I Think You Can Understand Why Im Pissed Off
Cheddar replied to infiltrator's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That sucks It must be the week for Stag's getting hit. Yours is the 3rd one that I know of this week. Mine was reversed into when it was parked on the street by a p plater who then did a runner but luckily for me 3 guys going for a run saw the whole thing and chased her long enough to get her rego number. If they hadn't I would have come out to find my car all dented and had no idea how it happened. Hopefully your insurance people fix it quickly -
my car's not getting fixed til 22nd March so we'll be there but it won't look pretty...hmph
-
good-o Although it just got smashed into on the side of the road tonight so depending on when it gets fixed we may not make it. It's driveable but doesn't look anywhere near as pretty car damage pics

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
Cheddar replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
here's what my stag looks like now after a stupid P Plater chick reversed into it on The Esplanade at Christies Beach tonight and then did a runner. Lucky for me a group of guys going for a run saw it happen and chased her long enough to get her rego number. Plus everyone living in the houses near it came out when they heard the bang. However, when I went to the Police station to report it guess who was there...this same girl reporting the incident and apparently her reason for not stopping was because she panicked and a "Gang of Men" chased her. She told them that I had parked way over the line (which it wasnt) and that she wasn't going any more than 5kmph (which she must have been) and at worst it probably just left a scratch (she hadn't seen the damage cos she'd knicked off) Here's what a "5kmph scratch" looks like my phone takes crap photos at night but you can see it was a decent hit I'm glad that she owned up because even though I had her rego number it's saved everyone the hassle of having to track her down, but I got really annoyed when she tried to say it was my parking that made her hit me. She was issued a fine for fleeing the scene of an accident and the cops said to me that what she was saying didn't make sense and that no matter how she worded it, she was in the wrong. Many thanks to the guys who got her details for me. There are still some pretty decent people out there. But it's really ruined my night edit: I do not think all P Platers are stupid, just this particular one -
Mike - we've used a clay bar on my old sil a few times and as Stagman said it's pretty easy and doesn't take too long at all. Mind you, an s13 is considerably smaller than a Stag Meanwhile, I'm dying to know the route for this cruise I've got surf patrol at Christies Beach that day so I'm hoping it starts North and finishes South otherwise we'll have to nip off early.

yeah, it was a different look huh. It was ridiculously loud though. The rear rims had a fair amount of dish, the fronts not so much. He got white wall tyres put on for our wedding too. And Dohmar (can't be bothered quoting all your posts) we had 4 door skylines and none of us had any trouble getting in or out. I obviously had a fairly big dress on compared to the bridesmaids but I had plenty of room to spread the dress out on the back seat and no trouble with leg room what so ever. The girls in the 34 also had to sit around a car seat needed for the flower girl and had stacks of room. My husband is 6'5 and had no trouble sitting in the back seat on our way to the reception. I'm sorry but I can't work out where you're getting this idea that there's no leg room in the back of a 4 door skyline..... And both guys were more than happy to wear a black suit and open the doors/help us out. You don't have to hire a professional chauffeur to get that service. Kellie, if you can get some nice white 4 door skylines to go with your Jag's it will look awesome. It won't matter if they're not the same model car. Just seeing a whole line of white wedding cars with ribbons will look fantastic!

I'm sorry to hi-jack the thread but I also need a bit of help with a pod filter enclosure. We've got it cut out of sheet metal, but it needs to be bent into shape and we don't have bending equipment so we're not sure the best way to do it. I'm guessing we'd use a work bench and try to bend it over the edge? It doesn't need to be air tight but I don't want wonky sides or it won't fit properly. If anyone has some suggestions I'm all ears

congratulations We wanted Stagea's for our wedding last year (was our first anniversary yesterday ) but couldn't get them so we had silver r33 and r34 and they looked great. We got the 33 from a guy here, 4door_Sleeper. He was a really nice guy and used his car in a lot of weddings so I'd ask him. The 34 we got from a guy who lived around the corner. My mum knew we wanted "one of those cars with the big round circle tail lights" lol and when she saw him at the shops she followed him home to see if we could also use his. Luckily he said yes and didn't call the cops to have her arrested for stalking... I strongly recommend getting a 4 door over a 2 door car - unless the girls want to be all crumpled walking down the aisle our cars

spotted STAG 34 just then at the BP Subway on Beach Rd. We were going to say Hi on our way out but just as we got there you started ordering and we didn't want to interrupt. You parked next to my Series 2

it's on Sunday 7th March at 10:30am. He'll send us the details closer to the time.

I'm glad you're ok but I'm sorry about your car. Saw it driving around a bit when we lived in QLD. The new one looks nice though

Recommendations For Adelaide Inspections
Cheddar replied to Dunc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
+1 for the RAA. They do pre-purchase inspections and I know heaps of people who use them. -
was great to meet everyone It's a shame we're leaving in a week for SA but at least we got to go on one cruise with you all before we left Cheers, Jo & Josh ps - I hope someone has a picture of my car cos we didn't think to take any

we're still in. We'll meet up with the Maccas crew. The stag's just had a wash and will be tucked up in the garage tonight so he stays clean

What Have You Managed To Fit In Your Stag?
Cheddar replied to pixel8r's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
we havent tried to pack too much in it yet but my husband is 6'5" and he can lie in the back with the door shut - straight down one side, not diagonally from corner to corner I think all we had to do was flit the back rest of the front seat forward but didn't have to move the seat We're moving to SA soon and whatever doesn't fit in the truck we'll have to take back with us but atleast now we have an idea of just what you can fit in there -
same here. I'd be keen for one next time you do them. Cheers
-
Springwood Macca's locked in ! I'll bring the boy too
-
we'll be there
-
LOL That looks awful Thank goodness they improved over the years
-
We'd be up for it as long as it's before the 25th of Jan because we're moving to SA
-
YES !! That's what I meant when I said I wanted clear front indicators. I meant the ones in the front bar and yes, upon closer inspection I realised they are technically clear (I thought the end bits were orange plastic, not a giant orange bulb but mine are so dull it was hard to tell) but I meant crystal clear, like yours. Where did you get them from? I want them Cheers Jo

Cheddar replied to Cheddar's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
sorry, just sold them. But I'm probably still gonna have to get that slab since we're now taking back the air compressor we couldn't sell -
That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......
Cheddar replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
we pulled over the other night to help a guy who'd broken down and while he was waiting for us to get a bottle of water out the back he goes "Oh boy! Is this a Volvo?.. Nice!" He said it with so much enthusiasm and seemed genuinely disappointed when we told him it was a Stagea -
Series 2 Front Seats
Cheddar replied to Cheddar's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
the only problem with that is that we've already got a quote from the removalist that doesn't include these seats. Every time we add something extra he up's the price so we're really hoping to get rid of them before we go. But if we end up having to bring them with us I'll let you know
