  1. Any tips on accommodation in the area Jess? Never been to EC before. PM me if you have to.
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN!!!
  3. Gee you're really pushing this Jess Hope I get pitlane too given my experience (big hint to Jess) Can't wait ... going to make a road trip of it
  4. Welcome aboard Hide your credit card before you start modding.
  5. Dion, you going to Vilis this Friday night? I'll bring the clutch kit down if you are.
  6. You poor sod. Send it my way and I'll take it off ya hands
  7. Then hold on to your socks bud, and strap yourself in for the ride
  8. When it comes to radiators, the more coolant you can hold in the system the better. I have a 52mm alloy radiator and its been one of the best decisions I've made. A week of 40+ degree days didn't see the temp needle budge at all.
  9. To all, A big thanks to all those who took the time and effort to cast their vote for electing the 2010 SAU-SA Club Committee from the list of nominees. I am pleased to announce the persons elected/re-elected for 2010. President = Shane (RBWARE) Vice President = Pete (SLED) Secretary = Reuben (RubyRS4) Treasurer = Janene (Nene260RS) Communications & Marketing = Damo (Damo_R34) Events Coordinator = Steve (Madaz) General Committee = Andrew (Nightcrawler) General Committee = Martin (HOSTILE) We'd all like to welcome the newest members to the Committee: Andrew and Martin. Both have already been of valued assistance in their involvement to date, and we look forward to their continued support in their new roles. To all the unsuccessful candidates, we thank you highly for your nominations and enthusiasm to making the club better. We look forward to your continued support for 2010. Feel free to help out any way you can. Luke (Heslo) will continue to be Steve's assistant/right hand man, and we continue to thank them both for their ideas and drive in getting our first track day happening and their assistance in getting the club shirts organised. SAU-SA Club for 2010 is moving onto bigger things ... we have a simulator day coming up, as well as a track day, club shirts with our sponsors labelled on them to be available for sale soon, car show t-shirts are also coming ... ... its all happening now people. Spread the love!
  10. Ha! My ex-wife tried that trick ... didn't work Hence, she's my "ex" I got a good woman in Tracy. She's always as eager to get on the bike than I am. Only most times its work, or her son, or TAFE homework keeping her away. Oh well, I get to ride more I've had my own nasty spills along the way. Tracy, Ben (GRIM) and Nene (Nene260RS) were witnesses to one nasty crash where I smashed my shoulder. I've lost a few mates along the way myself ... but they did what they loved doing. As I will continue to do. RIP for your mate Craig.
  11. The votes are in, counted, and the nominees have all been informed of their results. I will start a fresh thread once I have received the acceptance by all winning parties, and notify everyone of the new and continuing Committee members. Thank you.
  12. +1 Just be polite and cross your fingers.
  13. Mine too. I work there every year as a race official. Done a few track days there too ... Lukey Heights scares the piss outta me everytime, but its adrenalin-rushing awesome! Racing isn't too expensive as a C-grader ... except for when you start breaking engines My GSXR race bike was awesomely fast, but it got boring ... 2 strokes are more challenging. Get it wrong and you have to work 3 times as hard (than on a 4 stroke) to get your spot back. Around Mallala I'm running 1m17s on the GSXR and 1m22s on the 250. Around PI I'm running 1m58s on the 250 (need to toy with gearing) and 1m47s on the GSXR. Heading over next month with my TLR to do the WSBK Afterburner's ride day. I wanna do EC one day this year! Didn't they recently close down Oran Park and start stripping it? ... now, umm, what was the topic of this thread again?
  14. For sale: stock RB motor BOV. Bought last night to eliminate possible problem with car. BOV not the problem, so now for sale. Sell for what I bought it for last night $30 PM me
  15. Slight change of plans ... I might be there for the 2 days working as a race official. I haven't done a local event for a long time If you see a race official jizzing his pants everytime the GTR goes past ... that'll be me
  16. +1 I've raced bikes (and looking at getting back into it this year) and when you've gone around Mallala turn 4 (the kink) at 220kph on an Aprilia RS250 race bike (quarter litre and 60hp), or blasting around Phillip Island on my GSXR or TLR ... racing in cars is kinda slow. Still love my Stagea tho, and can't help but spend money on it ... when I should be rebuilding my RS250 engine for this season
  17. Ride shotgun with someone I might also consider another cruise in mid April if this February/March one goes off
  18. Much want! Howie, if you're home tonight, I might walk up the road to eyeball this. Need to tidy up my console after the manual conversion.
  19. Spotted what looks like Viva Garage's old R34 fronted Stagea around the corner from my place. Hello neighbour I'll ambush the owner with an SAU-SA membership form
  20. PM sent Wayne. You can borrow it for a fortnight ... until I get back from Sydney mid February. If it is your problem, I'm sure I can sell it cheap. Its only sitting on my garage shelf.
  21. >.< Sorry Steve, had a lot going on. Get that payment to you this week!
  22. +1 Awesome stuff! I'll be sure to pop that in my diary. I'll bring that up for discussion at the next SAU-SA meeting.
  23. I have a spare one you could borrow/buy Wayne.
  24. Damn! That sucks. Emu: 1 - R34: 0
  25. Thanks for the cruise last night Mark. Good to meet you and have that quick chat. Forgot to tie ribbons to my car, but I cruised for my long lost friend Sonia Warne, and my recently deceased cousin Tracey Brady on New Years Day 2010. Both will be missed. My partner Tracy also attended the cruise with me. She was touched by your cruise, which brought back memories of her close friend who died by suicide many years ago. Thanks.
