Ministry of Bass also do alarm and immobiliser installs.

I can vouch for that. Love the high speed turn 4, then hairpin turn 5. Best opportunity for passing anyone there ... if you've got balls big enough! Unfortunately, the last time I took turn 5, I crashed into another racer who was going way too slow for that turn, and squared the turn off leaving me no where to go. I carried too much speed and committed to the undertake ... unsuccessfully!

That was me, making the mistake of trying to get to the WCH the "quick" way there

Tracy is on night shift and Cam is being dropped off at a scout camp for the weekend at 6pm. No babysitting for me! So I should get to Vilis about 6.30pm. How's that for a slice of fried gold!

And anyone left over can help me install my automatic sliding gate to the front of my house Thanks!
-
I get that all the time. People driving slow in either left or right hand lanes. I change lanes to pass them, then suddenly they don't want me passing them so they speed up. Then when I do get in front, they carry on like idiots and tailgate me.

Bump! So who's going? I'm planning my trip and it would be nice to gather some SA lads together for a beer or two.

Spent the day putting up my new fence, and fabricating a sliding gate (to be automated) at the front of the house. House extension is on hold at the moment whilst I've got re-submitted plans with Council, waiting on approval for some engineering changes (floor framing). Gotta keep moving on with the house, so the front yard is getting some security upgrades ... 600mm high brick fence is now 1800mm high thanks to timber slats. Gate is under construction. And I'm ripping up the front lawn for an extra driveway addition. Next weekend, I finish the gate, and render the front of the house. Busy much?

Can do. Thankfully nothing major ... just a bit too risky for the track. Got most of the damage sorted now anyway.

Sorry. I thought we had I thought they signed up on NS.com?

My niece is a shy girl, who had a tough upbringing. She was mauled by a dog at the age of 18 months, and witnessed her mum being abused by her father (her father is no longer in the picture, he was given the arse long ago). So she is very timid, and therefore easily subjected to peer pressure. She went along with friends to 'friends of friends' and got put in an environment she didn't know how to get out of. Thats what has happened in this case. She hasn't told us everything that has happened, because she fears violence ... and she knows we will not be happy with what she has to say. I'm going into it no further than that. She is home safe, and she will tell us when she is ready to. And on the topic of "dragging kids out of class" ... that was done thru the school principal.

Its all about learning your limits and your vehicles limits. The best thing I ever did was getting involved in trackdays on motorbikes and then racing. It did indeed help hone my skills, but also to improve your judgement. Learning to make quick decisions at 200kph and skilled enough to not upset the balance of the bike, really hones your skills and judgement at 60kph! I can certainly vouch that the skills I learnt on the track certainly saved my neck on our roads time and time again. You react quickly without thinking. Its the time wasted thinking, or the panic, that reduces your chances of avoiding a crash. Not sure if I've explained it correctly, but correct judgement becomes more "automatic". And it does calm you down on the road. Racing on the roads is just braindead.

+1 The police didn't find my niece. We did. We dragged kids out of classrooms and interrogated them. They were all "oh I don't know" but we made it clear to them we were serious. Even going over their heads and speaking to their parents about who their kids associated with, getting more names to go after. Suddenly they had some info for us. We were relentless in our search, and at the same time fearing the worst and trying to hold it together. If we'd left things up to the police, she'd probably still be missing. The guy is some 17yo punk as far as I've been told, and he is already well known to the police ... so therefore he does not fear them. Let him fear me! He's been warned by my sister ... "go near my daughter again and you'll be meeting my brothers". All I need is that phone call from my sister now. I won't bat an eyelid.

Trust me ... it was a good thing my sister entered that house and not me. I was certainly not happy about it at all. I'll do what it takes to protect her, simple. Like my sister said to her yesterday, wasn't far at all from the truth: "you're uncles would gladly go to jail, so you don't end up in a morgue or in jail yourself". And to any of you young fools who think its cool to lure girls (whether their 15yo or 21yo) to your "pad" through friends, or booze, or drugs, just remember there are family of these people out there who wouldn't think twice or bat an eyelid about making your life hell. The danger will easily be turned on you when you have people like me or Pete after your blood. Touch our girls and you're in a land of hurt you've never dreamed of. I don't tolerate guys who hit or prey upon innocent girls. Worked hospitality for 4 years on Hindley, and we've thrown guys down stairs before after catching them 'spiking' a girl's drink. Now imagine what I'd do to you if you went after my niece ... or Pete's little girl! I relate very well to the movie "Taken".

With all the news headlines today about abductions and rapes, we all worry about our kids, nieces and nephews. I got a phone call from my sister this week that my 15yo niece (my sister's eldest daughter) was listed as a Missing Person with SAPOL. Naturally, I left work straight away to help with searching for her. The last anyone had heard from her was when she'd left to go to Elizabeth Shopping Centre for some new clothes. Naturally, we all feared the worst. My niece is a timid, shy girl who scares easily and steers away from trouble. By Thursday night, my family were searching parks praying we didn't come across our worst nightmares. We found her yesterday afternoon. After going to her school, dragging her friends out of class, and interrogating them, we obtained more names and addresses of who to speak to. My sister found her at some feral housing trust place. Grabbed her daughter and went home. I met them there and once I knew she was safe I wasn't happy about what had happened. She'd been coached by some school friends to skip school and go to some "friends of friends" house. These friends were druggies and ferals. My niece was now put into an environment that scared her. We don't know the full story yet. She's clammed up and scared to talk. But we'll find out soon enough. The police had to sight her to close the file ... and gave us a bit of info on this family in this feral house. They're trouble, the police told my niece (and us), stay away from them. They already have a list of offences and are of interest to the police. The police advised us not to return to the house ... or we'll be the ones in trouble. Truth be told, being arrested is the least of my worries. So here I am today, at home, still a mess ... because I thought my niece was going to end up on the 6pm news and milk cartons for the next few months! I'm still furious ... hence my rant. Shits me off they can lure teenage girls to their drug filled feral "pad", yet we cannot protect our daughters/nieces. But I've already said it, they come near my niece again ... they'll regret it. My niece has also recieved the third degree lecture from us. Never put yourself into a situation you can't control, nor can you call for help. There I've had my rant. Sorry if its inappropriate Mods ... but I thought it good to wake people up and serve as a warning that no matter how innocent your children are, they can easily be put into a potentially dangerous environment thru peer pressure.

Get back to work!

Just think back to the Magill Road crash (Skyline and WRX) and also the Torrens Road crash (2 WRXs). These shocking images are still fresh in the minds of many people. My cousin was the first fatality for this year ... her death is still fresh in my mind. It all shows how things can go wrong very quickly, and lives are lost. The guy was a cock doing it in such a crowded area and giving import drivers a bad name. Simple. He might have thought its was harmless fun (as some of you do) but the reality is, it wasn't.

Sorry fellas! Damn wildlife banged up my car a bit on a recent interstate drive I'll still be there on the day to envy you guys.

When I (foolishly) had the Stagea up for sale, I drove the car each and everytime for the test drives. Sorry, but until you've handed the cash over, its still my car and my responsibility. I had a many guys on the phone sounding dodgy ... so I avoided them. I would never let a potential buyer take the car for a drive without me in it ... even with showing his licence/ID to me, and even if he left a deposit ... no way. With all the car jackings, joy riders, ram raiders, bank robberies, and auto bonfires going on, its automotive suicide!
