  1. This is the winnar. excellent job mate. very few people ever get modifying a skyline right, and you've done a awesome job.
  2. goddamit, if this was in sydney i woulda taken it off ur hands...
  3. You're kidding me right? OZHONDA is the best forum... nah, im f*cking with ya all. lol...SAU is actually pretty awesome. Although i have to admit, that JDMST has a better visual site... We should really spruce up SAU a bit. it deserves a more funky layout...and header!
  4. Wow. you're the first person that i even remotely know that has one of these cars. Very nice buy...im somewhat jealous. Its kinda funny how you had a r34 skyline and a 350z and now you have this, its like a merge of the 2 old cars. a 350z platform like car with the skyline name and backseats. Looks very comfy.
  5. If its a cop, then you might be screwed, if its a member of the public with a axe to grind you're probably screwed too. I mean if they're serious enough to pursue it to the end, they have no lives or they're that determined to take you down. I would highly doubt anyone would bother to the point to take you to court. Probably gonna go home and whinge about it. However if they remember your plates just dont park your car too much in public areas or they might remember your plates and be like "oops, my keys slipped" hahahahaha. a reason why not to get personalised plates. much easier to remember for both postive and negative reasons.
  6. ^ beat me to it. lol If i remember correctly, Subaru's official statement was that it wanted to shed its 'boy racer' reputation for a more mature stance. well it worked...no one with a decent sense of taste can love that thing. This generation around, the evo design team has owned subaru...even a normal lancer looks more appealing.
  7. 22b's = epic win. current model = epic fail. ...the only models i didnt like is the one now and the bug eyed one...but even the bug eyed one looks like jessica alba compared to the hideous one we have now. its lost all its 'rexiness'... although that being said, performance has been pretty good...engine etc. just the exterior killed it...and the interior..is so cheap and nasty.
  8. Check the back of your license, it should say which cars you are prohibited to drive. And not to sound like im picking on you or anything, but maybe buying a skyline and not knowing much about cars isnt a great idea. lol Theres alot of work if you plan to keep it, and alot of headache if something goes wrong...and also very expensive... But if you're willing to learn then welcome aboard.
  9. Alot of the aftermarket bodykits are modeled after GTR kits. ie. Eastbear, Do Luck, Top Secret. etc. Unfortunately theres not that much available for the34...and sourcing a good quality kit narrows the options further down. Just dont stick GTR badges everywhere and you should be fine I personally, love the ztune/doluck kit, i think they would look awesome on a dark coloured car. esp with the ztune bonnet. theres a r34bodykit thread in the cosmetic section of this site.
  10. ^^ That looks like the topsecret GTR bumper +eyelids
  11. More or less, yes. Or they are a official sponsor of some sort. Japanese parts all come with stickers. In japan it is quite normal to have a shopping list of official parts on your car, but culture there is different, there is less crime(so advertising parts has less worry), no P-plater hoons and car modification is a highly regarded 'career'. it is quite well respected. It also much cheaper to purchase parts there which make brand name parts more accessible to the public, unlike australia. However this culture has been bastardized by many people just pointlessly putting stickers everywhere for the sake of it. I blame the following: Fast and Furious series, Intial D fanboys and MaximumTune3 (2 was ok.)
  12. Item: Set of White Enkies RP01's 17'' with Bridgestone Tyres Age: Unknown Condition: Excellent Price: Trade, otherwise I'll have no wheels To Fit: (What car): R34GTT, but should fit most cars. 114.3 x 5 +38 offset I believe, comes with spacers for the rear = very sexy Location: Sydney Contact: PM me. or 0411-843-038 Comments: Im looking for something different. Recently got these wheels off another member, all in very good nick and awesome white pearl colour. Im looking for another set of 17''. Jap wheels only. such as work etc. throw me what you got. Basically a straight swap or with minor cash adjustment if needed. Really looking for something bronze coloured. PM if interested and want more info/pics. should upload some later, but im buggered lazy uploading pics. Ideal set would be 17'' work XD9/te-37 in bronze.
