Don't look my way then Pete ... I'm about to submit a claim for my bike crash last year (almost exactly a year ago). Broken shoulder, pain and suffering, rehab, poor Tracy caring for me etc. I'm setting an appointment with the specialist in the next few weeks to confirm there will be no future recurrence of any related injury. Whats a broken shoulder worth?

FOR SALE Custom built 140cc pitbike / mini motard This is no ebay or pitbike shop special ... like most of my projects, this bike was built using the best parts. Using DHZ strong lightweight but reinforced cradle frame DHZ alloy swing arm Quality Lifan 140cc motor with IRK kit and oil cooler kit - 12hp Upgraded 25mm carby with dual filter (easy clean) and jet kit for better running Fully adjustable suspension Fastace AS02 front forks with upgraded Fastace front brakes Fastace 66RC rear shock 15mm axles (not the shitty 12mm ones) 12" motard rims front and rear also comes with 14" front and 12" rear rims with dirt tyres Just recently been refitted with stronger footpeg assembly for those bigger jumps Been sitting for a while, so could use a new chain. Current chain is "okay". I've had lots of fun on this thing at either country bashes, or jumps at Sellicks Hill well over 40 foot high. Does not break like the ebay chinese bikes. The bike broke me before I broke it Pitbike shops charge around $1800 for 140cc pitbikes, with some junk parts. This bike is tough as using the best parts. Only selling due to only riding it once in the last year. Currently in motard trim for Pooraka track or The Pits at Port Elliot. Also has the dirt tyres for dirt fun. $1100. Its a bargain! PM me.

I heard word that you're not licensed to be riding an R6. If you do not have a license to ride the R6 then you should stick to learner approved motorcycles. Most bikers (as well as cops) do not take too kindly to unlicensed/restricted riders on bikes they're not permitted to. If this is not the case, then happy riding.

Picked up my type M front bumper on Thursday. Currently getting it fitted to my Stagea as we speak, holes are not pre-drilled. Friendly service at Viva Garage and they love to talk about the stags. Once its fitted correctly, I pull it off again for a light rub and spray. Just in time for the car show next weekend. Will post pics when done ... and if it ain't too hot.

Sweet! How's it going in this heat?

I think you interpreted that the wrong way, because I know what Pete meant. Few people understand meaning of true respect. People are different in nature when their on the internet. They have a false sense of security thinking there are no consequences to trouble caused on forums. Then when they finally meet the individual in person for the first time, they can be awkward not knowing how to react because of the previous trouble they caused. They feel vulnerable. That ... or they're due for a flogging Thats why I can't be arsed talking to certain members. Sometimes the message is not taken the right way (no face-to-face conversation), but other times the motives are quite clear and provoking. When the debate goes too far and the name calling begins I use the "ignore" button or just stop going back to that particular thread. Because I know they're keyboard warriors and nothing more. I know I will never meet them in person, because without their keyboard in front of them, they feel vulnerable. I know I'm no saint, having added fuel to some fires in the past ... but I have my reasons ... legitimate reasons. In most cases, I've shed blood, sweat and tears over it ... and lost some close friends ... so I think I'm entitled to my reasons. Most bullshit spoken on SAU has no reason behind it, but purely for the sake of home entertainment and ego boosting.

Hmm, I have a little wading pool I could bring ... but I doubt we'd get an SA Water permit to fill it. Funny you should mention the above ... I kept the pool kit (in boxes) in the back of the silver Stagea before building it

Given the heat wave and the fact I don't want heatstroke, I'm doing what I can to cool down. Given my house is a few minutes away, I'll be using my pool frequently. I will however be to and from throughout the day. Bring ya bathers, I'll see if Tracy doesn't mind visitors, and we'll take it in turns. No promises tho.

I was going to drop the Stag off, chat a bit, then f**k off home to my pool less than 5 minutes away

A mate of mine at 6'1" and 95kg loves his DRZ400SM. Its the most fun wheelie machine there is I'd thought about getting one myself ... but I already have too many bikes I'm glad L platers can't get RS250s. First time I took my RS out on the track I topped 190 thru turn 4 at Mallala screaming in 4th!!! Fair enough mine was in race trim, but f**k the little thing is quick. They are blindingly quick in corners. Most corners I can go thru at 10-20kph quicker at the apex, but I'm already accelerating thru the turn, so I have a higher acceleration out of the turn than on my old 600 race bike.

