I agree with Ash, run it in series then bridge the amp, the speaker will handle the amp if crossover is right for the box specs and not distorted or bass boosted to the max, the pioneer is closer to 80watts at 4 ohms in stereo at 12volts hence the model number 80watts x2channels =802 bridged it should be about 300ish at 12-13.8volts , 14.4 volts is a pipe dream for most cars. aim the speaker towards the back of the car or opposite corner to load it up the best.

Yes if the AMP can handle two ohm loads in stereo mode and you will need some sort of crossover set to about 80hz , depending on the rest of the setup and box type. you didnt' mention the type of amp or power of sub or amp so don't blame me if you put a 10000 watt amp on a 10 watt sub in free air setup..hahahah

cutting the rear deck can be hazardous, the ADR rules can defect the car if they want to be pricks and it would be costly to redo it you can port a 8 thru the rear deck using a existing hole, or even mount a 10 or 12 in the side panels in the boot. custom work but a decent shop can make you one. ebay molded boxes are average and take up more room the necessary don't overlook the new shallow mount subs either. ???

there is a pretty thick steel plate , between the front and rear part of the car. on coupes to stiffen the chassis , weighs a bunch but does help a lot for rear stiffness. pull out your rear seat you can see it and access the bolts to it. also there is a lot of bolt down holes along the rail near it. 10mm bolts if you want to hang a bracket off it. or you can look up under the rear deck, a few spots to hang a metal bracket down to secure a amp rack.or epoxy a bracket on the floor if you don't want to drill for fear of fuel tanks, brake lines, etc. ? I would hang a amp inside the rear panels to hide it and still have cooling, and you can mount a up to 12" sub on either side , behind the panels as well. without major drama or hacking
