Spotted a red series 1 RS4 Stagea heading towards Anzac Hwy from West Terrace/South Terrace lights today. Lass in the driver's seat, but didn't look my way for a wave. Prob a wise move

Why all the hate dude? And didn't you know blue mesh is good for 10rwkw? Well, did some digging. Yes the mesh does restrict flow, but only marginally. And it does so to disrupt laminar flow and induce turbulence. It can also change the way the AFM reads, and alter the load figure the ECU uses.

IMO prob only slightly faster spool up. Turbo size and filter used already determines volume of air. It would only have a small effect outside the effects of turbo and filter. I reckon its just spools up marginally quicker, but you'd wouldn't know it. Anybody got any "on paper" testing/documentation?

They're not sensitve to particles in the air (turbo 'maybe' if you run no pod and drive thru sand storm) Ouch! Why all the blue mesh hate

I always go by the rule that the factory put it there for a reason. Also ... how much of that (claimed) 11% increase will you gain depending on what filter you run? Seems like a too greater risk to me, for such a (realistically) small gain. I doubt you'd notice any gain. Any other thoughts?

Burnouts in the middle of the town Cowes on Phillip Island on a party-pumping Saturday night at MotoGP time is part and parcel of the event. All done in good spirit and the cops know it and tend to let it slide. Static burnouts are tolerated, to a point; rolling burnouts are not, due to being more risky/dangerous. The street is closed off to general traffic anyway, and only bikes permitted. I don't support hoon behaviour on the road, but a nice burnout at the right place/right time doesn't hurt no one.

Looking at the vid makes me regret not getting out there in the end. Was it windy out there also? How many SAU boys did we have out there, or was Stewy the only one? Sounds like you had fun. Vid looks good. I'm sure your turn 1 spin would be me all over the track if I tried Again, pity I couldn't get out there for a look-see. Of all the years I've tracked and raced (and the occasional drift) around Mallala on bikes, I've never done it in the wet. Just like you, not sure if I could do a wet track. Wet tracks scare the hell outta me.
