Thats not too bad. Enough to scare ya tho. Remember when I was 18 or 19 and almost killed in a head-on with a taxi (taxi was in the wrong). I had to be cut from the car. My family got the biggest scare that night. Since then, had a near fatal bike crash too ... I really gotta be worrying the family sometimes

It beats getting the phone call that they're dead. Sorry to be so morbid, but I've had some of those. Glad to hear he's okay.

This might be a bit tight for me. I'm travelling to Victoria that Wednesday night to work and don't return until the Tuesday after. As I've got 2 or 3 others relying on me, I'll chat with them and see if I can attend ever so briefly. Don't know if its mentioned yet, but perhaps contact the Red Cross and see if they'll accept clothing etc taken to Mawson Lakes that night?

I'd like to be in the March show ... but I need to repair/replace my dying turbo first. I'll also buy a couple of Ford badges ... enter it as a black Ford RS4 and see how much I can confuse people.

I did have TAFE tonight, but I can't be arsed getting in there. Rather be drinking! Plus the Stag is in 'injury' mode with a turbo on its way out. So I'll cruise her home and we'll be out in the Liana. Throwing a few Qs together for the meet. We'll discuss tonight.

Yeah well I have a house extension to pay for, so I don't really want to spend $1800. My budget is more like $1200. If it had failed say 2 months ago, I'd have easily spent the money then. If someone buys my S1 Stagea this week, I'll then have the money for a proper rebuilt/new turbo.

$1800 to rebuild my current turbo with new core and turbine housing better matched/machined for my car. $2200 for a 3071 built for my car specifically. or $150 - $300 to go back to a stock turbo. or $1300 approx for a second hand 2530 setup. $1450 for new GT3071R from CRD.

Confirmed by Bill at ATS. Turbo is definitely rooted. Needs a rebuild. Taking the Stagea off the road for the turbo. While I'm at it, I'll get the front bumper painted and the brakes calipers swapped.

Dunno. But I did get it second hand despite having it checked out by a local shop. Stag gets oil change every 5,000kms. I baby it around all the time, just cruising. Running under 10psi boost. Garrett core and all, never suffered any abuse. Developing a slight rattle/dry noise. No oil leak or smoke. Just slightly noisy at the moment. I'll know more after I've seen ATS ... but at this stage they might be rebuilding it for me.

Didn't see ya sorry ... plus I'm usually in my own little world going to work. Paint job is coming, but I need to fix/replace my turbo first now
