  1. booked in tomorrow for this same bilsteins/kings combo my susp has gotten progressively worse over the last 4yrs it should be like a whole new bus... cant wait
  2. if i was to buy this same bilstein /kings combo, how much should i be realistically charged for installation? thanks
  3. try flipping the direction of the light pickup - works for me
  4. one thing hicas wont do is give you a greater turning circle. the rear is supposed to steer the same direction as the fronts. this is to help drive the a$$ around to reduce oversteer.
  5. swapping a known good AFM in + ecu reset would be my first try
  6. search the forums for instructions to perform the hicas diagnostics. with the diagnostics you'll see exactly how much the wheels move etc. (not much) more like a twitch
  7. i think you'll find the hicas only works after 80kmh
  8. Hi guys/gals My standard suspension is a bit sad these days and i'm looking to upgrade. Can anyone whos bought suspension bits for an NA 33 confirm they are the same as a 33T ? I dont wanna buy some secondhand r33 coilovers and find out they wont fit. any help appreciated cheers
  9. heh, i used to cruise the strand in my old 400 small block chev ute before i moved down this way. i havent been back in 8yrs. might be comin back in august for a few days. they reckon its changed a fair bit.
  10. as far as management goes, just use 25det injectors and a factory 25det ecu - a straight swap. the wiring loom and afm are the same keep it to stock boost and you'll be fine
  11. i think all 180sx wheels are 4 stud. if not all some are and they are the same pattern as the non turbo r33 rim (4 stud also)
  12. mine certainly was. easiest way to confirm will be if you have the wiring and plug that would normally go to the factory boost solenoid. if you dont have that connector, then its not the same.
  13. the Driving Force Pro... http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=pro...=1&languageid=1 i bet its gonna be hard work steering with a 900deg range. personally i think 200deg is ample for console driving, any more than that and it will be easier to use a regular controller.
  14. for the conversion i used a GTS Link after swapping engines i have gone back to a factory 25det ecu (mostly coz it was a lot easier to do so to get the car running asap) knowing what i know now, i should have just swapped injectors and used a factory 25det ecu for the conversion. (the afm and wiring loom are all the same in the r33) that would have solved all the tuning issues/time. and if it pinged u can just retard the base timing from the cas. the perfect mod for a 33 gts4
  15. i'd be interested to hear how long it takes others to get from a constant 80kmh to 120kmh in 3rd gear. would be an interesting comparison of real on road performance.
  16. dont be too shy with the boost. i ran 6psi through my rb25de for over 50k i eventually swapped engine and box for the factory turbo variety not really knowing how much longer the old donk would hold up. when the old motor came out and the head came off it was in excellent condition. i should have been more firm with it! in the end i do think its just easier and cheaper to an engine swap dont worry too much about the brakes, i stop fine now with some decent pads. dont even waste ya time trying to turbo an rb20de - just go buy a rb20det it will be cheaper by far cheers
  17. Even cooler pics
  18. borrow a known working AFM from someone before you go trying anything else. common prob
  19. above 0 is positive pressure (boost). below 0 is vaccum. the +7mmHg mark is approx 14psi or 1bar standard boost level is usually the mark between 0 an +7
  20. try jump start it. i have had to do this a few times in the past. make sure you only use a good set of "anti-zap" leads so as not to cause any electrical problems. maybe even a push start if your car's manual. taking it then for a good drive might be enough to brin the battery back to life.
  21. if you run the standard ecu 15deg @ idle. will depend on how much boost you run and what fuel you put through it
  22. lol if that's what smack does to ya, i'll be giving it away!
