As this has the potential to turn very nasty, if it hasn't already, then, in my case, the broker must shoulder the blame. Ignorance (as in "I didnt' know about the requirements after a certain date") will certainly not be a defendable arguement. Then again, if one was to go to the dotars web site and check what cars are actually importable (which is what I did), it makes absolutely no mention of a difference between the model years when discussing M35's so is the government actually at fault??? An interesting conundrum is it not? Let the battle be joined! Muz

Well actually no it was a pretty good race once The Doctor gave em all a head start. He had one of the slowest bikes in a straight line (301 KPH to Stoner @ 315KPH) but was absolutely blinding in the twisty bits. The race was on Fox also (thank god). I just love to watch that lad ride! cheers Muz

Hmmmmmm, sounds just like the problem I had when I had a Microtech installed. No AFM causes heaps of things to not function as they should. Changed to a PFC with a Z32 AFM and bingo all is good again. Does yours still have the AFM? Cheers Muz

Sorry if it sounded like I was somehow moaning about the vehicle, but I wasn't. I selected the car from the auction pics and data and if it turns out to be a dud then thats my problem not theirs. They were only advising on the same piece of information that I had. J-Spec have sent me about 140 pics of the car and I don't think I have bought a dog but only time will tell. My whinge was about the lack of commuication which seems to be fairly prevalent in all businesses these days so perhaps J-Spec are no different to the normal. My expectations might be too high? Who knows! J-Spec aren't being all that forthcoming with information. As far as I know it is still sitting on a wharf somewhere in Japan. I eventually got hold of someone called Ben there yesterday who indicated that he didn't know when it would leave Japan. He was supposed to send me an email with a full list of details which I duly received last night but it was corrupted (their end not mine) so I sent it back and asked for it to be re-sent but I'm still waiting. Must admit I'm a little unhappy with the services rendered and lack of communication thus far. I only used them as they are a sponsor of SAU and some people have given them good reviews. I did find out that it will be complied somewhere in Sydney so WHEN it is available I will have it trucked direct to you or perhaps to my oldies in Brisbane and get it registered and then over to you. I can only wait as I have done everything asked of me without delay. cheers Muz

You sure about the alarm? and as far as I know with insurance, I have the R34 through Shannons but am prepared to look elsewhere if the deal is right. Yes although I think the wife will probably beat me to it. Let's see now, radio needs to be converted/adjusted/whatever, TV/DVD needs to have a converter, Navi is ...... well effing useless here, It should have an alarm system fitted so may not need one of those but I figure there is enough there to keep you going for a week. cheers Muz

There is a converter available that converts PAL signal to NTSC format or vice versa. Google it.

Thanks Terminal and SKA (for doing the pics properly). My missus currently drives a Territory for work and loves it????? but she is about to change occupations so will lose the Territory and wanted something similar at the right money. I tried talking her into one of the normal AWD M35's but she wanted this one which all said is not a bad looking vehicle. Plus it has everything she wanted in a car so for mid 30K she has done ok I think. Many thanks to Craig at J-SPec. Don't know what I am going to do with the ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) though? That's the little thingo that looks like a floppy disk drive beside the DVD. Cheers Muz
