Do you mean the pointy ended one sticking out or the smaller one inside? Sorry for the vague description, I could only feel underneath the unit. Coz last time this happened, I got it fixed at Powerplay (when I got new tyres) and the mechanic had to take the unit out first. Also is there any long term damage from this? I've been busy at work so havent had the time to fix it. Ill give it a try again, Thanks mate.

Hi all, Was wondering if a local SAU member or anyone could just give me a hand with something. I have a R34GTT and heres my problem: The hose which measures and connects the boost gauge has disconnected from the unit in the engine bay. So one end is connected the engine side, but the other end is just sucking in air pointlessly, where it should be connected to a small unit. I can't seem to get the unit out as I dont have a small enough wrench or what not to unscrew the unit, and engine work is not my forte. Would be great if someone could just help connect the damn thing back as my car seems be misfiring and boosting strangely. Will repay with beer. PM if you can help and which beer you like Ill take a photo and diagram it up later, but its should be really simple. LOL thats halirious coz I did exactly the same thing, bought LEDS and then realised i had no idea how to isntall them xD but luckily it is quite easy as everyone has said. just pop it out, change and put back in. You can do in 10mins with no tools.

Good to see another Skyline enthusiast but this topic has been covered to death with comparisons to many cars. I would try a search on the forums because there's a mountain of info relating to all the topics you're inquiring about on SAU. Also, the VRX and 34 and completely different cars so it would be like comparing apples to oranges. Cheers mate

Theres nothing wrong with a AT GTT. If you plan to track the car alot and spend tens of thousands getting maximum power from the car then manual would make more sense. But for a daily driver/cruiser, why not? If you live in Sydney, it actually makes more sense with the stupid amount of traffic on the roads now. Its really up to you, there's nothing wrong with MT either if you do prefer manual, its your car so buy something you're comfortable driving with and enjoy. People who instantly condemn a car based on its transmission are just acting like 12 year olds. Seriously who the f**k cares? Congratulations you have a manual car, but it doesn't mean you're instantly better than everyone else. Grow up, a transmission doesn't make a car what it is, both transmissions have their pros/cons so just leave it at that.

Hahaha this is like the most common problem for 34 owners. myself i've had this for a while...I should probably replace the coils soon. Most other 34 owners have found replacing the coils to do the trick. Is there any long term damage to the car if we dont replace the coils asap?

Its hard to tell which ones are the douchebags and which ones are the nice skyline owners so at the lights 90% of the time if i pull next to another sports car i dont make eye contact i case they think im trying to race them coz usually thats wat happens....or they yell something at you (sydney is just getting worse imo). so sometimes im not giving the cold shoulder, its just being cautious. but when ever i do see a fellow skyliner and we both nod/wave it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. lol

Just something random: You can also leave your license for the helmet deposit if you didnt wanna bring so much cash Also on the way down from Sydney if you're using the M7 you'll need a etag or you go through some weird registration thing which i had to do today pain in the ass...

You know the glass company "O'briens"? or something along those lines. I remember they fix windshield glass chips and stuff by injecting something into it or whatever. You could give them a go. Or the other method I can think off the top of my head is to find a wreckers and just get a replacement windshield.

Current car market isnt very good. So you might find it hard to sell your car. But if your 33 is in great condition, I would suggest you keep it and turbo it...coz even if you buy a 34, it might not be near as good condition as your 33 and what could even be worse is if it was a lemon. Then you'd be stuck without a great 33, left with a lemon 34 and still no turbo Since the 33 is in good shape, could be worthwhile to build it up.
