[Qld] V-Series Owners Meet-And-Greet No.1
AHR31 replied to VNS 24's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks to Victor for organising the meet & greet. Always nice to see a number of V's cruising together. Hope to see more joining the other QLD SAU cruises and events. Here is a handful of the pics we took, look forward to catching up with you all again very soon. -
[Qld] V-Series Owners Meet-And-Greet No.1
AHR31 replied to VNS 24's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Watched the news tonight and they are forecasting showers tomorrow morning increasing to rain in the afternoon with between 25-50mm falling over Sat/Sun. The big man upstairs is not helping our cause! My guess is to wait until Sunday morning to make a final judgment on whether to postpone yet again. -

A nice shower for my lawn this morning and the BoM site is forecasting more frequent showers again this afternoon. Real shame but I guess next weekend is a better option. Count me in. -
Good point, hopefully see some kits on Sunday - see you then!

Holes were taped off so I am hopeful that this will keep them as rust free as possible. Time will tell I guess. As I said, I am not keen on the GTR kit either so a bit of gentle persuasion will be needed to find a kit thats more suited to the V series. There is plenty of images on G35driver, Google images etc that I am confident will make her see it my way!

Thanks for the positive reply's guys. As money permits, the wife would like to fit a full kit and has showed a real interest in the R35 GTR kits getting around. I'm in two minds on this but hey, its not my car and if thats what she wants, thats what she will get - happy wife = happy life!!!

Yesterday I installed a carbon boot lip spoiler purchased from Kukumei Motorsports on eBay. http://www.ebay.com....af#ht_500wt_922 For less that $200 AUD delivered (within 7 days!) I was extremely happy with the quality of the product, fitment was simple (quality 3M tape supplied) and most importantly it covers the plugged holes we had in the boot since removing the previous owners cheap-ass wing. A couple of pics attached...

Cheapest I have found is Import Monster using their Japan Auctions link. Its in English (for the most part) and by searching under V35 Nismo you will find Nismo floor mat sets $100+ cheaper than Japan Parts.

The V Series Spotted Thread

Spotted white V35 coupe (867RGV) parked on Elizabeth St Brisbane around lunch time yesterday - carbon GTR front, carbon wrapped roof, and a "blinged out " J loves R badge on the boot??? -
Count me in on a meet & greet. Keep us posted on details & look forward to seeing you there.

Cool, you will only be about 10mins from each other once you get over to Waterford - we are at Mt Warren Park! Amanda does like to come along to cruise events from time to time but she works every second weekend so when she is off work she just likes to chill out, after all the car stuff is more my scene not hers. As I am currently looking for employment in the mining game I am taking each day as it comes. The majority of roles I am applying for are for rostered roles (e.g. FIFO working 10 on, 4 off or up to 28 on, 7 off) so it remains to be seen just how much time I will actually have here at home. Regardless, we will definitely have to catch up when you settle in.

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Whereabouts are you going to be residing? We are about half way between Brisbane & the Gold Coast. Always keen for a meet/cruise if the wife will let me take out her 2003 V35.

Love a hater! Buy a "real skyline".. just cause its not an R series doesn't mean it aint a Skyline!

Drove alongside a silver V35 heading south on M1 heading towards Gold Coast, plate 747 RQL (???) around 10.30pm Saturday. Gave the wave to what appeared to be two young lovlies! -
A geat day indeed, excellent weather & some really nice cars which was good to see (need more 31's & V's next time!). Apologies about lunch; my son & I ordered from the downstairs bar when we first arrived, then went to the ATM & bathroom then back out to the bar to find everyone had disappeared? After we walked around we discovered everyone had moved upstairs so we just sat on the downstairs balcony in the sun - didnt mean to be snobs! The drive back was good, a little traffic but flowing really well. Thanks to Chris & the organising commitee - a job well done!

Any other V's coming along on the Northern Sunny Coast Hinterland Cruise this Sunday? Living at Mt Warren Park it will be an early start to make it to the meet Caboolture meeting point as I am picking up my son from Stafford Heights on the way.

Hey Dan, I had the coupe in for dyno tuning only to discover we had a big crack on the exhaust manifold as well as a blown wastegate gasket. Got the cracks welded up & a set of new gaskets so just need to put it all back together before getting it back over to EFI. My son & I are heading down to Sydney to watch the World Time Attack Challenge in August so for the moment I am just chasing a reliable tune. I have however been speaking to Rick about opening it up (internals have never been touched) & building up a strong HP RB20 in the next 12months. Having just resigned from my job this wont be happening in the immediate future but I really want to retain the heritage of the 31, & with so many people doing 25's, 26's 25/30's etc I just dont wont to "follow the pack". Rick showed me one of his customers R32 running a 2.2 stroker that is doing 600HP+ & revving to 10 grand (!!!) thanks to some meticulous internal balancing & trick ECU work, so with all my existing hardware (turbo, ecu, injectors etc) we are already well on the way to buidling a very streetable 400HP+ ride. With a new career that could potenially see me working away from home for weeks, maybe even a month or more at a time, I can not justify going really nuts on it when it would only be driven for a few days every month. I do miss driving it (its been about 6wks) however I do get to drive the wife's V during the weekends so at least I can still drive a Skyline! Look forward to seeing you on the cruise.

Will be there in the V35 as the HR31 coupes is still undergoing open heart surgery.

Phone Cord In Centre Console
AHR31 replied to 350gt premium's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I have a similar cord in my 2003 V35 coupe console. When I had Chris Rogers install my iPod connection he confirmed it was for a specific Nokia phone that was installed as a dealer option in Japan. Mine also has a number of buttons on small panel (approx 6-7cm long by 1.5cm wide) on the A pillar for handsfree use of the phone. -
Hey John, we are down in Mt Warren Park. There is quite a few of us down this way (as Chris Rogers said recently, we are like mushrooms & pop up everywhere!) as I see them up & down the M1 on my daily commute to the city. Quite a few get around the Springwood area & that northern end of the coast. I for one enjoy the cruises & would be keen to meet up with fellow V owners. Cheers, Andrew

Just thought id put this here..... Turbo Kit arrived today :-) Looks like Santa came early, or is that the Easter Bunny? My guess is you are about to come off the P's then?
-
Funny you should mentioned it.... I'm hoping to have a closer look at a carbon M3 bootlip in the weekend. I think i may have to seek professional help...

The V Series Spotted Thread

Most likely the wifes coupe, personalised plates running Rays wheels & shaved badges? I recall her saying she saw another V as she was heading home from work.
