it. They're almost on par with ACA and TT. If it said "I'm happy that shop got smashed and we should riot more often" then it would be offensive. Edit: And before anyone gets their panties in a twist, the trashing cars for a wearing a shirt comment was a joke. Double edit: I know starting a sentence with "And" is frowned upon.
  3. Having read several write ups on Hennessey on other forums, I'd suggest you steer clear of them. If you send money, you may not get your parts, if you send your car to them, you may not get it back and if you buy a car from them, expect to find some nasty surprises! Just buy the equivalent HKS parts, apparently Hennessey just copied them anyway.
  4. Getting slightly back on topic: Apparently shirts are being sold supporting the damage done (if you can believe the Herald Sun). Feel free to trash the car of anyone seen wearing them as a "protest" against "hoons". You'll be getting your point out to the general public and doing them a favour, think of all the cash they'll get from their insurance!
  5. Is that the blue plate attached to the fire wall? The compliance plate is usually a pink sticker on the strut tower. If theres any chance that its a rebirth I'd walk away... but its unlikely a RAW would be selling rebirthed cars. Do some research on the company before buying from them though. Is it the car listed on the Imperial Imports website with 22,567k's? Theres something on the coil pack cover that says 2.6 24 and then Nismo. It appears to have a few Nismo options, such as the steering wheel. It does look like a very clean car. Edit: Steering wheel is Momo, not Nismo.
  6. $800 for coil packs? Where on earth do they charge that price?
  7. No ones twisting your words. What you've said is pretty clear. You're condoning riots because a car event was cancelled? You're either trolling or just not that bright.
  8. So if someone takes a baseball bat to your car, its okay because you earn $3000 a month and have insurance, right? I'd imagine he will need to pay an excess for the insurance and business will be affected while the damage is repaired.
  9. Try this for rail: http://www.holidaysallover.com.au/trains/g...orail.html#moto You can send them on their own, but it may cost more than if you're on the train also... Edit: Also here-http://www.gsr.com.au/our-trains/indian-pacific/taking-your-car.php
  10. Kiwi car carriers had a road transport service that was fairly cheap from QLD to Vic, but I'm not sure about NSW to WA. Is it possible to ship it by train? Driving it back is also a good option. It may sound like a lot in air fares, fuel and accommodation, but cars do get damaged in transport and getting the cash off the companies is not very easy. Have the person shipping it to you take detailed pics of it on the truck.
  11. They were trialing these cameras in my area late last year. From what I understand they target people with outstanding warrants, no registration, owner of a car has a cancelled license etc. They're not aimed at catching people with previous convictions/problems, just current ones. I could be wrong on that though.
  12. I'm in agreement with you on putting more on duty in the city at night, but the amount of dangerous driving I see around my area more cops would be a blessing. The more visible they are hopefully the less people will drive like wankers.
  13. As bad as it is, I've found Ebay to be the best way to sell a car. You do get a lot of time wasters asking questions so don't put any contact numbers up. Of the 4 cars I've sold in the last 6 months not one person contacted me through carsales.com or drive.com, but all sold within 2 to 3 weeks on ebay.
  14. Thats pretty f**king bad. One of my dads mates was like that, even went to jail for 3 months after being done for multiple (more than 15) drink driving offences. He still drink drives to this day and actually encourages others to do the same. Retards... so many of them.

    Car Sale Scams

Its just as bad trying to sell cars on those websites. I listed an Aristo last year and didn't get one contact that wasn't a scam. My favourite one went something like: "I am a Christian minister currently in Africa on a mission to help people struck down by illness...." and so on. I just use ebay now. You get a large number of time wasters, but you do get genuine interest in the car from some people.
  16. He seems to be spamming this everywhere. Probably to get 10 posts....
  17. I have an RB25det gearbox for sale. Are they interchangeable?
  18. Try changing the O2 sensor and getting a service and tune. 300k's a tank is too low.
  19. How much would a tow truck be from Winton? When I needed to move my R33 from Bayswater to Seymour (120ks) the prices were between $400 to $600 depending on the company. Winton is twice that distance from Melbourne. Tandem trailer hire is $100 per day and car hire is between $80 & $150 a day. Depending on how many days you're hiring the car and trailer for I'd say its the cheaper option.
  20. This is the Bunnings hie company: http://www.handyrentals.com.au/
  21. Vehicle Registration: TYP904 VIN/Chassis Number: 6U9000ECR33101239 Engine Number: RB25090313A Vehicle Make: NISSAN Vehicle Colour: WHITE Body Type: COUPE Year of Manufacture: 1996 Stolen Status: NOT-STOLEN Encumbrance Status: ENCUMBRANCE Written-Off Status: NOT-WRITTEN-OFF Hi mate, Will this encumbrance be removed? PM details to me please. Does the car have stock or aftermarket suspension?
  22. Will the cars being written off go to Fowles or Pickles? Could be a good way to pick up a cheap track car.
  23. You just reminded me of the Young Ones episode where the TV inspector is trying to catch them out, so they eat the TV Edit: Found the clip - Don't mention the congestion tax to too many people over here. It will get back to someone in the Melbourne council...
  24. I missed the story on the news. Did it have anything to do with that facebook group organising drags a week or so ago?
  25. That is a bit ridiculous. There really does need to be a shake up in the police force. Get rid of the "softly, softly" approach, re-evaluate their current hiring standards, stop the OPI from harassing officers over obvious bullshit stirred up by common thugs and make it a more streamlined process for officers to do their job. They should also do something about the court system that allows all of the hard work done by police to be basically spat on by judges who give grossly inadequate sentences out. That said, I spent between 5-12 hours a week doing unpaid overtime in my job as an accounts clerk and just about everyone else at the firm did the same (or more). If anyone didn't like it they were free to leave and find a new job. In my last job people would work for days straight, sleeping at the office, eating Nandos for dinner while sitting at their computers while not being paid overtime to meet deadlines. Thankfully I was on an hourly rate at that place! Every job has its down sides, treating people like shit and showing no interest because your tired of your job means you should no longer be working there. The negative attitude will do nothing but adversely affect your co-workers and you will be unhappy.
