  1. you don't happen to have an r32 g-sensor over there, do you?
  2. saw (and heard) a very nice cream-coloured chaser in civic just before.
  3. if you can tell us the number of flashes, there's a good chance we can tell you where the problem is.
  4. go the black 32s!!! geez wish i had an r32 on my Ls! very nice ride indeed. drive safe mate! btw and remove the alarm brand from your post!
  5. is the ecu in the boot flashing? if so, what is the number of flashes?
  6. yeah here we go spotted a white r33 this evening coming out of civic. big gt wing and sort of blue flamey things down the side.
  7. PM sent several days ago...
  8. aha so consult can diagnose attesa problems?
  9. no mate, not in sydney - don't worry about it, cowie, it's ok. i'll get a new g-sensor and then post back the results. it'll be an interesting adventure anyway. i'll probably buy a consult unit sometime soon, regardless. seems like a useful tool. cheers mate
  10. cheers mate - actually i forgot to mention, the shock window is not red at all. i guess i thought that perhaps the unit was dead, but not through shock, or that the mechanism for turning the window red was also stuffed. i'm wondering if Consult would give me more information (i.e. whether it's worth buying a Consult unit to test this out).
  11. hi guys, i've been trying to fix my attesa. i get 13 flashes on the led, so that means fore and aft g sensor or circuit. i can get the number of led flashes to change if i unplug the g sensors (variously from 11, 12 and 16) so i don't think the control unit is lying. in multimeter testing i got the following results: control unit harness side resistance = 34.5k ohms (i.e. between 30 and 50 k ohms) control unit connector voltage = 1.97v (i.e. g-sensor faulty) g-sensor side resistance = 27.2k ohms (i.e. g-sensor faulty) (not between 30 and 50 k ohms) g-sensor vehicle-side voltage = 7.99v (i.e. g-sensor faulty) i thought i'd narrowed it down to the g sensor. i removed the g-sensor and tried it again, this time out of the car. the resistance went up to 30k ohms (i.e. harness faulty). my question is: could removing the g-sensor like this somehow explain the (small) resistance increase? as you can see, all my other evidence says it's a faulty g-sensor but i'd like to be sure. i don't want to get another g-sensor and then find out it's the harness. any ideas? sig.
  12. really great work, cowie. found what i was looking for - the model number for the dash bulbs (T10). Ebay seem to have quite a few: http://search.ebay.com.au/t10 i'm also putting together a diy for attesa troubleshooting so i'll direct people to your thread for dash removal. keep it up mate.
  13. if this was hollywood, you two would end up being the same person.
  14. yeah that site is pretty interesting, mazgtr - in fact in their screen shot of the fuse box you can see it has a 75a fuse in place...
  15. well, that makes me feel a bit better, ta for that chaps. i think for the moment i might just assume that it's meant to be missing and look for the problem elsewhere.
  16. you legend cowie. yeah i read on another forum that someone else's gtr is also missing the main fuse. my attesa problem gets more and more curious. can't seem to get a stable reading of resistance across the control unit/g sensor terminals but maybe i'm just not doing it right. that said, voltage seems to be stable 8v for both plugs on the g sensor...hmmm maybe i should make a separate post about that too... i am missing three fuses in the cabin - in this pic i'm missing 33, 34 and 35 but i have no idea if they'd affect attesa. hmmmm......
  17. hi y'all, yeah i'm on a fix-it binge. i was in my main fuse box earlier and found it's missing the main 75a fuse. is this normal in an r32 gtr? looky here: could this be affecting my attesa?? cheers, sig
  18. see that's interesting because whenever i see leech he's always chatting and that. i have no problem meeting strangers - but not everyone is like me (or you skylvia thank god JOKES JOKES). but seriously i'm just saying that the perception and reality are different things. i mean, what is it that people are actually scared of here? nothing, it's all irrational: no one is gonna say "oh you're a wanker take your skyline and get lost". we can say that we're friendly and approachable all we like, it's the appearance and perception that matters. i think it's important to be aware of that is all.
  19. any news? my hicas is fine but attesa/abs are not. fuses seem fine but my fuse box has no 75a main fuse...
  20. Yes, this is easy for the in-group to say. But it has the same effect as telling a junky to 'just say no'. All I'm saying is that it's important to be aware that not everyone is so comfortable fronting up to a new group without prior introduction.
  21. ok cheers guys, i really appreciate the help!
  22. yep it's an hks actuator...there did used to be a boost gauge there but it was removed. now i don't know if it's actually doing anything there...
