  1. How do you figure that? Because thy don't use street names??? I have an address:confused:I think the Japanese system works ok considering the unbelieveable amount of urban development... no gun toting Postal workers here
  2. HKS gear only Ken aaaaaaaand you'd have to be a very special person...
  3. Hahaha... no Oh do tell us about the article though, I wonder what news they've rugurgitated this time?

    Mini in Japan

Mini's are popular here because a) they're cute, B) Japanese women love 'cute' and c) they're cute... there are some hardcore Mini fans out there who mod their Mini's and paint a big Union Jack on the roof with roll cages and hi-cams etc, but they're just an *accessory* as are most niche cars (long term Japan resi pls back me up )... I'm not suprised they go cheap at Auction. Whether the same enthusiasm can be found in AU I don't know.
  5. Ok, 'Power Garage TestaRossa' (my preferred RB tuning garage ) say that the RB25DET Neo-6 is a huge improvement over the R33 RB25... also the Neo-6 (later ones) are rated at 280ps from the factory, so I think they'd handle as much as the R33 RB25 and then some! I've heard that up to 70% of the Neo-6 RB25 is all new. I think most of the differences of the 2 engines come from head and cams... that means: R33 cams can't go in the Neo 6 RB25, theres some differences with the cam angle sensor or something... injectors I'm not sure, but that would be easy to find out yourself.
  6. Flat screen? All the new games in Japan (going back what a year or two) all have flat screens... what are you talking about?

    Halfcast

C110GTR: That R33 with R34 face is from Uras and just the front fenders alone cost 41,000 yen (almost A$500)... factor in R34 headlights/bonnet/Uras R34 front bumper, and you're looking at another A$1,500 (A$2,000 total) *without paint*... bear in mind these are just guesstimate prices (new parts) and would depend largely on how many used parts you can find. Similar prices for the Fairlady Z, but I think the 180SX/R32 conversion would be cheapest. I think a guy in AU has already done the 180SX/R32. **Edit: the guy in AU did a S13 Silvia/R32

Ok... so are you gonna tell him how much the kits cost now?
  9. Anthony, I'll be IN Kyoto tomorrow with Kayo!!!! I give you a call buddy
  10. Hmmmm yep... I'd say exactly the same thing about the N13 Pulsar... it seems the (later) Japanese version got better tail lights (al la Skyline) but the earlier models all got the crap front end ie: sqaure lights/indicators.
  11. ^^^as you can see, I didn't feel anything down here in Ashiya... as most of the other JP residents didn't.
  12. Pffft 5.2? No offence, but hardly worth mentioning...
  13. I got a little further in the game... Theres a circuit called 'Circuite de la Sarthe', it is and absolutely awesome track, rather like the 'Isle of Man' bike race circuit but for cars. In it you can hold the exelerator down for 2 -3 mins full throttle in the LM cars = speeds of about 370 -380km/h... "so what" I hear you say? Well in GT4 the sensation of 300km/h+ speeds has improved sooooooooo much, you'll almost crap yourself everytime you get in a real racing car!!!! Seriously, this is THE ultimate car simulation, bar none I also got the 'Carbon R'... built by Power House Amuse, it's a carbon bodied R34 GT-R with 600ps standard. It has spectacular handling on the circuit, well, with only 1100kg to lug around it had better handle good! ... and I also got the 'Toyota 7'. It's a 1970 Can-Am category car... this car is really special... in 1970 it had: carbon fibre and FRP body, twin-turbo 5000cc V8 (check out the pics to see the crazy turbo placement!!! Talk about a short exhaust pipe!) pushing out 800ps @ 8000rpm all in a 620kg chassis!!! I love this game... I can't put it down.
  14. Hi Ikeri Happy New Year! This week is my New Year holiday so I'm just staying at home playing GT4 hahaha Are you working tomorrow? Usually Saturday afternoon and Sunday are my days off, so I can come and see you at Autobacs then... Yeah, lets have dinner this weekend? My friend Anthony is here in Osaka right now so I'll introduce you to him, ok?
  15. This Neo-6 came out of an R34 GT-T. It's had an RB26 inlet manifold conversion. AFAIK the ones with the Neo-6 cover don't have any 'Twin Cam 24 Valve' badging on the black middle peice... just a plain plastic spark plug cover.
  16. Guys if you think this kinda undercarriage damage has to do with shipping companies then you'd be wrong... My car (yes $2,000 shitter) has EXACTLY the same undercarriage damage... and it hasn't even left Japan!!!! This kinda dodgy sh*t happens right here in Japan, and don't think these dodgy bastards in the car trade will be honest about it. They'll pick up the car with a forklift for any reason at all... jeez I think sometimes (for example) the car hoist is already being used at the reapair shop so they just lift the thing up with a fork lift and try and fix whatever needs to be fixed... the Japanese are dodgier than the Artful dodger himself.
  17. Roy!!! Oh no... that underbonnet fire looks horrible. I hope it turns out ok. Oh yeah, "wear the GTS-t badge with pride"!!
  18. Keep it going guys! What a collection... even by Japanese club standards they're all good.
  19. eg: I only just saw the 'Sileighty' after 5 days...
  20. mmmgtir: haven't seen the GTi-R yet... but it could be in the game? It's hard to say because the 'Used Car' section changes vehicles every 10 days or something, so you might miss seeing a particular car for quite a while, only to have it pop up 3 years after you bought the game hehehe
  21. Stevie: It seems Yamaouchi Kazunori thinks the only whales worth having in the game are GT-R whales... sorry. R32 GTS-t Type M's are in though (woohoo - I've already made a 'look-alike' thats just like my car). predator: Whats 1080i? I haven't realy changed any graphics setting yet bar the 16:4 screen ratio.
  22. Hello mate
  23. I never done this before... so if it's that easy, lets do it!
  24. Oh yeah I almost forgot: there's a feature in the wheel shop called 'Wheel Of The Day', where you can put *any* wheel from *any* car (bar the Daimler Motor Carrriage) on to the car you are modifying. The wheels change daily (of course) with about 15 wheels on show each day. It's a pretty cool feature because alot of wheel that aren't represented in the brand name shops (ie: Bridgestone, Yokohama, OZ etc) are in the Wheel of the Day section... eg: Regamaster wheels are in WOTD, but not in the brand name shops. There are alot of steelies and hubcaps from oldschool Vw's and Yank cars that you can put on your Cizeta V16T!!!
