lol these monkeys offer a much quicker response than vicroads ever could. and im more confident of a favourable outcome here the more i think about it - why would vicroads issue me with an invalid licence? i think my P plates have bitten the dust

Hey all, after receiving my full licence renewal form last week sometime, i immediately paid it, and have just today received my driver licence card. Whilst there is no date of commencement anywhere in the accompanying letter or on the card itself, it does say on my probationary licence that it expires December 19th. My question is - which licence is currently valid? I realise the probationary one is yet to expire, so i'm inclined to think i should still be on my Ps, but back in 2005 immediately before i received my probationary licence, my learner permit was still a long way short of expiring. Thus, to my way of thinking, it is possible for a currently valid licence to be usurped by a new one, if and when it is received. Sorry for the lengthy post, i have a bad habit of talking too much sometimes. Cheers Ric

yeah i've noticed the air con thing too... the highest fan setting doesn't do a whole lot more than the 3rd... gets cold really quick but the air stinks!! must be some old japanese noodles stuck in the ducts or something.. man it's bad

yeah when you buy a set of splits it comes with the tweeters. you should already have the woofer installed in the door.. so you won't need to buy any more speakers components. dunno about the JL amplifiers man, to be honest it's not gonna sound any different as any other decent brand amp. so if you can get one for a good price then go for it. as for blowing up your speakers, i wouldn't worry if everything is installed properly. you will be able to hear when they are too loud cos it sounds distorted and shitty. as long as it sounds tight you won't have a problem. sounds good man.. type R subs pound HARD jaycar is meant to be fairly good quality as well, considering the price. the sub is 500w rms if i remember correctly.. so you might want to get an amp with a bit more juice than that good luck Ric

have you listened to either of these brands? when i was buying audio gear for my 33 i went to a shop and the guy played me some focal splits.. i nearly wet myself thats how good they were. so i bought them. just head down and have a listen man.. better to buy what you like best Ric

i know how you feel mate! i get the same way with my gf.. sometimes we go to the casino (in melb) for a nice walk and shop around.. then a few car racing/shooting arcade games. just make sure you let her win a few lol
