interesting. i might have a look on the vicroads site and see what i can find. i told the officer it was pretty dangerous actually driving on the spare, but he just ignored me

i got followed and pulled over 'randomly' on my way home last night.. ~1am in Eltham. licence check, breath test, and he said he wanted to look at my spare tyre (just an excuse to sniff around in my boot i suppose) .. i told him i didn't have one in atm, and he warned me that that's a defect, so i told him i'd put it back in and showed him my pretty boot carpet anyway lol. i was nice and polite, told him i was just going home to bed and he sent me on my way. no mention of looking under the bonnet

maybe the tractor helps him plough better?

mate's dad imported a '69 mustang a couple of years ago. speedo in mph, 110db exhaust etc, but it gets away with it cos it's a 'classic'. it'd be a nightmare to impose such regulations retrospectively.

I put it to you that there is more than enough rainfall and existing water, if we were only intelligent enough to do what was best for our state - build a dam. Mitchell river flooding People's houses are being destroyed and the rest of us being reduced to crippling water restrictions so that we can have a nice pretty river. Disgraceful.

3 times the cost of a new dam on the Mitchell River.. and it's going to provide 1/3 the amount of water that such a damn would... that's 1/9th as meritorious. We are only in a 'drought' thanks to a string of inept State Govts being bullied into inaction by the Green Left. Consider that Melbourne has increased by millions of people since the last major dam was built in 1983... and you'll see that this desal plant is horribly insufficient
