hi guys,
i've been trying to fix my attesa. i get 13 flashes on the led, so that means fore and aft g sensor or circuit. i can get the number of led flashes to change if i unplug the g sensors (variously from 11, 12 and 16) so i don't think the control unit is lying.
in multimeter testing i got the following results:
control unit harness side resistance = 34.5k ohms (i.e. between 30 and 50 k ohms)
control unit connector voltage = 1.97v (i.e. g-sensor faulty)
g-sensor side resistance = 27.2k ohms (i.e. g-sensor faulty) (not between 30 and 50 k ohms)
g-sensor vehicle-side voltage = 7.99v (i.e. g-sensor faulty)
i thought i'd narrowed it down to the g sensor. i removed the g-sensor and tried it again, this time out of the car. the resistance went up to 30k ohms (i.e. harness faulty).
my question is:
could removing the g-sensor like this somehow explain the (small) resistance increase?
as you can see, all my other evidence says it's a faulty g-sensor but i'd like to be sure. i don't want to get another g-sensor and then find out it's the harness.
any ideas?
