Hi guys, I'm moving house and got some stuff to get rid of. Everything's fixed price cheap! Pickup from Mitcham in Melbourne only. PM me here or email me [email protected] if you want anything. Items available after 7pm weeknights and most weekend afternoons. 1) Home gym/weights machine with about 120kg of weights, used a couple of times then I pulled a muscle and was advised not to use it anymore . $100 bargain! (bought for $400) - you'll need at least 2 people to disassemble and a wagon/4WD/ute/trailer to move it. 2) Ikea mattress (Sultan I think) queen sized. Used for 2 weeks for visiting guests then packed up again. Ideal for guest /spare bedroom. Paid about $200, take it away for $80. Four chairs, $20 the lot. 4) Pool table, pub size, wooden. Slightly uneven playing surface, comes with pool balls & cues. Good for your spare room, workshop, whatever. Has foldup legs. Pretty easy to transport with a station wagon/4WD or ute/trailer. Can't take a pic as it's covered with other boxes, but you know what a pool table looks like. $50 only! 5) Big wooden thing with removable shelves. Came with my house when I bought it, using it to hold old car magazines and stuff, good for shed/workshop/garage. $10! You'll need trailer/ute I think to move it. 6) Foam sofa, just needs some vacuuming. $20. 3" hosing, $10 for approx 3 metres (I have two 3m lengths available) 7) Shade sails - brand new! I have three beige square 3.6x3.6m shade sails and one rectangular dark green 2.5 x 2m shade sails. $15 each. 8) Tyres (off R33 GTR), jap spec Bridgestone RE50s, I think they were 235/45/17. Worn but still with some meat left on them! Use them for drift/track practice. $150 for all 4. FREE STUFF (if you buy something above!) Picnic table, foldout, broken handle but still folds out. FREE STUFF! Firewood - I've got about 3 trailerloads of well dried wood (aged at least 3 years) ideal for winter, unless you're not hot enough right now FOR BIGGER PICS click here: http://picasaweb.google.com/88speed/TimSMo...feat=directlink Will update this post with more stuff that I uncover in the packing process! Now I'm sure everyone here has all their modifications fully approved, engineered and road legal. That's why I highly advise driving down Whitehorse road, between Springvale Rd and Mitcham Rd (right at the Rooks Rd intersection) where some very helpful "volunteers" will help ensure that your car is fully compliant with all required road policies. At least, they were there a few minutes ago (12:30) and given the number of "volunteers" and cars being parked, they could be there a while.

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
slknv replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Being searching for installation instructions for an R33 GTR, can anyone help? I'm thinking it'd be the vac hose with the factory restrictor as the obvious choice, but would appreciate a quick install diagram if anyone can help! Only got a flat panell intake & catback exhaust and my boost gauge is reading about 0.8bar with that alone. Thanks Tim -
llama, post a pic of your headlights otherwise it's kinda hard to tell how far gone yours are. I did my headlights with plastx and came up a treat Before and after pics

R33 Gtr Fob, Hesitates At 2.5krpm, Ticking Noise In Boot?
slknv replied to slknv's topic in General Maintenance
Hi Deren - thanks for the info Hesitation has all been fixed up, dodgy connections to the battery was the problem, that's all Still getting the clicking relay in the boot; it's this one: Larger picture: Clicking GTR Vspec relay in boot also uploaded a vid of it clicking to youtube: ATTESA relay clicking video I've been told it's the ATTESA relay, and it could be due to a dodgy relay, bad ATTESA pump, faulty pressure switch, faulty accumulator? Haven't got time to troubleshoot it right now, but there was a link someone sent me to get the ATTESA diagnostics happening (checking LED flashing in boot ECU next to battery?). I've done a whole heap of searching for this relay tripping and there's a few others who have the same issue, but not much information on how they diagnosed and fixed the problem. Anyone had this relay problem, what was the outcome? Be great to hear of any further info. Can anyone recommend a good workshop/mechanic in Melb to diagnose & fix this problem? Car has got its RWC done now (needed new windscreen, CV boots, castor bushes, battery tiedown, engine wash) and booked in for vicroads inspection Tuesday sept 3rd! Main other issue is that I've got some outrageous fuel consumption going on, done maybe half a tank of fuel to go 100km? I'm booking it in for a bit of a service in a week or two, will get the shop to check O2 sensors and injectors as that's what I imagine are the main likely culprits. Also the other day after about 15 mins of driving I heard this weird noise under the dash, sounded like a servo going nuts (think of old school CD players when they're searching for a track on a dirty CD, that's what it sounded like!) Idled the car today for 20 mins but the sound didn't come back. Tim -
Help With A Replacement Battery In A Bnr34 Gt-r
slknv replied to mxfly's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'm using an Optima red top 34, fulled sealed and big capacity If you're in melbourne, I've got a spare red top 34 i'm selling for half price; send me a PM if you want it Tim -
Updates and info would be much appreciated! I'm having the same issue with my R33 GTR Vspec (only picked it up about 10 days ago from compliance); ticking noise in rear of boot approx every 20-30 seconds or so. No "4WD" warning light on dashboard, the front wheels seem to kick in when they're meant to. From what I've read on SAU, gtroc and a few other places, there are some usual suspects to look at: HICAS relay ATTESA relay – hydraulic system for 4WDBleed attesa fluid Check pressure switch E-TS/LSD actuator motor Pressure accumulator I think the attesa on vspec gtrs is a bit different to the ones on stageas (due to the LSD?), but even so any more info can help narrow down this little annoyance! My car is missing the fuse box cover, the one over the engine bay fuses on driver's side. Anyone wrecking an R33 GTR and has one for sale? I'm not sure if R32/R34 or non GTR fuse box lids are the same or not. Tim

