  1. Mates running a t3/t4 eBay turbo and manifold... Hasn't had any problems yet and he is making 230ish rwkw on an auto VL.. I'd never take the risk running it on my Gtr though http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=350370167273 Mind u I bought my 83/75 Borg Warner brand new from the states for 950 bucks plus delivery
  2. Works fine mate. I got a PFC running with an AVCR for 6 months before my engine let go
  3. You can throw piston ring land in there as well, especially number 6
  4. Very interested to see how this turns out
  5. Nismo twin plate copper mix... Will never go back
  6. If it has fittings for water cooling I'd be using them mate
  7. Na Im having them plumbed in as we speak heh heh
  8. Yep if a 34 Gtr is what u really want then I wouldn't be spending anymore on the evo... That's just less money for the 34 when u do eventually get it
  9. What about 2 screamers on a twin scroll? Haha
  10. Too easy bud
  11. Pics of the twinscroll manifold please haha.. Interested to see how it's looks in the car Is it from full race?
  12. You want them to all be within 5% Though I'd say 60 and 70 psi is too low I know for a rb26 Nissan recommends a rebuild at 125psi I'd be getting a second tester and doing it again and then checking factory specs
  13. correct me if im wrong but the standard valve springs are pretty good, they get a bit tired after a while as all engine components do there are alot of stock heads pushing 350rwkw and reving to 8 and past that even. Like whats already been stated ur goin to know if theyre not working properly as valve float will show up at the top end of ur power curve on a dyno graph as for standard cams, they too do a pretty good job up to and past 350rwkw... gains are to be had by changing them out at this stage of tuning though some people are content with just some aftermarket cam gears with a bit of adjustment
  14. Regardless of how simple it may appear to design and make there are always goin to be a ways to improve it.... And ur goin to want to have it 100% if ur goin to be selling it in bulk to the general public Especially when it may be a 30 grand engine that it's being used on...
  15. Yea though that was the case
  16. Na mines a 32 mate... Only just got into the shop on Monday lunch time As for the crank trigger and the d'jetro I'm pretty sure its the same trigger when using the PFC with afms as well
  17. U didn't get to give it ago but I don't imagine it making a big difference though
  18. Yea thanks for coming haha
  19. Agree on the exhaust as well... I'd be willing to bet that the 3 inch diameter was ur problem 3.5 would just be a pass mark
  20. Yea I'll give it a go tonight when Its dead cold if I remember The whether has been sh#t cold here at night so will be a good test
  21. bonus that it's a one off purchase that wont need replacement so worst comes to worst and u wreck an engine you can just throw it on the new engine and away u go 300rwkw plus is where the the CAS problems tend to start... And there's alot more 300kw+ cars starting to get around
  22. Na couldn't get any more info on it.. Apparently it's got a fair bit more displacement then the 34 though Not sure how much larger u could get it lol
  23. I was also informed today that there is something bigger then the spool rb34 to come
  24. Yea I first heard about it about a year ago as well, but ur right I don't think many people will be spending the extra cash on some thing that isn't really necessary. Especially since its a modification for more "highly tuned" cars... I ended up buyin an engine that had already been built and I was happy with the 2.6 at that point in time ( it was a good price as well) Though when I do eventually kill the engine "will not if" I'll be using a 2.8 minimum Seems to be the common trend at the moment
  25. Yea 2.6 mate
