  1. I wouldn't ..splitfires cost $600 and if you're certain your coils are failing, get the real thing, not cheap chinese copies.
  2. I get this too on my R34 GTT but mostly before the engine has warmed up properly .. I don't think this is a coilpack issue, I think it has to do with the richness of the air/fuel mix .. most stockies run too rich (I know mine did) plus before the engine is warm I think it runs richer than when at operating temps hence my popping issues on downshifting.
  3. Up for sale still. Previous buyer bailed out it seems. Guys price is FIRM. $600 is still $100 under retail price and the covers are brand new and you don't have to wait up to 3 months for them, you can have them in 2 days.
  4. my understanding is 4.5-5l for the engine but not sure on diff and gearbox. Just check the dipstick afew times ..don't overfill, it's easier to top up a little as for spark plugs .. everyone seems to be using/recommending NGK coppers, BCPR7ES I think .. or 6ES. I was told to use 7s on last service but I'm gonna try 6s this time. On last service the 7s were gapped to .8mm (stock coils) and the car was misfiring badly on idle and low rpm, regapped to 1mm and it was OK. Not sure why mine misfired on .8mm gap when everyone seems to recommend .8mm gap but yeah that's what happened. My GTT makes 190rwkw or so on 11psi so I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks is the right heat range for spark plugs (GTT here too). I do mostly short trips so I'm worried the 7s might foul up and the cars performance with the 7s seems to be different every day.
  5. Received my package just now, Thanks Rianto!
  6. any idea if its ok for the unused 1l to sit for 6-12 months until next service? can unused oil lose its viscocity or any other properties aka "go bad" if it sits around for a long time ??
  7. wtf is the deal with motul 300 chrono coming in 2l and 4l bottles only? Why no 5l ? My understanding is skylines take 4.5-5l so I'd have to buy 1 x 4l and 1x2l which comes to about $170 ..what a joke. I'd be prepared to pay $120 for 5l but $170 is a bit ridiculous especially when 1l will be wasted edit: can i save that remaining 1l for next service in 7000-8000Kms? Then I could just buy another 4l and use together with the old 1l remains. Or will the oil 'go bad' in 8-12 months sitting around in a mostly empty container?
  8. SOLD pending payment ... and to the 2 douchebag lowballers above, get a life or atleast learn to read.
  9. my understanding is A1RMS is for track mainly ... ie. they're efficient at high temps. Since I don't do track, I've gone with HPX as they work better at lower temps too ie. street.
  10. as it happens I'll be at a different address from monday for about 10 days .. any chance I can have you give them the new address for delivery? It's also in Sydney.. so if they haven't sent it out yet, it'd be much better if I can get it at the new address.
  11. I got QFMs too .. but the HPX ones. Have you had a chance to speak to RDA before they closed today ??
  12. I work from home so I'm always here .. besides, even if I had just popped out for a minute (which is unlikely) wouldnt they leave a card ? If you could give them a ring and find out what's happening that'd be great.
  13. but if its $159 per camber arm, that's $640 for 4 + $400-500 in labour right ? by the way, how much should I expect to pay to get my wheel geometry measured? I just want to know what my current camber is to see if the whiteline bushes that I have actually do anything I had one of the whiteline bushes completely disintegrate on the front left wheel in less than 6 months ..but it was replaced since.
  14. I got the Bilsteins and caster and camber kits via SK's GB a while ago but I never had my camber after alignment given to me .. what's the best way to find out the current camber on front and back ? According to SK I should have -1deg camber at the front and -0.5 at the back. My 34 is lowered about 2cm and is using stock springs with Bilsteins. If I lower the car any further will it be impossible to have same camber without using an extra camber kit ?
  15. price is firm, if you can't afford it please don't make silly offers thanks.
  16. It's not here today which is extremely frustrating as I need them for a service which is way overdue. Others from the same GB received theirs 5 days ago, so why not me ? Please follow up with RDA today, I'm in Sydney not on Mars so don't understand how there can be such a delay if others received theirs.
  17. still waiting on mine .. any news Rianto ?
  18. hey guys decided to sell my GTT creme covers with black double stitching and nismo logos to pay some bills. They're sitll brand new and look aweseome. If anyone's interested please check http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...at-t263337.html
  19. After waiting more than 2 months to receive my covers, I finally have them but now need the money for car servicing .. too many bills to pay so can't afford to keep them. They're made by 'proseat' down in Melbourne and they're CREME in colour with black double stitching and nismo logos (stitched on not embossed). Includes front seats incl. head rests, rear seats and extra material for the door trims (front and back). I paid $665 (with a discount thanks to a GB) and had to wait more than 2 months for them. They're yours for $600 incl shipping but I'd preffer a local buyer (Sydney) as it's a bulky item to send. Please no lowball offers, price is set at $600. If you want to pay $700+ and wait 2 months, be my guest. These are brand new and haven't been fitted yet. To suit an R34 GT-T ONLY. PM me or if you're local and would like to inspect before purchasing give me a call on 0413337146 Please don't waste my time if you just want to 'inspect' and not buy as I'm very busy. Any general questions, ask here please. Denis
  20. I was first !! I think ... went black, silver and then tungsten. Def a nice colour and not too blingy, goes with any interior.
  21. I don't think it's his driving .. I have a GTT and the exact same fuel economy. My tuner suspects it's either the AFM or there's an intake leak giving the sensor incorrect readings. Check your AFM and also have someone check for intake/vaccum leaks .. I do have a small vaccum leak somewhere 'after the butterfly' (whatever that is) because my EBC display doesn't show -99 vaccum on dile like it used to. But I've been told it'd be a costly excercise trying to track it down so I'm stuck with it as it is.
  22. Ah cool I'll give ya a ring tommorow, thanks mate
  23. hey Scott, this may sound stupid but .. have you been doing car interiors before? For how long? It's just that I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to the car and eveything needs to be perfect so if I were to pay a trimmer I expect a perfect finish which is why I don't wanna do a DIY as I know there's no way I'm gonna make it look like a factory trim
  24. Thanks Terry I'll give him a ring. I just dropped by another trimmer with a pretty good rep and was quoted $660 for installation of covers (front, back and door inserts front and back also) + $350 to glue a black carpet on top of the factory moulded carpet. Pretty expensive .. but there IS a lot of work to be done if it's to be done properly. Not sure I can justify 1 grand though so I might just have to sell the covers if other trimmers quote similar prices. Of course another option is to do it myself, but I think if it's gonna take professional trimmers 2 full days to do it it might take me a month and still not look as good..
