I'm thinking of an RB25/30 DET into a R31 GTSX with GT3071

Fixed for you

Work ... and lots of it. Both my admin assistants are off today, so I'm in the office alone. The Mille is still too pricey imo. And I've ridden an SP2 ... you won't like the cramped riding style and the frame flex under abuse. Brakes are good tho. But I've got Brembos on the TLR now which are far better.

Stansbury is the wrong way down Been to Stansbury a few times for a getaway. Nice place Was fun driving around the Wool Bay area and checking out how bloody huge those wind generators were

I have thought about it ... but it almost tore my guts out. But that day may come one day. I do already have a list of mate's who want it (and would kill me for it ) but I'll keep you in mind, in case I see a new toy I want. Nugsy, you might recognise the TLR like this when I use to drag race/track day it ... just before I got my drag bike built. This was before all the good stuff went on

Similar story to when I crashed my bike. Took my shoulder 3 months to heal and I still didn't have my bike back to ride! Went to the bike shop and they said they were waiting on the assessor to give the go-ahead. The assessor had been out 10 weeks prior and the bike shop still didn't hear anything. I tried chasing the assessor up by phone. Two phone calls later and the promise of being called back, I marched into the insurers office in town. I think my exact words were "where is this cock who has not approved my repairs?". He sheepishly came out and made up excuses, but I took none of that. Pointed out to him, that my shoulder had healed faster than they were fixing my bike, and that was not acceptable! Bike was approved for the repairs that afternoon. Sometimes you gotta kick up a stink to get the wheels turning.

Hmm, the amount of times I had to kick the door to alert my (ex)wife to open it, because I'm using my hands to stop myself bleeding to death, is numerous. I'm surprised I've still got a right thumb after the amount of times an angle grinder has almost taken it off. I have pretty good reflexes, but its not good sometimes when you drop a running grinder and your reflex action is to catch it! Scars all over it and it 'clicks' now My mate burnt himself good and proper when I welded up a top mount manifold for my CA18DET with steampipe bends. I went to remove it from the jig (with welding gloves!) and my mate decided to grab it too to help. Boy did he cry like a little girl.

Playing with the new PC box for my surveillance last night. Took a bit, but got it working. Then I find out its not accepting my password to configure the software. I definitely wrote down the password when I installed the software. Time to reinstall the software and try again! Tonight I'll plug in the cameras and see how it performs. Next I upgrade the cameras and log in over the internet, so I can watch my f**king dog misbehaving from work.

I've been tinkering with cars and bikes for 20 years ... where do I start? A mate of mine (who was a small engine mechanic) and myself worked on a ride on lawnmower. Ripped the engine down and bored it out and fitted another block, crank and pistons from whatever we found to fit. Turned out to have prob double the horses and quite a bit of torque. We had it in his shed at like midnight popping wheelies with it. Giggles all round, until his old man had a go, flipped it right back and cracked his skull on the cement floor. Out cold. We shat ourselves! Later sold the ride on lawnmower to some guy who raced them! It was too fast and couldn't take corners. Another one was at a mate's property out bush near Swan Reach. Had a massive shed with a caravan inside and an old car body (can't remember model now). It was raining outside and we were repairing some of the dirtbikes we stacked up during the day. We were cold, so we started a bon fire in this car body in the shed (it was a big shed I tell you). Well the car never really had all its fuel drained, so after a while we hear a loud "Whoosh" and a massive "pop" ... never ran for the garden hose as quick as we did in our lives Its a miracle we're still here after some of the shit we did.

That first pic is not his car Steve.

I'd be paying a visit to the knob who sold you the car. Even better, send him the bill for the chassis repairs. Thats seriously f**ked. The only way I was going to fit a fmic to my car was without any cutting at all ... right down to fabricating return pipes to mate with the stock piping under the bonnet. No cutting, no trimming, no butchering.