  13. If the keyword is 'EVERYDAY' then go the r34. at least you'll have backseats and a 'decent' boot.
  14. I feel obligated to say that it might be better to buy the parts as slim has suggested and get the stickers off that, otherwise you'll cop a lot of slack from people. (being called a ricer etc). and not only that it attracts alot of unwanted attention from cops/thieves/people who dont like stickers. I doubt many people on SAU have a shopping list on the side of their car. Otherwise: www.88speed.com sells them. http://www.88speed.com/catalog/product_inf...products_id/166 nissan package?lol
  15. might as well get the turbo r34 mate. fuel wont make that much of a difference between NA 34 and turbo 34. fuel consumption is based on how heavy ur foot is on the pedal. GTT: you can get 400kms out one tank with normal driving. averaging around 12.5l.100km on most occasions. i managed to get 500kms in one tank driving one way from castle hill(sydney) to wagga wagga. thats spooling abit too. I would think, with optimal highway driving with keeping revs at about 2.5k revs, speedlimit you could push 550kms r34 types: GT (non turbo) GTX (non turbo) GTV (non turbo) GTT (turbo) GTR (turbo...ftw)
  16. fark me. 5.5k. u be buggered to find a corolla for 5.5k in sydney let alone a skyline. nice buy man. damn im jealous. some TLC and it'll be sweet
  17. He means posting torrent links on SAU, not the program. hahahaha. in before close.
  18. Just some generic points I thought that might help people. 1. Follow your nose. For some reason, some skylines/other imports i sat in had a wierd odour in them. One was a rx7 at a certain dealership *cough* and had a strong smell of vomit/dogshit/chemicals...If the car smells off...that would be a first indication that somethings wrong. I understand people can get cars washed interior etc...air freshners, but a car thats 10 years old...develops a certain smell to it. People might find this point stupid...but it came to me when i first bought my car, when i first sat in it, it just felt natural and clean. It had a light cigarette smell but it wasn't overly powerful/unpleasant. It still has, and i kinda love it. its got this vintage jdm smell to it. lol 2. newais. Secondly, something else i remembered. The owners of the particular import yard play a large role in it. the certain dealership *cough* i remembered the douche bag salesman was boasting how quick and powerful this r34 was with all its mods. I still remember his words. "I took this beast and thrashed it on the weekend...and phwoar it just went"...and im standing going...wtf?...u tool. with a attitude like that, its great to know how well you treat your cars. The place where i bought my r34 from, i ask the guy, the engine is still warm, how come? and he said, the "boss drives this car to and from home sometimes...(some old jap guy) coz its reliable..." and just from that...i was impressed. 3. check some of the second hand cars on sale on sau. some are lemons, but sometimes a gem pops up. like the silver one gtt with the gtr conversion front...that car is mint imo. you can tell from the photos that the owner takes pride in his work. 4. When checking online private sales. If the owner has little no desctiption of the car, i dont even bother. ESPecially if i says "looking for quick sale"...bullshit. if someone really cherished their car, they would be able to list every detailed mod off the top of their heads and have a detailed description. and the pictures. the more the better, the clearer the better and also if its taken at night, what are they hiding? daytime, clear, pro shots say alot. Another thing i tend to like is a clear name, and a moblie and home phone number. if its just Q. 0413438584..etc. call after 10pm. stuff it. but if its, Jonothan. home, mobile, cant pick up during work hours, etc, please leave messge, its more credible. ok. wat a write up. hope this helps. =]
  19. I would not recommend ANY car from Edward lees. PM if you want to know why...sine we're not allowed to bad mouth companies openly.
  20. looks very neat and tidy. good work man. go get petrol
  21. do log books actually count for much? just wondering how reliable they actually are. not taking a jibe at logbooks are anything. more curious. r34GTT. 70k kms...aparently. lol
