  1. Hey, Do you have some pics of the rims front on? and what type of tyres are they? Also which part of nsw you in? Cheers mate
  2. Both are quite different cars. The r34GTT is older, not as comfy nor as high tec as the 350gt. but imo, its more raw, like a blank canvas to work with. The 350gt is a good car but i think its more domesticated, more luxurious. Even though i like both cars i never saw the V35 as part of the 'official' skyline family such as the r32,r33,r34 etc. (dont flame me lol) If you wanna mod and have fun buy the r34 and use the money left over to make it killer. If you just want something cool to drive around in every day then i would go the 350gt, not to say you cant mod it...but its quite nice stock, unlike the the r34 wher you will likely have to spend more time fixing things up. But thats all part of the fun!
  3. oh dammit. the interior of the series 2 is hot!...ugh. i didnt even knowwwww... but i like the exterior of the series 1 gtt better.
  4. Hey mate, Did you try Justcars? Im 21 with the same car as you (probably minus the mods) but I have a flawed history with speeding (damn lane cove tunnel...i was OVERTAKING!) and a claim (...someone stopped in front on me suddenly at like 50km ). But yeh, Im paying around 2k insurance. (the excess is a bit over the top). It just seems 3k is a bit expensive for someone with a clean history. Might be the crime rate area, but yeh. The more money you save on insurance, the more money you have to mod!
  5. hahahaha ur a champion mate. Just got to japan... and looking for a GTR. I would love to do the same. =) why not go for a r34? or even the R35?! cant be that expensive over there =P Theres a thread lying around on what to check when buying skylines...dont knw where it is, go read it, its pretty good. post pics of your GTR when u do get it!
  6. lol mate i think they're is something wrong with your car. R34GTT? 17l/100kms doesnt look right at all. Unless you've been stuck in really horrible not moving traffic. You checked to make sure you're not leaking oil? my advice would be to take it to a mechanic to check it out if you're continuously on 17l/100kms.
  7. $30,000 AUD brand new? dammit thats cheap! and they sell it here 9 years later for about the same price. $25k approx.
  8. As the title suggest, im curious as how much the r34GTT sold brand new in Japan when it first came out? If any one has actually any info about the non GTR's price for the 32,33,34 I curious to know.
  9. Thanks for the replies and PM's, I've replied to the PMs. Will consider the rest . =]
  10. Hey mate, Can you PM me your details? I might need a routine check...I got a wierd light problem going on.
  11. Hi, Im after various parts for the R34GTT such as: - Any form of bodykit. Nismo, Eastbear etc. - Front clear indicators - Interior panels, if you've got anything let me know as i might be interested. - Wheels - Exhuast - Intake - Anything really, if you dont want it, i might buy it. Cheers.
  12. Hey nice car! =] bump from me. Are you separating any parts? I am very very very keen in your front indicators.
  13. No probs, Um...I got mine in Japan when i was there. =S Otherwise im not too sure where to get them, some traders sell them around. Are you in Sydney? Because i think they're are a couple in sydney floating around somewhere. And if you're really desperate you can come get my old green one, but its missing a suction cap. lol
  14. I think they're called wakaba's? i have both at home, bought the old for my mum as a joke. the learners one is yellow/green and the elderly ppls one is yellow/orange. learners is like a arrow looking thing and the elderly one is...more teardrop shaped from memory. I'll post pics up later if i've got time. I might have a spare one i could sell u.
  15. im in for the next one! =] cant wait!
  16. Hey are u the guy i met at the maccas sau meet last night? Well in either case. R34, if ur planning to buy in sydney u have to be careful coz they're heaps of dodgy ones. Definately read the post on wat to check. Bring a friend who knows cars inside out, that really helps. Check engine, fluids, compliance plates. etc. Basically check the whole car thoroughly. Also getting a third party checker like state roads also helps alot. They can spot alotta problems for u. $200 is a small price to pay for the third party check when your making a large investment into a r34. Pricing wise, haggle a bit, dont pay more than $25000, coz the R34 is not worth that much (its 9-10 year old car now) Interior should match the age. Try to get one with import papers/log books. Hmmm...theres quite a bit...lol it took me 3 weeks to find a good one. stock is better... If you do get one, the price u pay for the car will not be the last thing you pay for. Also remember you have to pay for insurance, rego, stamp duty, misc fix up costs etc. often all that will be quite alot. so add about $3k ontop the price you pay to get the car on the road. I think i've written enough, good luck on ur buy! R34s rock. except the premium petrol costs...thats a killer. If you got anymore questions feel free to ask
  17. If you're gonna buy a 34 or a s15, please make sure u be careful choosing one. There are so many dodgy ones out there ESP. on parra road. Not to "defame" any businesses but some of them are just the worst. Good luck man =] both are nice cars at the end of the day.
  18. wow, thats freakin hot! sorry if u've mentioned it already, but wat kinda of kit is that and where did u get it? love the look!
  19. A rating thing would be ok right? Like rate particular workshop from 1-10, like a poll. Then it wouldnt be slander, since its just a number rating. Just like news polls. One vote per member and eventually it stacks up and the numbers speak for themselves. So member can get a general idea of the particular company without the worry of being sued. Im just throwing ideas. =]
  20. They seem to be national? =S not just sydney or queensland. anyone actually used their services and their name? I got this from their website for the sydney area: "Amandio Abreu Northern Beaches 0414 568 777 George Ayoub Hornsby 0408 166 086 Garry Prior North Shore 0419 992 859 Wayne Pracey Five Dock 0425 279 762 Michael Rae Hills Area 0409 556 681" Just a couple of names and numbers, any of these familiar?
  21. The pics are of a R34GTT (Turbo). Thats 1998 and above. R33 gtst should be $14k - $18k R34 gtt $22k-$30k depending on the condition of the car. U would never pay $26k for a R33 gtst.