I'm working at Eastwood. We're on the same grid as the old ETSA building, so I doubt we'd lose power

We got our Staffy a little wadding pool yesterday so she could cool off. Not fair we swim int he pool and she doesn't have her own

Got my new type M front bumper from Viva Garage. Hope to have it sprayed this weekend, if its not too hot.
-
Got my new type M front bar today. I'd love to get around to fitting it tonight, but its too freakin hot. I'll leave it until the weekend. Might still take a pic tho
-

That was so foul, no one bought it for even $4K What is it with these fools who do up Magnas? I saw one the other day lowered to all hell, with dark, dark tint and loud exhaust. Don't these fools know they're not a car you bling!?! I owed 3 Magnas and I never did any of that shit ... waste of money!

You've already made it quite clear you want to gather info to oppose the hoon laws. So this thread has started off on the wrong foot. Constantly feeding narrow-minded views is not productive at all. But you're in the right place for your target market. I wish you luck in your endless fight for your right to hoon. Here's my input ... A very close female friend of mine (also an ex-girlfriend) whom I knew for more than 11 years was killed by a speeding car when the hoon driver t-boned her car, instantly making her brain dead! The driver has been previously caught in the months leading up to this for speeding, burnouts, and road rage behaviour. But yet he was still on the road hooning because the police were powerless. Now if these hoons laws were in place at the time, then my friend would never have died. I would like to see how each and everyone of you would handle seeing a very close friend killed by a hoon and seeing them on life support, then watching their life slip away as the life support system is turned off. RIP Sonia Warne I've had other friends killed by hooning, but this experience is the most powerful one that I will never forget. I support the hoon laws 100%. And I will support them when they get stricter. I think the hoon laws are too soft at the moment.

I wouldn't be riding a bike (or walking) along that road in the first place.

Damn! Spoke to my mate and the RS250 is being offered back to me at a very affordable price. And a well-kown RS mechanic did the engine rebuild The RS250 doesn't look like that now (in the pic above). Last I saw it, it sported a red/white paint scheme with no decals. If/when I get her back, I'll restore her to her former glory. It was putting out 60hp. If I get her back, I'll change the expansion chambers and remove the magneto to free up more power and throttle response (hopefully closer to 68hp from a 130kg bike!!!) I gotta sell shit quick! Someone buy my Stagea! A quick pic of the RS in action. This is a pic of when I first got the RS250. This is during testing on the track and setting it up for an upcoming race ...

I got married 10 years ago (12/12/1998) when the heat was 43! I've done track days when the day temp was 39. Now throw on full leathers, get on a hot bike, going round on a hot track ... great weight loss programme I love hot weather ... I just like giving the whingers shit

I have a buyer for a ZXR in my garage, but just need to fix a small fault in the clutch basket. When that sells I'll have the money to throw away on getting the Prilly. I have the money there, but I gotta travel to Phillip Island to work in a few weeks = $. So the ZXR sale will def secure it. I def want the RS250 back! Its good to see a bike you built for the track come back in almost the same condition. Me and a mate previously set that thing up to be a great sub-2 minute 250 around Phillip Island when I first got it 3 years ago. Which is not bad at all for a 250 with stock gearing and it was running with a dodgy rear cylinder at the time (the Aprilia RS250 is a two-stroke v twin 250cc bike for those who didn't know). Its now got a 520 race chain conversion with lower gearing and a few other mods. My pommy mate reckons a 1m50s around Phillip Island is in the bag. Asked my pommy mate of mine who use to race the RS250 back in the day, if he'd like to go halves for kicks and giggles!

HTFU guys I got an air conditioned office running 22 degrees all day with ice cold cans of coke when I need them. I sit behind my computer all day doing bookkeeping and CAD work. Hard work it is. Yeah, I know, sucks to be me!

Air con in the Stagea can't handle the temp. I think its low on (out of) gas anyway ... I'll get it regased tomorrow. Got 3 stops on the way home, then I'm hitting the pool ... and I'm not getting out until the sun goes down. Was in the pool until after 9pm last night.
