R32 handbrake interchangable you only need to change the two extention legs over as the R32 ones are short by a bees dick, but enough of a headache not to go on. See pics top is Cefiro bottom ....R32

From memory thier are two types of plugs square and round is this just the difference in age of engine??

Hi all Down at a private pratice day, my RB20det Ceffy started to break down from 4k rpm right through the rev range I have changed over AFM and ignitor pack with no change. It will free rev most of the time but under load will break down in and out. What else could it be?? Cheers Billy.

With mine it was one of two things- a faulty ignitor, instead of trying for second hand ones I rang mircotech see comments below. Ok so rang John at Mircotech 02 49661234 and they do NEW 4 and 6 channel ignitor packs with loom to replace the old ones. So you can replace yours on your RB20 SR20 So all you need to do it cut and re wire this into your harness and you have a new ignitor pack no second guessing anymore. Second thing it might be is a loose wire on the ECU where the wires actually go into the plug that you put into the ECU. Have a good look at the wire going in to see if their is no damage to any of the wires. These are the things I did to get my issue fixed which sounds like from your discription what I had.

Is is happening at a certin RPM like around the 3k mark?? and as you try to boost it cuts out or is it on off through out the rev range??

I used a S13 fuel pump bracket but with the 040 I had to chop the bottom plate off so the pump would fit in as the 040 have a built in filter on the bottom.

I dought (IMO) that they will realise you have change from 2 pot to 4 pot brakes. Even going 4 stud to 5 stud (correct me if I'm wrong here) Well they wouldn't here as they didn't notice my brake upgrade.

Yea its just funny how they make some parts the same and like these make them all completely different. Like the rear cradles S13, R32 A31 all the same (hicas and non hicas of course)

For a car that got so many interchange able parts its a wonder why they would make one part different to all other models?? Japs we'll never really understand some of their logic.

Yea he's a good mate of mine. Very clean car when I saw it. Ah go manual Also look at the VG30 turbo it has steel wheels I got 204RWKW on 16psi with AVC-R and there pretty cheap and pretty much direct replacement. Some model RB20 have a different banjo bolt but thats easy fixed some time they can sut bolt on. I have a few supporting mods to get that figure Nistune computer,040 fuel pump, FMIC, 550cc injectors, VG30 tubo, JJR coil packs All the Dyno work was done my Keelan at Peckys.

Oohhhh !!! Yea this place is pretty much my bible when it come to my ceffy especially as ceffy sightings are pretty rare being only 2.5 of them in Darwin now. Danshirts; what did you have the weld?? So I suppose next question who's got some??
