What are these factory parts in my car?
UNREAL replied to funkymonkey's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Yeah, I have the same problem. The whole sound system is crap!! Rip it out and replace everything with something decent like Alpine. -
Yeah, time for a new player. Looking at a nice Alpine MP3 player.

Skylines and spare parts - 2002
UNREAL replied to akira's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Have you tried Just Jap? Think their in Kirrawee. Got all my spares from there when I smacked up the front end. -
WTF- You can lose 2 points 4 loud exhausts
UNREAL replied to HUSTLR's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah, it's straight away so keep the silensers in. How can they possibly do this? They use their ears and discretion to judge if the exhaust is to loud. Every person has different ears!!! -
Personnally never had a problem, only compliments on the car from a female officer who pulled me over to pretty much tell me!!! Remember its the behaviour that really attracts the attention and gives us a bad name. When my girlfriend is in the car no cops look, but when its 5 guys in the car cops slow down and take a good look.

What would YOU pay for this? -96 Spec2
UNREAL replied to ix9's topic in General Automotive Discussion
28k sounds about right. Got mine through Power Play about 2 years ago. -
Go the Nismos!!! They're heaps good wheels and cost $$$$ brand new. I know cos I used to sell them.
-
They've been filming Matrix 2 & 3 in Pitt St and Hunter St (Sydney). Its a real pain, the streets is always locked off, especially late at night. Some cool American taxis and police cars parked on Castlereagh St. They were there all night a couple of weeks ago, just near Martin Place.

Power FC hand controller parts number
UNREAL replied to sidewaymambo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The part numbers are as follows: Power FC: 414-N012 Controller: 415-F001 -
I wouldn't try to repair it. If the heat the plastic it will distort even more and probably look worse. My guess is that it could have been damaged before purchased and then resprayed. Does the paint on the bumper look fresher than on the car?
-
Great stuff!!! I'm happy as well cause I just got my 12 points back
-
Is it going to be just a sand and spray or a full on strip everything, take out the glass, file finish the body then respray?
-
I've always used the fuel flap, so that I can still drive it until the painted part is ready. Vision Smash repairs in Artarmon and West Ryde Smash repairs do good colour matching.
-
Either way the car has may have been thrashed. If the car is still running fine and checks OK with mods its probably a bargain. However, I've seen cars that were "not modded" even though there were tell tale signs like mounting marks on the dash and extra holes in the engine bay.
-
Powerplay Imports are really good. Their friendly and don't charge an arm and a leg.
-
I wouldn't even bother with the codes. From my experience, I've found that you get a much better result with colour matching as overtime the paint fades.
-
Hey Hustlr, thanks for adding my web address to your posts. Much appreciated

How old are you? If your under 25, the only choice is Just Cars. However, if you over 25 you could try Shannons
-
Ok, do you know where to get MP3 players that read off an internal hard drive. I've seen them in a couple of mags but can't remember where. The reason I want one, is because cd's always jump.
-
Sorry, what I mean is, does the head unit play the music from a hard drive like a computer or is the mp3 payed from a mp3 burnt onto a cd?
-
Does this Voxson MP3 Player actually play MP3's? or is it only MP3 playback on a CD. I'm actually after a head unit that plays MP3 not MP3 playback
-
I had the exact same problem, only it happened in 3rd at 4000rpm and sometimes while idling after a hard run. Ended up being the fuel pump, which is a common problem in R33's
-
Normally what I do, is let all the oil drain out while its still hot. Then put in some cheap oil and idle for 5 minutes. Empty the cheap oil and put in Shell Helix Ultra. The oil is much more effective if the grit is cleaned out
-
I have always used Shell Helix Ultra (silver container). Change it every 4000kms. No point letting it go black.
