God... I wish I got a dollar everytime HPI magazine made these sweeping staements about Japan... Take it from me, I've had more experience in Japan than the whole HPI staff put together: It's Stay-gee-ah. In Japanese, they write ステージア... now see that hyphen? It elongates the 'tay' sound in Stagea. Because it's elongated, it's possible that the 'gee-ah' part sounds like 'jah' if said really quickly, but that doesn't mean it's pronounced 'Stay-jah'... nor by a long shot. And to those car import guys that go to Japan 3 - 4 times a year... I bet their Japanese lanuage ability ranks up there with their J-girl picking up skills

I'm outta here! Peace

Cool Project To Come Out Of Ford Australia. Drift Xr6.
Rezz replied to GTS_300_Coupe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I wasn't talking about that car in the first post, I was talking about the XR6T in general... I'd probably buy one if it wasn't so overweight. having said that, I think it's time for Holden/Ford to address the lightweight RWD crowd. Holden did that Torana concept thingy (was it RWD?) which is definately a step in the right direction. Stop all this family car business! -

They wouldn't want to be beat by a 20 year old AE86 now would they...? Theres only one (!) thing holding back the XR6T: Weight, weight, and it's a bloody big sedan. Put that donk in a Lexus IS250 sized car - preferably with a 2-door option - and holy good gravy there be some fiiiiine machinery right thar... -
Just looking at the pic 3/4 view from above, it seems like the wheels are a fair way in, but I could be wrong. I've got 25mm spacers on th FRONT of my car (hehehe Japanese stylez) just to get the wheels sitting right, so 10mm might do the trick. It looks sweet and well done on the EB aero mirrors 3 things I reckon every GT-R should: 1) get those rims flush with the bodywork, 2) forget about chrome anything 3) don't lower it *too* much.

I did, but my partner just gave HKS the details from one of his friends cars... he can only do it if his mates have the same car as the customer though. It's isn't a prerequisite for purchasing, but alot of the larger companies want those details. Your gasket will arrive for dispatch on Monday btw Michael

Thats a nice 32R there... luv the hardware But... I feel that the offset on those Axis wheels at the rear could be a little more agressive? What the offset? Maybe put some 20mm spacers on?
-
What happened??? My post... Anyway, folks I just wanted to let you know that theres no issue with sending faxes to HKS if you want stuff, they just want to know the exact part number, car chassis/VIN number etc kinda like a triple check? Good onya HKS

I'll do it. But will you actually pay 'a bomb' for this kit if it's available, or is it just so you can write it off in your mind as something not worth doing? If it's the latter I can tell you now it's not worth doing... probably why all wide 7th Meister cars run cheap overfender extentions.

Painting and Powder coating rocker covers

^^^ Nice one! Ican only fault the red GReddy badge... I know thats what is supplied, but a silver on black badge would look sweet. -
Hey? For both front and back they only want $400 for the lot?
-
It's funny that you think it's funny  All you people who can't get the point of the thread: stop whoring.
-
Melting down the 20" chromies and making them into a Junior 10 pin bowling league trophy would be a start too...
-
Wait a second... you're telling us not to believe photographic evidence that basically fits Danielsons description down to a 'T', yet you believe what he says (ie: I didn't do it! - Bart Simpson style) on a whim... a little consistency would go along way in your argument. I'm with Blitz... we want dated photographic evidence to say otherwise.
-
I'm on it mate... just let me deal with a bunch of orders that have appeared out of nowhere Are you desperate for these shocks? Mail me [email protected]

Did you even read the article? A anonymous driver took the photo of Danialsons car *in the act* and sent it in to the Herald Sun, and the end result is a damning article about Skylines!!! Mate reading between the lines to 'form your own opinion' is futile when the evidence is as clear cut as this... and just for the record I'm not accusing Danielson of anything in particular, I'm talking about the bigger picture and how a stupid afternoon of so-called 'fun' will affect Skyline enthusiasts as a whole. Bad Skyline press = Worsening Police harrassment. To all the people who want to be idiots in Skylines: Keep it on the track, the streets are for commuting, and FOR F#CKS SAKE be a SKYLINE AMBASSADOR! NOT A RETARDED HOON.

^^^ The bottom line is: It's bad press. His (danielsons) R33 was there on the day caught on film attached to an article about hoons. You're failure to see the bigger picture and how this hurts Skyline enthusiasts as a whole makes me think you're missing the point entirely.

Theres a Japanese site crather like www.ebaumsworld.com, and I always go to see the new wacky videos he puts up... and low and behold today it's a chikan vid. "This freak runs up to a girl - who is seated at a train station waiting - with his cock hanging out of his jeans... then proceeds to rub his manhood over her arms, and even attemps to go for the face... before running away without so much as a yelp from the girl. Just a 'wtf???' look on her face." I'll say it again. Until the wider community (and the victims themselves) stand up to this as awhole, it's gonna keep happening.

Factory Option R33 Front Bar Identification
Rezz replied to Greg's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I've researched this as best I can, even looking up old NISMO news items that date back to 1997 on the old Poweraxel site... but no luck. Are you sure it isn't aftermarket? -
I've got a quote fron Nissan JP for the front lower lip for R33 GT-R series 2, and *they* want A$720 for it... not including shipping. Any takers? Edit: I just got another quote for the R32 window seals etc, and apparently the quarter window seals are only available WITH GLASS. If you want both sides it'll cost about A$450 without shipping.
-
Thanks Richard When parts can be bought from Nissan locally for under $100 it kinda negates the reason for getting the parts from Nissan JP... unless you need multiple parts of course. But at $40 for those 'top of the door' rubber strip things I would be getting them from Nissan AU.
-
I can't get the parts to you in less than a week... it'll probably take 2 weeks. But if youre happy to pay those prices in order to get the parts quicker then thats fine. I'll still get prices for these parts anyway. Trouble is, I don't think the bumper is within the max dimentions for EMS. Any Japan members attempted sending a front bumper via EMS before? Mate if you could get part numbers off of FAST that would make my friends job so much easier... can you get them?

I used to think dickheads were confined to VN Commodores and the like... but who would've thought after reading x amount of threads on SAU in 2006 that the old VN Commonwhore hoon stereotype is now being thrust upon R33 owners because of a handful (ok maybe more than afew) P-plater assholes. Lets show the Police that we're wholly against this behaviour by forming an SAU 'lynch mob' and do whatever we can to prevent this shit?
-
Ok everybody, I will get quotes back this week, just hang in there for a few days. Predator/BlackR32: If I put together a 'Respray pack', what rubbers houl be included? Front and rear window seals and...? Let me know because I think this is a good idea not just for people who want to respray, but also for people who are sick of the faded and crappy rubbers.