Hi guys, Just picked up an R33 GTR yesterday and was told by the compliance workshop they had to chop out the japanese alarm as it was causing them all kinds of problems while compliancing my car - unfortunately I think it's the source of the problems I'm having with the car now! I could drive it home very slowly, the car hesistated a lot at 2.5-3000rpm and there was a lot of electrical problems, lights fading every 20-30 seconds on the way home . Was given an alarm siren they removed from the car. Anyway, now the car's sitting in my driveway and it won't start (tried jump starting from another car etc), just doesn't tick over. I was also given the Japanese alarm keyfob (called "Force 1000" or something) which I put a new AAA battery in, and pushing the button seems to activate central locking and another alarm siren which is hidden in the car somewhere! So anyway, I've got the feeling the old immobiliser is still wired into the fuel pump/starter motor, as when I'm trying to jumpstart, the car just doesn't start at all. I also suspect the alarm was trying to do something while driving the car home, that's why I had so many problems. I need a mobile auto electrician (or ideally a mobile alarm installer) in Melbourne (eastern suburbs, Mitcham) who can totally remove the the old Japanese system and install an Australian approved 2-3 point immobiliser so my insurance company is happy! If anyone has any recommendations at all please PM me or post in the forum, as I want this car driveable and registered asap! Thanks guys Tim

Hi mate - sent you a PM, I have exactly the same problem with my R33 gtr and chopped up Japanese alarm system which I picked up yesterday from compliance Tim

Hi guys! I picked up my R33 GTR this morning from compliance in Melbourne, drove it home. Of course, the battery was flat so I got a jump start at the compliance workshop, filled up petrol and was on the way. One weird thing is there's a ticking sound coming from the boot at the rear (near the boot lock), sounds like a relay tripping every 20-30 second or so. Makes the radio and dash clock go off for a split second. Also, when I accellerate in gear, there's a lot of hesitation around 2500rpm, car jerks quite a bit, tacho flicks down then up, then it's more or less OK over 3000rpm. I haven't given the car any stick of course, and it's booked in for a service this coming Wednesday. Was just hoping any of your experts out there could give me any indication of what's going on? Is the relay/ticking in the boot related to the hesitation at all? What's the normal advice for replacement parts for a fresh GTR from japan? Thanks for the help guys, I'm impressed at all the knowledge on this forum and I'm sure someone's got the answer! Tim

Hi guys, Just wondering if an aftermarket catback exhaust from an R32 GTR can fit an R33 GTR? I suspect it's not a straight bolton, but is it similar enough that it'll fit with maybe some minor modifications? I've been told that on an R33, a GTR exhaust can fit onto a GTS-T and vice versa, but not sure about the difference between R32 and R33. Thanks for the help guys - I'm stocking up on goodies for my '97 v-spec when it finally arrives in Melbourne! Tim

Hi David, I think someone already posted the address, but it's 15/100 New Street, Ringwood VIC 3134. It's down the road where ringwood mazda used to be. Might be open a bit more limited hours while Aaron's away, but still plenty of good stuff to dig through! Tim