Delta Fin + Type M = Big Mouth Yo!
RubyRS4 replied to RubyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The plate looks good imo where it is now ... and its some 130mm from the mesh and 150mm from the cooler, so its not interrupting the flow. And in any case, its far more flow than the last cooler Chris, yeah another stagea cruise would be awesome. I've got the SAU SA meeting thing this weekend and Kadina after that. Perhaps an end June cruise, or anywhere in between -
Say cheese! Pulling it apart again this week/weekend to paint the piping and replace the silicone hoses with new items (and clamps).
-
Just drink enough so you don't remember the night before That way what you don't know won't hurt you.
-
I bought my delta fin fmic from Cooling Pro. Fitted it myself on the weekend. Bought the bends I wanted and welded it all up. No leaks and looks great!
-
For those who have been living under a rock and haven't heard yet, SAU SA is finally a reality. Open to all enthusiasts of skylines and stageas. PM me your email address for a copy of the Constitution, membership forms, and a nomination/voting form to elect a Committee for the club. Linky here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ot-t270115.html I prob won't get back to this thread, so please PM me for any discussion or further info request.

The Stagea has a new, bigger smile ... Before: After: Cooling Pro delta fin core yo! Took a whole afternoon to do it. Purchased the mandrel bends from Aussie Discount Mufflers and cut and welded it all up myself. Total of $69 in materials and a wee bit of my time. Needed a new cooler to match the new bar. End result = one happy stag owner Pulling it all apart this weekend to paint the piping. No leaks ... happy I can still weld.
-
Fitment was easy. Didn't even need to remove the front bar. Took all the measurements I needed, removed old fmic and piping, make up some sturdy brackets for mounting the new fmic, slide it into place, bolt up. Check position/center ... tighten mounting bolts. Then fabricate up the pipework ... that took a while Still using the old silicone hoses and clamps, looking for new ones this week. Good to know I can still weld No leaks, and neat welds. I pull the piping all off later this week/weekend to tidy up some of the splatter and paint it satin black. Fmic will stay polished this time Because I have the type M bar now, the old fmic looked 'sad' in that gapping mouth The delta fin fmic suits the bar well and I was able to mount it lower than the previous fmic, allowing more flow to the cooler.

Wrx Driver Kills Person Travelling In The Other Direction
RubyRS4 replied to D_Stirls's topic in South Australia
100% correct there mate. Rhys, wake up to yourself, seriously. No ones' contradicted themselves ... you're just twisting words again as always and being so narrow minded. Its not a crime to misjudge a law-breaker's speed. It is not a issue of 'without due care' to misjudge the speed of some twats drag racing. Minibats, so sorry to hear that you know/knew the people involved. Wishing your female friend all the strength and recovery ... I have personally been down that road and it will be hard on her. The death of a close friend pretty much destroyed a community of friends. And she was killed in very similar circumstances. We are all never the same after something like this. Its been some 8 years for me and I've never forgotten my close friend (and ex-girlfriend) Sonia. I still visit her grave every year without fail ... on the day of her death, and on her birthday. RIP Sonia Judith Warne http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200305/s865654.htm Her 'killer' got off with only 7 months! Hence, I have no faith in the justice system. He was doing speeds of in excess of 100kph at the point of impact. God, knows how fast he was going prior to the collision ... in the wet! HE was on bail for murder, and committed no less than 5 traffic offences between being released on bail and up until the death of Sonia. The police could have stopped him 5 f**king times! But didn't and as a result and very close friend has been taken from me. And he only got 7 months! The Court basically gave him a freebie before being thrown away for 17 years for murder. I saw the crash scene. I saw the life support being turned off. I saw a life slip away. And I sat in the Court during the trial ... watching the Bailiffs surrounding us as the judge entered the room to give sentence ... knowing it wasn't going to be good for us, but an easy term for 'him'. It was disgusting! So I feel the question is ... had these two WRX fools been serial hoons and drag racers? Could they have been stopped sooner? I support the hoon laws. Bring them in I say. The Court should throw the book at the lot of them. They took a life for their own personal amusement! Yes, I'm still an angry man because of this. Friends like this are rare. The loss of one is most unfair. -
Spotted my Stag with a new smile

Ah ha! It was nibbling at me where I'd seen you from? Yeah, the good old days when Adelaide had a drag strip! Ended up selling my drag bike to build a track bike ... got into some knee-down action for the last couple of years. Broke my shoulder in a smash February 2008 and haven't raced since (but did a few track days after, then sold the bike some months ago). I even had my yellow (at the time) Suzuki TLR out on the drag strip cutting some 11 second passes quite a few times. Wasn't bad for a 196kg v-twin lump Back in the day when the jap bikes were spanking the harleys
