You encourage him to tell his silly jokes and you'll be the one sooking when I get my hands on you!

Yeah but not many people have the qualifications and experience I have. I know I'm worth more, but if it means avoiding being unemployed and keeping the roof over the family, I would take 2/3. Then if another job I wanted came along, I'm not going to say no. In any case, thats not going to happen. I have alot of benefit to the company (or any company in the same field for that matter) and it'd be costly for them if I move on to another job. Not that I'm going anywhere. Job security is great, and now work pays for me to attend interstate courses and conferences. Plus qualifying for 1.3 weeks long service leave every year from now on (as a payout figure) would go nicely into my racing budget. I have my next performance review in 3 months, and I can't wait for that increased salary

Mate, I seriously couldn't think a nightmare worse than working on 2/3 of my current salary. I'd still have my house, but nothing to do. The missus would have to take more shifts to pay the bills. So eventually my lifestyle would shape to fit my income. Still scary Having said that tho, if I were to be unemployed tomorrow, 2/3 is still better than 0/3. Regardless if its seen as unprofessional to stick around for only 2-3 weeks until the next job comes up, when you've got a mortgage and missus and kid to feed, you do what it takes. No future employer will criticise you for that. I've been with this company for 10+ years now, and if they did sack me tomorrow, I've got enough long service leave, holiday leave entitlements and commission from my drafting to amount to almost half my yearly salary. So in truth, I'd probably do what you are doing, holding out for the big paying job until the money runs out. But if the money runs out, 2/3 is still better than 0/3.

Wow 37? I might look at positioning the Stagea on the northern side of the track somewhere and sitting in the back of it, hatch open, and drinking a few bevvies! Going to have the 11yo with us, so he's bound to sook if its too uncomfortable.

+1 A job is better than no job. You can always keep hunting for another job. See this one as a stepping stone.

I've had a few enquiries about the seats ... when if fact its one seat (not plural). And it is an "unknown" brand, and its on its own universal rails. Please see the pics below for a better idea. Oh and sorry about the cat hair ... even my cat found the seat comfy (will be cleaned prior to sale) EDIT: people can stop lowballing me too

+3 Me, Tracy and Cam.

Already found another engine (less pistons) in QLD for $300. I'll use the two engines to make one good one. I'd like to go around corners Ben ... and keep the bike light for fast cornering speeds

Average starting salary in the public sector for university graduates is $40K per year inc tax and super. Thats where I started off in the private sector. Thankfully my loyalty has paid off over the 10+ year being here, and I'm earning above the $67K mentioned ... but I certainly wouldn't call it an "average" salary or wage. With a big mortgage and race projects, my income doesn't go far. People will always adjust their lifestyle and spending to their income, no matter what it is.

Here is a wasted engine for the Wasteland ... Pulled the engine apart from the race bike today. It shows one cylinder gone off like a grenade. Clothes off, engine out ... What was left of the conrod punched a hole in the engine casing ... Crank is also rooted ... The barrel was destroyed ... And this is the piston !!!
-
You know what? ... I typed that, read if afterwards and wondered how long it would take you. I'm sure Cam would like something that can go around corners tho Pete Got a 100cc go kart coming for the little lad. Its a project for the two of us to rip it down and rebuild it so he can get into some kart racing ... and I'll get the odd ride in it.

Welcome, and thanks for waking a 2.5 year old thread

Welcome aboard the Stagea Ownership Club Mountains of useful info here, and loads of locals to help you with your enquiries/mods. Look forward to seeing you on the cruise. There is also a simulator night this Friday night if you want to show up and introduce yourself in advance ... maybe grab an SAU-SA membership form while you're at it Ruby

I'd be happy to make it out of the pits!

Nah, I was in scouts for years too when I was younger, then moved up to the Air Force Training Corps ... and thats where Cam will go if he wants. He's interested in aircraft and choppers etc. Just like the way he plays COD4, bombing people from a distance For a lad who drowns himself in his Xbox, DS Lite, and online games ... its refreshing to see him starting to take an interest in outdoor activities. He is enjoying scouts and we've enlisted him in alot of upcoming activities/camps. Tracy and I are getting him involved in go-karting too. I've just bought him a 100cc Yammy go-kart to get him started. Travelling to Melbourne next weekend to collect it. I can't get him off the Suzuki TLR. He likes being dropped off at school on the bike ... so he's really starting to come out of his shell. Thank God! Plus I took him this week to my dojo to watch some training, and he's taken an interest in that too. I have my own little 'grasshopper' to discipline now

Spotted last night (about 8pm) a matt black Stagea with R34 front end ... possibly ex-Viva Garage? Was in my Stagea next to him at the lights on Grand Junction when some bogan in a commonwhore wanted to drag. Both Stags took off lightly and commonwhore sped off into the distance with all occupants in both stageas laughing at him. Insecure much?
-
Something about the Stagea today that necessitated all the commonwhore drivers to wanna race thru peak hour traffic. Dropped the lad off at scouts tonight and some bogan had to express his disapproval at the advanced technology in "jap crap". Did someone put something in their drinking water?
-
Careful with the admission Pete. You have a daughter to protect.
-
Yeah and I spotted you "saluting" me as you drove past ya big hoon! Worked out it was you when I saw the big grin and the V for victory sign! Spotted no less than 6 commonwhores today, weaving in and out of traffic behind me, just to tailgate me. Musta been one of those insecure days for them I guess.

Damn, the track days are going out guns blazin! I too need to whinge about money. Got a track day at PI in less than 2 weeks (motorbike), the SAU-SA track day in April (car), plus I got a busted race bike I gotta purchase another engine for to race this season ... so my on-track budget is already hammered So unfortunately the cost of this course is the cost of another engine for my racing fix. However, I'd also like to say that if you can come up with the cash, this course would be great of any competent driver. Brush up on your driving skills lads. I'll come out for a look-see and fly the SAU-SA banner.
