  1. What? No Stagea?
  2. I found a pic of where the hole was cut in an R34, so I'll take a punt from that. Off to Bunnings at lunchtime today I guess.
  3. I might have to get my own. BTW trying to find a pic or link of the position others have used for the fmic piping hole under the battery tray. I'm having no luck. Anyone got a pic or link?
  4. Anyone got a hole cutter or similar that I can borrow for intercooler piping to come out under my battery tray? Pleeeeease!

  6. Started stripping the engine down tonight from the RS250 race bike. It appears I've wasted the engine good and proper due to a failed oil pump. The 2 stroke v-twin uses an oil pump operated on throttle control ... somehow the pump failed and 9,000rpm down pit straight was enough to punch a hole in the block. Time to go pre-mix instead of relying on a known fail part. Guess I'm missing the first couple of rounds of racing this year, as I've already gone thru my first engine during practice! Anyone got an Aprilia RS250 or Suzuki RGV250 engine lying around?
  7. Damn, wish I was there to see those big numbers happen! 120awkw is about the ballpark for a stock auto Stagea. Mine made 184awkw about 4 weeks ago on 10psi, manual, fmic, and with a leak! Fixing the leak this week, and adding a few other items, for a reliable 200+awkw.
  8. Bugger ... made me wish I was there even more But Top Gear Live in Sydney was awesome anyway Congrats to the trophy winners I gotta get me a show t-shirt ... Damo/Shane, can you put one aside for me?
  9. That exhaust is certainly doing the rounds
  10. I will advise a week before the cruise date. Some members don't like the location being advertised on the board.
  11. Yep ... I've let my little lady drive my Stagea a handful of times, and the odd scuff on the car has been her
  12. Has anyone got pics of the fmic piping that runs to the throttle body? I've got a pipe kit for the stagea to replace the current return setup ... but I want to see roughly where I should drill/saw the hole for the piping. While I'm at it ... anyone in Adelaide got the drill/saw bit I need to do the job?
  13. Damn straight! My stag will be sporting a slightly newer look ... new intercooler piping too.
  14. Trusted them twice ... learnt my lesson twice. Sorry. I'll be giving Salisbury Towbars a go.
  15. Anyone want to see a naked Italian??? Decided to get off my ass on the weekend and repair the Aprilia race bike. Stripped her down ... ... engine is out and now time to find out what gears I fried inside. Racing season starts this month, and I'm not ready. Been shopping for another engine or gearbox, as I have a spare of everything else, but I'm looking at probably $1K minimum for another basic motor, or $600 for gearbox.
  16. Know how that feels mate. Blown up my race bike the practice day before race day ... in the first practice session Just throw money at it and move on!
  17. No worries mate. I'll match your payment and mark your full payment on the list.
  18. Answered my own question: Salisbury Towbars ... $305 for 1000kg-1200kg rated tow bar! ... and can fit me in next weekend That is all.
  19. Hmm, Towbars Plus want $750 ... 50% more than Allin and Southern. Might give Salisbury towbars a call now. Heard they can do for $380
  20. Hi guys, Interested in getting a tow bar fitted to the Stagea for carting around my race bike and go-kart to the track. Just rang Allin Towbars, but their man to do it will be on leave until 1 March 2010 They sounded very reluctant to touch an import also. When I confirmed it was an import it was all "Yeah, well umm ..." Wondering who else in Adelaide is a reputable shop to do this? I won't touch Southern Tow Bars, due to a bad history with them. Chad, if you're reading this, where did you get yours done?
  21. Congratulations on the purchase mate! Yes, Ben (GRIM) and Janene (Nene260RS) (and bubs) are really good mates of mine. Good to see the white 260 stayed local. Nene is also our Club Treasurer (I'm the Club Secretary), so it'd be good to get some more Stagea owners on the club members list (hint, hint) The official name for your new ride is Stagea "260RS". I'm sure Ben and Nene will be out in the Black 260 (RRS260) and I'll have mine there too (RRS250), so you can catch up with amples of Stagea fans on the day. To all, I will PM you all a map and meet point in the near future.
  22. Engrish! I was hoping too to get a spot now that its moved, but I'm in Sydney that weekend
  23. Thats old news Luke. Keep up mate.
  24. So that was you on the back of the tilt tray truck the whole time? Whats the plans for it now?
