  1. Talking of cheats and crooks ...... old Sir Frank wasn't past doing that sort of thing either! Two version for you to ponder over.
  2. Jesus you have to be as old as me! Being a huge Gordon Murray fan (no pun intended on the wording) I will categorically deny that the fan was used for anything other than cooling! 'n' besides it was never conclusively proven that it wasn't. Also, Colin Chapman was a crook. ooooohhhhhh no another childhood myth destroyed! Have you no shame? Was that the Chapparel 2E that had the movable high mount rear wing?
  3. Yeppo .... One race for one win and then retired! 100% winning record. Such a shame ..... sorry fellas I am a great believer in the era of innovation ..... bring back ground effects I say. Ahhhh yes in those days corner speed was only dictated by the size of a mans jojones! Sorry guys didn't mean to jack the thread. Just drifted off into an era when passing in F1 was not done in the pits. Webber and RBR hmmmmmm I reserve my judgement until 2007 season cheers Muz
  4. I will take your learned reply under advisement. And I thoroughly concur with your thoughts on the JPS cars. I still have an old Auto Action poster of the JPS (1972) 72 car with all the gold leaf on the rear wing signifying their many victories. Vale Colin Chapman. The man who coined the phrase "if it didn't break as it crossed the finish line then it was far too strong and therefore needed to be lightened". I do wonder though... did any mere mortals win using the Renault customer motors during that period or only Aryton? Speaking of things past ...... what about the infamous Brabham Fan car (BT46B) ahhhhhhh innovation!
  5. Absolutely not! But Renault were only an engine supplier and not a team at that point.
  6. I have officially lost interest in this soap opera!!!. Webber to Red Bull ...... oh spare me! Must be something in the Elf fuel they all sniff! As mentioned somewhere else in this post, no customer Ferrari powered car has ever won a world championship race let alone a whole championship. Same for Renault too! AAAAAAaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh it's all too much!
  7. Isnt Button's PA an aussie chick? sorry to get off the subject. That will teach me to nod off during the race ....... lost interest after MW retired ...... was it a good race and what happened to MS?
  8. Hi mate, I will soon have a set of Nismo "S" Tune dampers available for sale. They will come with two sets of springs. The standard Nismo ones and a set of RS*R lowering springs. Please PM me if you are interested. You will not be dissappointed in price. I am taking these off my 34 and putting on a set of Tein Flex which are currently in transit from Japan. The units are in good condition with no leaks etc. These are adjustable damper units only. Not height adjustable. Cheers Murray
  9. Ahhhhh yes but did you ever see him drive Alan Hamilton's Porsche 935? Absolutely flogged all comers including several other 935's.
  10. Didn't I hear that Schumi is staying at Fazza HQ for another two years with Massa as his rear gunner? So count Ferrari out of the equation. For Marks sake, I hope he hasn't signed with Red Bull!
  11. Will Webber get a drive at all? To go to Red Bull is going backwards and after some of things he is credited or quoted as saying about BMW engines then BMW may also be out of the loop. Maybe Prodrive in 2008 with Subaru power?
  12. Sorry mate ..... just goes to show one should read all posts carefully before responding. Just checked my workshop manual and there is no difference to the units other than as previously described. Cheers and good luck with the search.
  13. The turbo has the saddle type arrangement at the bottom of the unit and the NA has an "eye" or round type locating point at the bottom. I wait to be corrected on that as that may have been the difference between the sedan and coupe........... If the turbo ones are of any use, I have a set sitting in my garage that I will part with for a relatively minor cost. PM for cost. Also have a set of Nismo "S" Tunes (when I get them off the car) in about 6-8 weeks. Cheers Muz
  14. Hi fellas, Do you by any chance have the two lower interior kick panels (left one hides the ECU and right one the fuse box). And also does the centre arm rest thingo have the slide out drink holder bit for rear passengers? Cheers Muz
  15. ITEM SOLD Tein EDFC ( http://www.tein.co.jp/edfce.html ) model number EDK05-12120 suitable for Skyline. $250.00 plus postage (No offers please as this is below what it cost me already) I won this kit on Yahoo Japan thinking that I would eventually own a set of Tein's but a change of mind has seen me end up with Nismo "R" Tune instead. Will send pics to any genuine enquiries otherwise just use the above link to read all about it. cheers
  16. You will need to check if the Compliance Centre left your ballast's on the bottom of the lights (doubtful) and if not you need to get the conversion kit or find somewhere/someone who will sell you the bits and pieces. cheers Muz
  17. So you like Nissan's eh? This is a very good question and one which I wish I could answer for you but can't. Here in this sublime piece of paradise we, the true believers, are still a very minor minority and unless your car is built by the dodgy manufacturers in Victoria it is very difficult to have someone not turn their collective noses up at your pride and joy. Now having said that, there is quite a good group of Skyline and other assorted Nissan fanatics here in the wet sunny north. As far as businesses go, Leigh Holmans Special Vehicles Services (they have a dyno - all wheel drive from memory), Cairns Leading Automotive Services (Dyno Dynamics Dyno - 2 wheel) and a couple of other dedicated enthusiast types offer good service. As far as parts etc go, The Nissan dealer is very helpful and the Internet is a wonderful tool. Holmans has a good young bloke (Cameron) who is really getting his head around tuning Apexi PFC's. Holman's do good quality work and are slightly above average in price (at least I think so) but worth it. However if you see any of the Skyline/Silvia crowd I am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction. If you want to chat, just give us a call (0400-006864). I am one of the older Nissan tragics (not necessarily more mature) and own an R34 GTT. Anyway welcome to the North. Cheers Murray
  18. Sorry that should have been Modicoat which is a company in Brisbane. www.modicoat.com cheers Muz
  19. Got mine from Yahoo Auctions but they are not real C/F. It is a overlay and I would imagine very similar to what Modicar used to do. I did have link but they appear to have vanished. Sorry couldn't be more help. cheers Muz
  20. No sounds about right for Air. Try econo air or sea freight if you can afford the time. Helluva lot cheaper. cheers
  21. No sorry no other readouts (didn't ask for any). Self imposed "redline" at 6900 rpm
  22. .9 Bar on a standard turbo.
  23. A dyno run on my R34 GTT. Mods that may affect performance include ARE FMIC, Apexi Pod Filter, Z32 AFM, Cold Air Induction solid pipe, 3 inch cat back Nismo Exhaust, Power FC, Apexi Boost control kit, HKS Oil cooler and Splitfire Coil packs and Iridium Plugs. PFC has only had a road tune. Open to discussion.
