Croydon Racing Developments are doing them for $1450 new. Who was selling an Apexi turbo recently ... Rad32? The 3071 seems to be the one to go for.

HKS 2535 setup for RB25. What would that be like? Laggy than a hi flow or 3071?

Confirmed. Turbo core is rattly and on its way out. $1700 to rebuild. Do I go with rebuilding it or would a 3071 be better with less lag? For $1700, what do I do people?

Bugger! Think my turbo is on its way out. Making some minor "rattling" noises (sounds like dry bearings) under the engine bay. No harm to performance at all. Runs the same and perfectly fine. Its just some odd noise I can hear when I'm not blowing my brains out with Linkin Park. I'm pretty sure its the turbo. Getting it checked out on the way home tonight by some mob in Regency Park. Maybe a 3071 is due! Or I might just keep the stock turbo and rebuild it with new bearings so the cops are happy. Edit: I'll also add ... When I shut the engine off, I hear the faint noise for another 5 secs after. Perhaps bearings in turbo spooling down? The only thing I can think of that would still be 'rotating' or 'running' after the engine is off. I'd like to think its something else, but must be realistic. Any ideas at all what it would cost me? Ballpark figure?

I think the guy's telling some porkies on the engine internals and the output. I have my doubts. Someone whose supposedly spent big bucks on HKS internals etc but the presentation of the car is lacking. And I'd like to see it on the dyno ... the dyno won't lie. I hate, hate, hate criticising other peoples cars and try my best to avoid it, but in this case I am doubtful about the whole thing. Plus I do have to question his position within SMASA. I have seen better 180s. Thats my 'opinion' of the car without trying to be insulting. Thanks to all for the compliments on my Stagea(s). The short time I hung around, I noticed the Stageas attracted a fair bit of attention. "Why the hell is a wagon in with the Skylines?" Wish I had time to paint the front bar, but def next time. While I'm at it, I may just give it a full respray, as I've found some odd nicks and chips I'm not happy with. Big thanks to Damo (Tryandcatchme) for the detailing to both cars. It was good to see a successful SAU display ... kudos to Cara for organising.

Spotted black 32 ... plates CBFED2 pulled over my the cops in the city last night. Waiting at lights ... cops pull up behind him 30 secs later ... sees the Skyline badge and lights him up. Hope he got off okay. I was at a buck's night, so didn't wander down.

Everybody is out and about doing things already ... so don't expect a heap of responses. I've just come back from the car show ... waiting for friends to turn up for a bbq. Will be making an appearance again after lunch.

Yeah, the GKIHS is pretty much on par with a gold card into the Qantas Club. A bunch of wank-wank really, but its good to put those qualifications after your name when it counts. Yeah, known too many of those girls. Went out with a few "models" in my younger years, but God they irritated me when they spoke. Worked in nightclubs for 4 years and seen the stupidest behaviour too. Might think they're hot shit as a teen or early 20s, posting up pics of yourself all over myspace and facebook, boosting your own ego, but later in life reality hits. Thats when you realise your life was going nowhere.

Its a $9K colour copier with all the bells and whistles ... plus a big colour display/control panel which clearly wasn't on! I don't care how good someone looks ... if they don't have a brain its instant loss of points.
