  1. Who has it been made by?
  2. At the end of the day this is what my car has run on a dynapak dyno thats all i'm saying. My clutch is not stock, its a 9 puck metal sprung clutch with a 2500 pound pressure plate. And as i've said before comparing dyno figures to other dyno figures is pointless, unless done on the same dyno and same day its not worth it. Whether my car *really* has 273.5PS @ wheels or not, according to the dynapak dyno it has. I'm sure if I went to a dyno dynamics and rolled the car up i'd get a different figure. You cant compare a dynapak to a dyno dynamics as they use a completely different method. As i've said before as well a dyno is better used to find how much more HP is netted from a modification. I didnt start this thread out to be "my car has more HP than everyone else" i just stated what figure the dynapak dyno read.
  3. As I said, as soon as my intercooler is in I'll re-run it on the dyno and then go down the motorplex for another attempt on the 1/4.
  4. Anyone got any idea's or thoughts? Just wondering how you get that nice clean engine bay that you so often see in the car mags?
  5. As per my list below, thats all my mods. As per the power output of the GTR vs my GTS25t, I have less drivetrain loss because I'm rwd he's 4wd. Yes you cant compare other dyno readings with mine as they are completely different dyno's. They arnt even the same. The dynapak dyno has the wheels removed and the dyno attached to the wheel hub, the car spins this and it works out the PS figure. As per what grandenko said the class's are worked out on forced induction times 1.5. But as it stands my car on this dyno has 273.5PS @ wheels, might I suggest some or one of you dyno'ing your car @ speedworks as well as to see what happens. Just a note... they found my intercooler, it went to the US instead of here. I wont be going to the drags until its fitted because my intake temps on 0.8bar are too high. The car sounded very rough towards the end of the 2 runs and I think it may have pinged slightly. But once I go I am confident I will run into the 13's, as rev210 has done. He ran twice at 14.3, then dropped his tyre psi to 20 and ran a 13.8 (on lower boost too, due to a hose slipping off).
  6. Yes it was my output at the wheels and not engine. Go to the link below to see the dyno figures of other cars; http://home.iprimus.com.au/broffbut/perthhps.htm
  7. hmmm... maybe I should try that next time. See this is why wednesday night drags piss me off. You cant get a whole heap of runs to try out different things. I also want to try a few runs with 0.6bar of boost and see what happens there.
  8. Da blue line which goes narly @ 2500 rpm to 3500 rpm is the torque, the green line which climbs slower is still going up @ 6608rpm and peaked at 273.5PS, thats still the blue line dropping off @ 5500 rpm which is the torque.
  9. I got the works, 2500 pound pressure plate and the 9 finger metal spring loaded plate. Its been in now for about a month and I think I'm finally used to the extra effort required to push on the clutch. It takes some time getting used to as rev210 says maybe go with the 2000 pound pressure plate it'll save your legs
  10. I couldnt be assed connecting my scanner and loading up the software (cos I havent reloaded it since I re-did windows). So I took a photo of it.
  11. Rev210 ran 2 x 14.3's then let his street 205/55 tyres down to 20psi and ran a 13.8. Speaks for itself. And this was on 8psi due to one of his vacumn hoses blowing off.
  12. Quite a few of the guys have it here now as well. Its a set of polyurethene bushes that slip into the craddle mounts on the rear, there are 3 settings; drift, traction and normal. Basically it adjusts the way power is transfered to the wheels. The drift setting allows less traction on the rear for better/stable drifting where as the traction allows for better traction when cornering and launching @ drags. Its a kit you can buy from whiteline (kca349 is the part number for r33 skylines) and with a car jack, good socket set and an hour or so you can fit it yourself. Definately worthwhile getting one if you intend on doing a bit of drag racing.
  13. True. But i still think i can run a 13.*something* i want to start playing with my tyre pressures.
  14. Hicks... do you not read or understand english? As I said in a previous post for photo's do a search on the rev210 thread about his ogura flywheel and it has a photo of the clutch plate. I think if you buy the plate off ross @ autoclutch its about $350.
