  4. I originally went with Suncorp, much to my surprise when i added the turbo they said that wouldnt affect the premium as i wasnt increasing the displacement (go figure). I dont know if this is different these days, but one things for sure... there is no trickin the insurance companies... if there's a way of getting out of paying, be assured they WILL find it!
  5. Geez... we'll have to bring in a Matt-Cap. There is just way too many of us around
  6. I had a 3" cat back on my 33 when it was NA - damn it was loud! sweet but loud! 2½" would be the better choice, as already mentioned
  7. Dodgy afm - check/clean connections try getting hold of another to test
  8. adding a 3" cat back system is a good start. Certainly worth doing. Not only will it sound a lot better, you'll gain a bit of top end power and probably a pound or two in boost also. You can add the other bits (front and dump pipes) down the track. I say go for it!

  10. Given you said you lost power after hitting a bump... I'd be checking connections, battery, fuses etc for any suspect connections.
  11. jlnewton, those wheels look horn! well done
  12. think you'll find its just overfuelling... mine even backfires sometimes during gear. changes only when its cold. up to around 80deg the factory ecu dumps more fuel to burn in an attemp to get the temp up asap. most aftermarket ecus let you control the amount of cold enrichment
  13. what plugs/gap are you using? Also does the haltech pull set amounts of timing out when certain knock levels are reached?
  14. must be a Matt thing... thats got the same skirts and rear quarters as mine... good taste mine's black
  15. true that. i had a similar prob. i manage to avoid it by giving the fuel pump a moment to prime before turning the key the last bit. works every time for me. no pedal.
  16. that "feel" you talk about could just be the wall of the tyre flexing. hence, you notice this less now with the even lower profile you have changed to. you obviously knew the old tyres intimately well... sounds like you've been having fun anyway
  17. Thanks Steve for the advice I'll pick it up next week. I have a new(ish) motor/box in my ride 15k ago. The old converted NA donk got a pardon Matt
  18. I can get a 600x200x75 AVO cooler for $300 from a freind. This size will suit the opening of my front bar perfectly... is this worth putting on? i know its not the typical (600x300) size that everyone gets but surely its better than the crap standard one for running 12psi advice appreciated cheers
  19. i had them fitted by the shop that supplied them. $1550 fitted including wheel alignment i got the King Lows He measured the difference after install and told me 25mm lower at front and the back went down 35mm. looks better now as i always thought the back was a little too high.
  20. got my car back this afternoon... all i can say is WOW  its feels like driving i'm driving a car half the size no more spongy/soggy feeling this package is highly recommended
