  1. Got a buyer for our investment property ... at last. Time for a new toy
  2. Just got off the phone to MV Auto (finally got thru) and they couldn't tell me much over the phone ... not even a quote on the replacement solenoids. They want me to get the Stagea to them, but I'm flat out this week. I know more on what I'm going to do, when I get home. Glad this happened now, not when I was in Kadina over the weekend.
  3. No. I agree. I have 3rd only (not even 2nd) ... gearbox is young and I had a service/shift kit done last year. I'll limp the car home tonight (only 20 min drive) and check the fluid level out. I really think thats what it is. If not, then its off to MVs for a diagnosis.
  4. Any idea of the cost for Adam to fix? I'd like not to believe its the solenoids. Everything I read, the box plays up a bit now and again before the solenoids fail. But my box has never played up. This happened out of the blue ... no warning. Is why I'm thinking, maybe I have a trans leak and fluid is low (one can only hope). Or a loose connector/wire.
  5. Do I look that stu... Do I even sound that stu ... Oh, never mind
  6. No aftermarket ecu. Stock ecu does appear to be in limp mode. I've browsed the Stagea and Transmission threads and have a few options (although none are definite solutions). I'm going to start with the easiest solution and work my way up to the harder (expensive) solution, by checking the trans fluid level first. I doubt its the solenoids (and hope they're not) as the car is only 61,000kms old and MV serviced the box less than 10,000kms ago ... plus the shift solenoids are expensive! If all else fails, I guess I'm doing that manual conversion sooner than I thought. I'll also check the Mv invoice for the warranty period and have them dianose the box problem. I'll drive the silver stag around in the meantime.
  7. Damn ... Stagea is stuck in 3rd gear. A/T light flashes at me and stag drives in 3rd gear (since lunchtime today). Had a service and shift kit installed by MV Auto 10,000kms ago ... whole car only 61,000kms old. Anyone got any ideas? I've already hit up the Stag section for an answer. Registered the silver Stag today, so I guess thats a sign to take the black stag off the road for a while.
  8. Hi y'all My Stagea developed a auto trans problem today during my lunch break. When I start up the car (or turn ignition on) the A/T light flashes 16 times. I'm now driving the car stuck in 3rd gear all the time (limp mode?). Going tiptronic and changing manually does nothing. Anyone able to identify what is wrong ... not guess what is wrong? I had MV Automatics in Blackwood service the box and put in a shift kit some 10,000kms ago and the whole car is only 61,000kms old. Never had any problems ... been flawless. A loose wire perhaps? I'll give MV Auto a call when I have a moment. But any help in the meantime would be great. Especially from those who had the problem before and found a solution that worked.
  9. Drool worthy 1600s?
  10. Poor lad. He's never going to hear the end of it.
  11. As long as my biker mates still go there, then so shall I. We've been attending BP for over 8 years now and we haven't left yet. Its central, and its convenient ... and provides for good laughs at the wide variety of 'types' that go thru there.
  12. Ha. I recall a year or two ago, the BP had a security guard who stood out front. Tried to get the bikers to move on. At that time they were trying to enforce a 30 minute maximum parking time. We argued it wasn't acceptable, because we were patrons, and to shoo us on in 30 minutes when we needed time to refuel, eat and drink. And they did not have signage in place to advise of the parking limits anyway. Their next strategy was to close the public toilets. But that was illegal and we pointed that one out. Facilities must be made available to the patrons during full opening hours. Must just be a BP thing Some dude at the Port Wakefield BP was complaining about Troy's car being parked at a pump ... when he was in the line to pay for fuel. The same dude just minutes later was parked in front of the automatic doors, next to my Stag (parked legally). When we left the BP I blew the guy a kiss.
  13. Break your shoulder ... that pain don't go away for months!!!
  14. ^^^ LOL Most memorable quotes: "I got a cock on my face" "She shells she shells by the she shore" barf!
  15. Oh yes ... I should say that it was good to meet the "other halves" of Ryan, Shane and Martin. Good to meet you ladies. Had so much fun with the gang (and picking on poor Lukey boy) ... gotta do it again! Its a shame the country folk haven't caught on with the blue mesh craze They don't know what they're missing
  16. Shame on Steve for upsetting a "real" 4WD entrant But I'm sure the guy has had a dose of HTFU by now. And congrats Cara! Dion, I saw that blue Territory sitting right up your arse! You shoulda given him some flames There were some real impatient drivers on the way home. See that small car (forgotten make) doing over 160kph in the rain!!!!!
  17. Well done to all who attended. Was great going away for such an event with a bunch of good guys (and gals). Award for "Great Sport" goes to Luke for putting up with the cruelty we did to that poor lad at such a weak (and heavily drunken) moment. I think a few of us had some "the night before" grogginess. I'm stuffed. I'll say more later, but right now I want beer, and movie, and then going to crash! Lack of sleep thanks to a good reason to stay out late drinking.
  18. No sweat. I'll go hide the girlie movies, so you and Tracy don't make the night unbearable.
  19. I LIKE IT!!!!!!
  20. Dan swore!!!
  21. I finished HS. Finished Uni. And still studying. Does that make me Einstein? Or a nerd like Dan
  22. Scum! Remind Ben I have that door he can have. Get the Stag fixed up asap.
