  1. Hey guys this a post of some urgency and look has a few of us worried and rightly so. Track battle is coming and the number of local entries is dramatically low, we only have 11 drivers to represent what has been advertised as a huge following of drift in w.a, which I also believe to be true. Shit I kno it, and many of u also know we have a fairly decent following and its only going to get bigger, but when all the media come over and find that we are struggling to make the numbers, this will not encourage such events to come back, and going back to those years in d.a, we will lose rounds to such places as Tasmania(and I kno how freakin pissed I was) Seriously, what are peoples reasons for either a ) leaving it last minute b ) not interested or c ) other, Dont say entry fee, cos how long has it been since our last event, Collie? We havent had a round 1 and we have almost NO drift until feb next year which is a cda. Is it not worth the $380 to drive alongside first rate Australian drivers and just have generally freakin good time? I have LITERALLY poured every cent I have to make this round and seriously been a bum not going out socially etc so I can be ready. Why you may ask? Because I dont want to have a car iv spent $20+k on sitting in my driveway collecting dust. And I intend on drifting in the many years to come. With the new track setup the cost of tyres/fuel/etc is dramatically reduced aswell. Absolute kudos goes to out Keith for all that he has done past, present and Im sure future also. He is going above and beyond to inject life into what was a diminishing sport. I mean cmon, he buys a transporter and sends our drivers to S.A, sends them over to WTAC, also sends them over to ADGP and G1, this incurs a MASSIVE cost to which he derives no profit from, just pure pleasure and self satisfaction he gets to and provide the avenue for others to do what we love most, DRIFT! He even has had a massive hand in the ADGP. He has been raving about how big drift is in W.A, and for everyone to get here and get a half assed reception, man I can understand how much disappointment he may feel if it comes to that. Hey now some of you may look at this and say meh, some may also agree with what I have to say, but plain and simply all i want from this is as many entries as we can for this event. Id love for this event to be a massive success so we can host plenty more in the future. So cmon guys get motivated, call up all the favours your owed, get ur shitters ready and send those entries in. For me, I know Ive tried on this forum and il send txts out to all the drivers I know too. If it works, was worth the time iv spent writing this out, if it doesnt, il still have a blast at the event but have piece of mind I know I tried to help with this venture. See all you guys around the traps. Regards, Harry Buck aka Muddy. P.S Those of you who are worried bout cost and using 235/45/r17s, I can get Duruns for $68ea, hit me up if you need some.

  9. if ur referring to the fuel smell at idle every car runs rich on idle to ensure a smoother idle, its the newer sort of cars that run 2+ 02 sensors one b4 the cat and one after, to this is to monitor the efficiency of the cat converters operation. of if u have a v6 then u may have 2+ sensors etc etc etc

  12. how long's a piece of string? all depends on how well ur car is prepared, best case scenario ur car is functioning perfectly and a tune can only take an hour or 2, but if there are any issues ul have to factor in diagnosis time, parts, time taken to rectify problem etc. my car took half hour on the dyno cos it was well prepared etc, whereas i saw a v6t gemini on the dybno for 2 days cos it was just slapped together
  13. use the tomei 1.0m, or 1.25mm oil restrictors in ur middle and rear oil feeds, they run a 1.5mm from standard, dont modify the front one as it is ur for ur vvt solenoid. this will require ur head to be removed tho, and whilst this is done drill out ur oil return lines, i read this forums oil supply issues thread all in one night and have pretty much everything said stored in the noodle scratcher. i shall be carrying all this out on my motor when it comes apart for forged rebuild. also use a return to sump catch can

  17. i work at rotomotion, if ur after a threaded hosetail fitting we have heaps of them in house, or leave us the car and we will do all that for u and make sure ur boost controller is all functioning properly Jonno - firstly boost controllers have a bleed off function, if u are hooking in ur boost controller into manifold vac uv just given urself a vacuum leak
  18. u cannot use manifold pressure as the source for ur boost controller, it must be turbo pressure, eg all intercooler piping between turbo and throttle body, get ur hands on a threaded hosetail fitting, drill and tap a thread into ur piping and use that as ur pressure source
  19. hey am chasing a crank angle sensor for my series 2.5 rb25, it was one of the last of the r33 rb25s and uses the same crank angle sensor as to that on the r34, different to the normal series 2 and series 1 rb25, instead of the hex type keyway, the keyway is just a striaght cut out thru the middle of the circular rod that mechanically connects to the exh cam any help appreciated thanks, Harry - 0415837360 located in w.a
  20. good guy, knos his shit, highly recommend them
  21. i had this problem when i first put an r34 turbo on my rb20, but i found out that it was due to the actuator, the wastgate actuator had a sort of power band, would mid boost then full boost, i was full boosting around 4500, all i did was swap over my rb20 actuator over and then that cut the rpm by about 1k worrth a shot, altho be warned it may change ur boost setting, mine went up to standard boost 13psi
