  1. Yea he searched, this is better then the first thread in the skyline descussion forum lol First f**k the bov off cause they re a stupid modification Also +1 on just getting a good panel filter and probably don't need the short shifter but they are nice to have... I would invest in some good coil overs As well as check the condition of ur brakes, rotors, pads, fluid etc Justjap do some good intercooler kits as well
  2. Ahhh... No as in get an oil sample and have it tested in a laboratory... It will tell u if there's components with excessive wear as well as which component it is... This happens before u buy lol
  3. Id say there's a pretty good chance it's been changed if it's been written on but if it makes u feel better then do it for sure... Compression/leak down test it as well, at least if it dies u know u did everything u could to avoid it. Hell even get the oil sampled if ur mega keen
  4. Haha this thread just got interesting again Should be some good banter
  5. Would be keen as to see that back to back results dcieve
  6. Well I'd say based on that u probably have blown a head gasket, I'd be draining the lot and inspecting it Could well be ur oil pressure problem, so probably a new gasket as well as an engine and coolant flush... Unless anyone has some other theories.... If u ran it long enough to open the thermostat I may well find oil in ur coolant
  7. Did u compression test it? May be well worth it. 4th gear will b the one that crunches so check it by giving it a bit in third and then a firm shift into 4th will tell a story... That's cool the air con works though.. Not many do Also look into changing cv boots and suspension bushes with that 5g if not already changed At the end if the day I'd never buy a 34gtt over a 32 Gtr, u just don't get the same feeling when u drive it, even with all it's faults I love it
  8. Is there oil in ur coolant and/or milky oil when u drain it?
  9. Well I was goin to sell u my dipstick for cheaper then 40 lol
  10. U got a 34 for ur birthday?.... Do a search dude and if u have some specific questions then come back and ask
  11. Is the engine freshly built? Like u said clearances could be too large... Ie bearings
  12. Had the same problem, use an impact screw driver.... Or what I did was vice the pump, got the correct size driver with a large ring spanner on the handle for leverage, Then turned it while a mate pushed down and located the screw driver so it doesn't strip out
  13. Maybe talk to gcg, Remember mate, on top of the twin scroll ull need to buy two waste gates, I got 2 Tial ones from full race for 500.. And setting the plumbing up on a twin scroll is goin to be pricey as well... Other things to note with the twin scroll from full race is that ur power steering reservoir will need locating I personally had to chop a bit of reinforcement out of my bonnet cause the turbo sat high (not sure if that's due to the turbo or manifold, or both) My a/c compressor no longer fits as it fouls on the manifold And if u plan on running twin afm with a greddy "Y" pipe u will probably have to remove ur window washer bottles to fit ur intake
  14. After talking to Geoff at fullrace he recommended a 83/75 with 91. to make my goal of 400rwkw, approx 535rwhp from memory... Also using a twinscroll I'm running a 2.6 on stock compression so I don't see why u wouldn't make that power with a higher compression 2.8L. As for the gt35r Ive read of 350rwkw+ on 2.6l so I imagine u would get ur 500 there as well Remember the Borg Warner is a plain bearing so may be a touch laggier but will come on harder and b more Fun to drive I also got my 83/75 with v band for around the $900 mark where the Garret is more expensive I imagine. Hope that helps
  15. if ur continue to add weight to the bar i wouldnt be changing anything, when u plateau and get stuck is when u should start to change things up a bit i wouldnt recommend drastically changing routines eathier, vary the reps and very the way u perform the big compound lifts and that should usually get you through a rough spot
  16. Cheers mate, thanks for the info I was told they are good for the track and won't crack due to having the dimpled design as appose to the cross drilled.
  17. Pics of the rotors on the car anyone? Don't have mine on yet and wanna know what they are like
  18. Individual body parts work for me and I dont care what anyone says... I do Chest/ tris Legs Back/bis Shoulders Deadlifts All on individual days and I've gone from 69kg to 92 while still staying reasonably lean by watching what I eat, for functionality strength it's not the best but u will gain size, u will gain strength and u will look good... And just because it's individual body groups each day doesn't mean not doing cumpond lifts
  19. Standard size mate, Yea I pretty much got them based on looks, Running braided lines with remsa pads should be a good improvement hopefully
  20. That is one cool sprinter
  21. do like deadlifts!!! Squats... now theres an exercise i hate lol... along with crossfit, feel great afterwards though
  22. You have pm mate
  23. im running Remsa pads, got them off GSL Rally he reckons they are the pads all the high end european cars use i dunno how good the rotors will work, but they definatly look the sh*t IMO
  24. lol yea well u get to help me push it into the workshop so its a pain in the arse for u as well i know we like them, i want some more opinions though comon guys, dont need to be an expert to have an opinion
