  1. And as the other guy stated buy a system with a good failsafe feature on it- I would like to know how safe these systems are
  2. Things that can go wrong as noted by Kasko: *nozzle gets clogged>>can say same for fuel injectors hence detonation/engine gone *Stops spraying for short time>>can say same for fuel injectors hence knocking/detonation/engine gone *runs out of water>>some systems have failsafe devices like warning light/level indicator etc So really the issues above are the same as for other systems like fuel etc; in the car..or is it not?? E85 on the other hand costs a lot more- very few servos around/ poor fuel economy/starting etc etc
  3. I still dont get why not many people are using wmi as opposed to e85 - cheaper, can use only water and fill up wherever, similar power gains if Im correct...
  4. Watching with interest...intending to go WMI on my daily R34 - currently 286rwkw on 98 16-18psi -Precision 5558 0.63 EXG
  5. Please do not text me to waste my time and try to lowball me asking to drop the price and saying there are other cheaper stuff out there, by all means go and buy those if that floats your boat. These are what they are and I have had far too many interests from people without funds/with funds but not wanting to pay a fair price lol.. These are in newish condition, much less than 2 years old and no rebuilds or anything of the sort required, just plug n play. They will fit R32GTR as well, just the rear is shorter on R32, so those will need to be lowered more. Only the fronts will fit R33GTST cheers..
  6. Perfectly working and in excellent condition is a set of just removed CUSCO Coilovers for R34GTT, R34GTR and R33GTR. These are fully height adjustable and only slightly stiffer than a set of BC BRs (in a R34) in which I rode in recently. This really surprised me as these are top shelf Japanese stuff which are meant to be really stiff. Perfect for street or track. FREE 2X 235/40/18 tyres goes to the lucky buyer as well, these have 70% tread, the inner edges are worn though. One tyre is Bridgestone Potenza and the other is Kumho KU36. Also giving away 2X FREE slightly stiffer springs to go with the rear coilovers for track. Price $890 o.n.o. no lowballers. Pickup from Pitt Street Parramatta NSW anytime weekends or after 730pm Mon-Fri. Postage for coilovers extra subject to AUS Post charges. Tyres will NOT be posted and are pickup only. Ron - 0416424446. Text/call or PM me thanks.
  7. These Bilsteins are with SK at the moment to cut the grooves in, add bumpstops and test in a shock dyno to make sure all's ok (he said its ok to run without boots as the seals are good on Bilsteins and many aftermarket coilovers dont have boots too). Can't wait to put them on, he's busy with racecar stuff at the moment. Disco, what spring rates and shocks are you running?
  8. I just bought some used R34GTT Nismo Bilsteins (fitted to factory R34GTT Nismo editions I think) over the weekend for cheap and am getting Sydneykid to machine groves in them and possibly re-valve them if they are rooted. I had the wrecker compress the springs a good bit and I then tested the dampers by pushing down on them and seeing if they slowly come up, which they did. And zero oil leaks too, so hoping they all good. Now I think these are fitted with the stock Eibach springs? and would like to identify them. Does anyone know what they are from pics and how low will they go? My goal is to achieve front 350mm and rear 340mm height from wheel centreline to guard- this is the height recommended by him. Not any higher. The Nismo R34 GTTs I heard were 15mm lower than standard ones so they should be 365mm/355mm F / R. This is a 100% STREET CAR - 'some' comfort first and then handling/traction. The common thing is to get Kings 'Lows' and be done with it I know, but I already have springs which might be pretty similar. Should I get new springs or use these and slide down the groves which I will have machined? These current springs are F: 12mm wire dia, 6 active coils, 124mm outer dia R: 12mm wire dia, 4 active coils, 127mm outer dia
  9. Wanted to buy: R34 GTT Kings Springs 'Low' to suit Bilstein Shocks - used/good cond. Can pickup in Sydney area. Ron 0416424446
  10. I got the Precision 5558 0.63 a/r low mounted - currently 286rwkw @18-16psi
  11. Wanted: Stock R34GTT Front & Rear Strut/Shock Tops, Bump Stops and Boot. I'm located in Sydney - text me 0416424446 or send me a PM. cheers
  12. Hey Nizmoman thanks for the heads up, wherebouts are you in Sydney do you mind me checking your car out with the HSD AD, maybe in the weekend- I would really like to take a short ride in any Skyline/Silvia with either HSD/BC coilovers or Bilstein struts. I'm in Parra, can drive up to any kind fellow who will allow me to get a feel for his suspension setup haha.. Just need to compare against my current Cuscos and get what I need after trying..
  13. Thanks darksky, I just called Heasemans -$620 for a PAIR of Bilsteins for R34, then I have to get bumpstops, springs, shock top plates from a wrecker etc. Looking at 1600-1700ish already just to get more traction out of my setup. Not worth it imho, I am still rather keen on the Billies though. BC BRs at 1150 would be much better value but maybe stiffer even on softest setting. Wonder how 'rubbish' KYBs are compared to Bilsteins if Im forced to go down that way. The guy at Heaseman's told me my ride height is determined by the springs and not the shocks, I did think the shocks also play a small part in height reduction from stock :S
  14. Thanks mate, I meant the Bilsteins or any shocks dont come with the bump stops and top plate/washers that bolts to the chasis right? Maybe I could re-use my Cusco ones if they fit.. :S Is it ok to get used Bilsteins? Probably on this forum itself.
  15. I have been reading up quite some threads now and looks like Bilstein shocks with lowered King or Whiteline springs is great for the street. What I would like to know is what other parts I need to get like camber/caster tops, bump stops etc? This looks like a more expensive option than BC BR coilovers from Street To Track at $1150, but the BC BRs would be much stiffer right - even with 6/4kg front/rear springs and softest damper settings? Where is the cheapest to get Bilsteins, the tops and springs and which Bilsteins? Are KYB shocks even a consideration, its purely a street car, needs to be comfy, good handling- I need lots TRACTION aswl- and lower than stock..cheers
  16. Bilsteins not a good idea as you cannot adjust ride height, a good streetable coilover is what I am looking at, just wondering if its worth the extra coin- ie how much a difference from my current Cusco coilovers which are just rock hard
  17. Hey GeeTeeTee are you able to tell me roughly how many mm or cm you can push the car down with your hands/part body weight with the BC coilovers fitted? I can barely push down 1mm, maybe 2mm if lucky with the Cuscos (not half a cm as I thought). Im about 83kgs body weight btw.
  18. Thanks GeeTeeTee, I'm looking at this option, just tired of my hard ride man ... I would have thought the optimal street springs would be more like 6kgs / 4kgs though.
  19. G'day folks, just thought I would ask on here if its worthwhile selling my current Cusco (earlier model, no damper adjustment) coilovers and getting a set of BC BRs. The reason being my ride is too hard and bumpy for the street, even after swapping for 3kgs lighter springs. I would like something a bit comfortable, not bumpy and bouncing over everything and with a lot more give, absorption and hence more traction aswl. The current Cuscos -I can barely push the car downwards less than half a centimetre by hand. And my car is hardly what you would call too low - I can just stick my fingers in between the tyres and the guards. Who has experienced both the BCs and top quality but harsher Jap items like the Cuscos and what is the impression? Will the BCs with softest damper adjustment be a huge improvement? thanks Ron
  20. One Pair of Cusco Coilover Springs for R32, R33 and R34 - will go on any brand coilover. Suitable for track as these are a bit stiff, I think the spring rate would be around 8kgs. High quality material and finish, as expected of a Jap. item. Only $80 plus post/ post price dependent on Aus Post. Ron- 0416424446
  21. Thats mental power- is that 2.2 SR running e85?
