  1. hi all, this may seem really obvious, but i have a lead which isn't connected to anything: in fact, the wires have been cut. i think it's coming from an actuator, but even then i have no idea. a removed boost controller maybe? anyone have any ideas? sig.
  2. this video is cgi. it's good work, but the pov camera is too fluid to be real.
  3. in their defence, it can be pretty daunting to meet a bunch of people for the first time (canberra skyline krew or otherwise). i speak from experience!
  4. my flat battery told me i wasn't going anywhere
  5. spotted a very nice black r33 with gold rims earlier in civic. gf said "eyes on the road please!"
  6. <right click> save image as...
  7. yeah what terminal said. ps like your new sig sauce
  8. thanks heaps for this. i think i've found the box - now i just need to find out why the ets can't speak to it...
  9. i passed out because i didn't get to take a breath!
  10. nice pix!
  11. ah, thanks for that!! yes ok i think i can see the indicator - it's not red so i'm guessing the unit is still ok. i'll check fuses next, then wiring.
  12. hi y'all, i have a code 13 in my attessa box in the boot, which tells me fore/aft g-sensors. i have bled the fluid but i still get the error. can anyone tell me where my g-sensors actually are? i have no idea! thanks!! sig
  13. does anyone know exactly where the g-sensors are? my manual isn't clear...
  14. >we cant touch it blah blah you have to go straight to dickson. because it was an import or because it was modified?
  15. spotted a silver r33 gtr last night in woden. white rims, looked nice. also a black? dark blue? r33 near anu a few nights ago. i gave a toot as i passed in the navara. ps i sympathise with the can't sleepers
  16. they showed me the list and then stepped through it with me to make sure everything was ok. they were able to fix everything or take my car to the place to get it fixed (i.e. they took care of everything). i am not sure if that's common practice. i've sent you a pm with what i had to change/fix.
  17. my advice is to just turn up and have the check done. if they make you fix things, then get them fixed and move on. i stressed for days about one or two things on my car - in the end they had a huge list of things that needed doing. two of them were big safety issues, too. i wouldn't have predicted the list. good luck and let us know how you get on.
  18. type "Ngentot" into google: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ngentot
  19. yeah, this really twists my melon. i don't mind either way, but ffs it's a joke if we can call up people *at the same place* and get different advice. i might look further into this.
  20. guys, give them a call now. maybe it used to be the case that you had to go over Dickson, but it's no longer the rule.
  21. hi guys it's fair to say i was a mite ticked about this, not because i might have been wrong but because i went through this about six weeks ago bringing in my gtr. so i decided to call up this morning and make a test of things. i called three different places, the ACT shopfront in civic, the Dickson Motor Registry and the Woden shopfront. they were all unanimous: you DO NOT need to take your pre-registered import over Dickson pits unless it is less than 10 years old. One lady said "no, it makes no difference, as far as we're concerned it's just another car to be registered. the original owner will have had to present the compliance documentation already in NSW". i made sure to verify this with those i spoke to: ANY station is fine. this is good enough evidence for me. incidentally, the random re-inspection is to check on the rego inspection station, not the car owner. i received one of these for our navara ute and i quizzed them about it when they showed up: it's part of their internal audit mechanism.
  22. ah bugger. i started booking last thursday and got called away fk it. well anyway i remember 3fl and exetel were pretty fully booked. i'll have another go if you like.
  23. love it, great work as always rezz. that orange pic on the previous page is really priceless too. keep it up. more!!!!
  24. any import that has been registered elsewhere in australia can go to any authorised rego inspection in the ACT. you don't have to go over dickson pits. if the car is less than 10 years old, you need to have an ID check done. this goes for imports too, and can only be done at dickson. if the car has not been registered in any state yet (i.e. it's a fresh import) then it must go over dickson pits.
