  1. What a terrible tale of woe. Best of luck getting your car back...
  2. As a recent buyer i found my Skyline on the forum.
  3. I am interested in throwing a feew dollars at a membership.. Seems like its a good cause.
  4. Fair enough i was unaware that the VVT was the same on all RB25DET until much later models. Thus my question has been answered and i will shut up...
  5. At the risk of sounding like a complete tool (may well be true!) would the linear curve not have anything to do with variable valve timing? This is more of a question than a statement!
  6. DUDE: That's one SWEET looking kit. Kudos
  7. hope that can help u out a bit, but a question for u? have u had the speed cut removed if so witch wire do i chop, Also tryin to find out if my car has a "speed signal wire" so i can hook up a Greddy full auto timer, finding it hard to get hold of a wiring diagram. My car is a 1990 R32 GTS-T type M Sorry Mate i got no idea..
  8. It seems that my new toy has decided to play games with me! So let me start at the beginning, I own a ’96 Skyline GTS-T Series II. The only mods it has are a dump pipe through to ahigh flow cat and an aftermarket exhaust, pod filter and SAFC (the first version) the turbo has not been boosted. The story starts in Servantes (250k’s north of Perth) when I tried to start the car it would turn over, start and stall straight away. Eventually with the accelerator half way to the floor I managed to keep the car running and went for a short drive. The problem did not seem to re-appear from the next 24 hours… The next time the car misbehaved I was driving back to Perth and the car started to stutter and miss (quite worrying 200k’s from the nearest mechanic who would have any idea what a Skyline actually is!!!!!) The problem was quite random in that the car was stuttering whilst coasting down hills and whilst overtaking road trains, so it happened both under load and at pretty much idle. Since I have returned to Perth it has been to 3 mechanics, none of whom had anything that they could pinpoint for me. The problem is getting worse! One of the dodgy mechanics even had the nerve to charge me $50 and tell me that it was loose wiring that they had sorted for me. It only took me 300m from their premises to find out that I had been ripped off! The other mechanic (Steve at SST) was great he looked it over chucked it on the dyno found out the car was severely hampered by detonation issues. He suggested that I have the injectors tested as the car was running very lean. So far I have done the following: · Cleaned the AFM · Had the injectors tested (they are fine) · The spark plugs are 3000k old and gapped as recommended by Steve · Reset the ECU · Knock sensors exchanged with known to be working ones Before I take it back to SST I was wondering if some of the good folk on the forum could suggest some things I could try to reduce the scope of problems that it could be. I am hoping to get my hands on a series II AFM that is know to be working as well as trying some coil packs. If anyone has any other suggestions for me I would be most grateful. Oh and I have done numerous searches and found lots of similar problems and solutions but none seem to be quite the same as mine. Please HELP????
  9. As far as i know it is pretty strandard for alarms to go off with low batteries. It is supposed to be some sort of fail safe--In reality it is more of a pain in the preverbial!
  10. Welcome to the mad house Gods_Gift! No that i really know anyone myself, but there is some awesome amount of info on cars held by these good folk (me excepted)
  11. Holy crap. OK, the guy was a bit of a novice and overmodded his car. BUt you have got to be a sick twisted ***hole to dob someone in to the dealer over this one. I mean like he said he did get it done by a mechanic and they coulda/shoulda told him or warned him. Makes you appreciate good tuners!
  12. Mate, that was almost as sick as my pro-logig system eh!
  13. hmmm, Toyota Corolla 4wd 1976 Ford Escort Nissan Patrol Now P plates thats where life gets interesting!
  14. Surely the S2000
  15. Sorry can't help you on a precise tire pressure but gotta take into aco**** things like air temp, surface temp etc etc.
  16. Of course you are going to do the little things like deflate your tires a little for better traction? Good luck!
  17. Maybe the only way to end this argument as to which is better is to assume the "horses for courses" policy. Each of the cars have big strengths and some weaknesses. Budget, performance and people talking them up too much all fall into these catergories. At the end of the day most people on this forum chose Skylines so that says more than anything we can type... Plus i like that 30k that i saved sitting in my pocket rather than Holden's
  18. RiaZ, Had you sold me a 95 under the guise of a 96 there would have been reprecussions. Like i would have had to hass le the person who sold me my insurance to change my insurance details. HAHA
  19. Man i have mine and i am still paranoid... As for eager, you must be like a little kid at Christmas... But i shall stop chatting before i get in trouble. If you need nay other info just ask! Later Mate
  20. Glad i could be of a little tiny bit of assistance. It has gotta suck buying yourself a sweet ride and having to wait for it to come from Japan. I would be way to paranoid.... Good luck with it all
  21. Jason PM sent
  22. Yo Jason, This is Tim I just bought RiaZ's SeriesII. I shall look at the chassis/ Serial no. for you and let you know.
  23. All i said was that it was fast and mean! I never said that it was faster the your R33 GTS-T seriesII. Simply put your S-14 looks wicked and goes pretty suuweeeet too, take a compliment!
  24. Just for the record guys this car goes, and it looks even meaner in the flesh, so to speak!
  25. Sorry Mate you got me with that one... But i am sure if you give it a few moments one of the more knowledgeable folk here, will give you so much helpful info your head will explode. Good Luck
