  1. Theres a little screw near the throttle cable bit in the engine bay...never actually adjusted it myself though, got a few mechanic mates. Having mech mates is great cos you get parts at cost and free labour, but the downside is you gotta wait ages until they got time to fit you in.
  2. shut up merli, you anti cruise slu7! Too cool to cruise with us plebs! Porgs: yep, shouldn't be a problem....ring us around 6pm.
  3. I don't know Jon....i "might" bring it. lolol no probs buddy, wat about GTR special 2?
  4. lolol...it shouldn't stink buddy! Are you sure you plugged it properly? some bovs will stall the car, especially if your idle is low.
  5. Confak: its simple, rev the hell outa it when you launch and hold it in gear all the time....this way your never below 4000.
  6. lol...the rods were out ages ago.....so was the sub box!
  7. Damn north shore boy! The city is more central to everyone, and we can cruise to kingsford maccas or Harry's! I don't know, we'll guage everyones responses and go from there. Brody: hard luck buddy, Roper rd? Thats where matty lives!
  8. You comin out mr exa? havn't seen you since that nasho run ages ago!
  9. Ryan, you got a ride yet?? Sumone give the poor bastard a ride? If you can get to a train station near my place or on the way there i can pick you up. Found out if Matts goin yet? The MINES Gtst is made, with lots of veilside stickers to cap it off.....after i cover the rear window in stickers i will be all riced out...sticker wise that is.
  10. The more the merrier guys! Would love to see some new faces and cars coming along.....i'm sooo sick of seein Nick and his ****box!
  11. Will try the wax/beading treatment, if all else fails then new wiper arms sound like the go. This just means more of the car i gotta wax now!
  12. Turbosmarts head office reaction too!
  13. 7 seconds!!!! I knew my damn Falken Ziex tyres were holding me back! I currently get 2:05-6 around the creek.....mmmmm sub 2minute time......yum!
  14. I very much agree, howeva a big ass intercooler looks SIK! You know how much i'm into looks Megs! The restrictiveness of the IC can also relate to its cooling abilities though right? I mean a very unrestrictive cooler may not cool very well cos the air goes through too quickly??
  15. Thats why the VL goes "woop woop woop" all the time. Sounds pretty cool actually.
  16. a piece of broom stick or a film cannister works well, i had a film cannister in there for a few a week....pretty dangerous though, could have melt. Hey Eric, guess where i put the plug for my type 3 BOV??? INSIDE THE BOV! When it came with the adaptor it was inside the adapter hole, so i thought thats where it went. I went to turbo smart head office and complained my BOV was soundin funny. When they saw the plug fluttering up and down in the bov they brought all the staff outa the office to see wat i did.
  17. I really don't think it would have done too much.....the proper diagnostic tool is needed and after the reset there are certain driving processes it needs to help the computer 'learn'.
  18. NEver been before but there should be a lot of us goin, don't think theres anything organised yet.
  19. You know us cruise slu7s nick, we always up for it! How bout we just make this a weekly meet? Under the bridge, city side 9-10pm or sumthin? There are a lot of cars but theres always parking around the corner. Hows this time and place for everyone else?
  20. All turbo cars have a BOV as standard for one reason......If they didn't there would be a loud noise being made from the back flow of air (the process maveric just mentioned). The standard plumb back system reduces this noise. Having a plumb back system will, in most cases, cause no noticable turbo lag or turbo damage. The turbo in most cases will slow by itself off throttle especially if it isn't ball bearing. I have yet to see someone prove a venting bov brings boost on earlier and reduces turbo lag. As for having an aftermarket bov positioned after the standard OEM bov, you will find that most people will have sealed up the factory bov. I strongly recomend a book called 21st Century Performance by Julian Edgar (i think). He seems to know wat hes on about and has all the evidence in testing to back it up. Also it really relates to our type of cars, even has GTR's in it.
  21. hehehe you have a very strict boss!! My boss is currently working on her thesis for uni so i have to get out of the house so she can study! How is the little one by the way?
  22. Yep, i was lookin for a fog light switch for months. Got my mechanic to have a look at it, its just part of the indicators. I was very pleased when i got GTR indicators in my veilside front bar!
  23. hehehe, you know who to ask for advice!
  24. Are you sure its the chemical in the newspaper?? i thought any fine paper will do.....like the little packs you can get for cleaning eye glasses. Will try some petrol, but i think the trouble might be deeper than the blades. Any one used the windscreen products you apply to the glass, meant to make water bead off really well.
  25. Now now Red, the team evade boys are alright......just misunderstood:p . Just post a date Majanal, and they will come. (If you build it, they will come) lol