  15. No it wont, its rated to around 450 or 500HP. Rob
  16. $830 or there abouts depending on your exhaust setup for Ross @ Perth Autoclutch to put in a 2500pound pressure plate and 9 finger clutch plate. If you want to see pics of it, find rev210's post about his ogura flywheel as he put the same clutch in as well with his new flywheel. Works great, no slip, just a bit stiffer to drive. Rob
  17. BTW: I forgot to say: Big Thanks go to Ivan and crew @ Speedworks for their help with my car and the dyno. And a Big Thanks goes to Brody from All 4 Wheels car club for organsing the day. And if anyone wants the full size pic of those chicks pm me your email address and I'll send it (its about 1.2mb)
  18. Anyone know how to convert PS into HP? I'm sure 280PS is 208Kw (I think). Anyway, just got back from the dyno day held at Speedworks and organised by the All 4 Wheels Car Club. Managed to pull 273.5PS @ 6608rpm on the rear wheels, using Speedworks new DynaPak dyno. The one where you unbolt your wheels and attach the dyno, meant to be extremely accurate. I duno where the ladies came from, but attached is a photo
  19. I took my car to midland to get registered after compliance and it was pretty easy, once they saw the green compliance plate they pretty much just looked it over and gave me the thumbs up. I think if I get a yellow I'll take it there, they seem very helpfull and casual. Rob
  20. This is why I have never been really interested in measuring a car's performance by what the dyno says. You get into the "my car pulls 350HP""yeah but my car pulls 450HP" Unless its the same dyno, same day sort of thing it isnt worth the hassle. As its been said before its best to visit the same dyno each time to get a realistic figure of how much performance you have gained. This is why I like 1/4 mile times, but again simular arguements can happen. Maybe you should ditch the ecu and go for an apexi fc or something. Obviously the top secret ecu was tuned for 100ron fuel etc etc Rob
  21. What intercooler did you go with in the end gradenko? Rob
  22. I hadnt, but by the 4th run with the staging and all I think the tyre pressure had gotten too high. Rob
  23. I had 4 runs; run1: [email protected]. 60' 2.449. 660' 9.323 run2: [email protected]. 60' 2.578. 660' 9.493 run3: [email protected]. 60' 2.466. 660' 9.467 run4: [email protected]. 60' 2.592. 660' 10.956 On the last run I crossed into the other lane and which time I took my foot off the accelerator and corrected the car and then put my foot back down. I'm sure its due to way too much tyre pressure on the last run and lack of sticky shit on track. Just prior to my 4th run some guy put his into the wall from the same track I was in. Rev210 ran 2 x 14.3's, then dropped his tyre pressure to 20psi and ran a 13.8. Our cars are reasonably simular in the way they are modified. So I'm gonna wait till sunday day drags again and drop the pressure and try again. Rob
  24. My suggestion is to wait until winter again. Unfortunately its 4+ months away, but hardly anyone turns up on the sunday day drag meets and the track will be heaps stickier cos hardly anyone is going down it. Every wednesday night drag, 3 times now, the track has been shithouse because 100+ cars are going down it and the sticky stuff just wears off. Last-time I went I had so much wheelspin and lack of traction from 1st to 3rd I almost had a close look at the concrete barrier (I think my tyre pressure was well above what it should be as well after the 3 runs I had done previously). So I think I'll wait to they start the sunday day drags again and go down with a tyre pressure gauge and a portable pump and let the rears down to ~20-22psi. Plus I'm sick of paying $30 to get in 4 or 5 runs, when the first sunday I went I got at least 16 runs. Rob
  25. Went and had a look at Paul's stuff today, seems pretty decent for the prices he's asking. I suggest if you are looking for a new front spoiler and side skirts (as I am) or rear wing go see him. Most stuff I've looked at has to come from sydney and its $100 in freight alone to get it here. Rob
