  1. I love my Stagea, but I've always moved from car to car, depending on my needs and wants at the time. I have however, been eyeing this off ... I have two Stageas, so I'll have one for some time yet
  2. Hmm, very interested in buying this ... I love old school muscle cars. I've always wanted an SLR, but this is only a 253 (SLR lookalike). Its still very affordable. Of course, it would be my little project. Fix it up and do it up as I drive it as my daily. I haven't done a V8 project yet. Done everything else ... rotary, 4 na worked, 4 supercharged, 4 turboed, 6 turbo, 6 na worked. Had a V8 project when younger, but shed was broken into and car trashed before completion. I'd love to do this as my V8 project. If I do get it, I may be inclined to sell my black Stagea. The car is on gas too! Oh so tempting
  3. I bet Pete's loving this. More people spotting his car now than when he owned it. Plus you're all rubbing salt in his wound
  4. JMS intercooler?
  5. Some 10 years ago 4 theives broke into a house in St Agnes. Raided the living room and woke the home owner. Theives found some display swords and armed themselves. End result was 4 theives requiring paramedics. The house they broke into was my old instructors home. The display swords were blunt, and sensei was a "little" more experienced than those stupid idiots. He was humble and we had to press him for the story. Sensei detailed to us how and what went down ... these idiots had no training whatsoever, but thought their "street fighting" would better a professionally trained instructor in his own home. FAIL! My house is a bit like Fort Knox now. Alarmed, hidden cameras, and I'm int he middle of installing a surveillance system which allows me to log onto a PC anywhere and visually see what is going on around my house.
  6. A dating website?
  7. I'm too far up Glen Osmond Road to see. Sounds like a typical day at Victoria Sq
  8. The bottom nut is the lock nut for the base of the shock. Screw this out for more height or in to lower. The two top nuts are for static sag. Do not adjust your ride height by playing with your sag. The top knob does adjust the dampening for compression and rebound. Start with removing the coilovers, with your car on suitable stands. Set the two top nuts to seat the spring firmly in place, but not tightly to compress the spring. If the spring rate is correct for your car, you should only need to adjust it so the nuts firmly holds the spring in place. Adjusting this any more to increase ride height or reduce statis sag is just a bandaid fix. Make sure you have the right rate. Next, undo the bottom nut and screw in or out the base of the coilover to raise or lower the ride height. Ensure the other coilover(s) is(are) set to the same adjustment. Put coilover back in car, measure the ride height ... remove and adjust again as necessary. If you need 10mm more, screw the base 10mm more out. When you've got the correct ride height, take it to a wheel aligners and have the wheels aligned correctly. Lastly, set the dampening to the middle-most setting. Turn it all the way anti-clockwise, now turn it clockwise and count the turns (or clicks). When at the end and you can go no further (do not force it), count half of the amount of turns/clicks out. Leave it at this setting. I doubt you'll have any need to adjust in the future. Better still ... take it to a suspension place and get it done properly.
  9. You're right ... that hangs heaps low!
  10. Thats 5rwkw right there! Hope it gets found. But don't go holding your breath. Was it insured?
  11. Double brick walls in and out in my place. Together with the security/roller shutters I have, it keeps the place quite cool. The extension I'm adding on is not brick, but will comprise more than adequate insulation for its southerly orientation. BTW I hate water restrictions. I've had neighbours comment on "are you allowed to have that pool" when I've got all the approvals and permits that says so. I have water saving devices in my home and I have no lawn left to water. Yet I see Councils wasting water all the time.
  12. I hate them too. But you don't have the luxury of slowing down when you're on a bike Its amazing how many drivers think tailgating a motorcycle is funny

  15. Spotted Ben's 260, and Donna's RS4 stageas at Sferas last night ... I was driving the ... Liana
  16. They've replaced lawn with car bodies and rubbish. Less water requirements
  17. I hate keyboard warriors. They talk shit and antagonize you, accusing you of being all talk, yet will conveniently never meet you, and you know it. Then they go to 'stage 2' of keyboard warriors when they've got nothing substantial to add to a thread, so they start the name calling. Pussies.
  18. Well I haven't spotted your old GTR yet Pete
  19. Get it the R33! Then just put a stock exhaust manifold on.
