  1. Any news Pete? It was put on the Dyno yesterday after the Dump was installed, so should have a result later today, not sure if I will get a dyno graph , I would like one ? Still no news on the water leak but they will be doing a pressure search when the tune is done, THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE LEAK AS I WRITE THIS But getting close and I am looking forward to see if the bigger dump and Cat make a difference to the tune and if it spools a little earlier. There seems to different opinions regarding this but most say for a turbo, the bigger the better and none is even better
  2. Welcome Mate Nice looking R, enjoy spending your money once you start modifying it, a second job would help, LOL You will get all the info you need or don't from these blokes Pete
  3. Should be a blast, Have you done some of these events ? Been having a look at some of the events, Wootton Way looks like a great road and to be able to use 3 lanes, DREAM RUN They get a good mixture of cars in these events and if I ever get to do them, someone will be happy when I grab the wooden spoon off him, lol I had it in my mind that Wootton Way was a little country road, more like the Lakesway going into Forster from Bulahdelah, now that would be an interesting Hill Climb doing a couple of the Hills on the Lakesway. Much tighter corners I think, it is a fun road and puts a smile on your face, but one lane for normal driving, still fun When I pick my car up I am going to have a look at the Wootton Way road to see what it is like first hand. I know there has been a bit of drifting done there.
  4. LOL, no haters mate, all good Everyone expected more than what the dyno showed, drives better than it looked, well up to 6000rpm, lol but it is still being tweaked. I am not going for massive HP. It should be all done in a couple of months and I will post the results, well modifying months = ?? I have not driven a car that holds the road like this does after the driveline work I had done and I want to try some hill climb events. I believe there is one close at Wootton Way Bulahdelah, they had one in March but not sure if they do it often ??
  5. some old farts like myself . also It must be the video games, the kids seem to know the Skylines
  6. I can believe that, but thats OK I am divorced, LOL That was before I started playing with GTRs
  7. It is just a car, a bit of fun that sometimes can give you the shits. Just like marriage, but still less expensive,LOL
  8. I know what you are saying, no probs mate But thats why I can do this, I spent my money wisely and worked my butt off , I do not owe anybody a penny and just want to do something a little silly, but something I get pleasure out of. When I have my car I drive it just about every day, I get a shit load of fun out of it, money well spent, love it It is even going to be better fun soon
  9. The $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$s, gone, haha You are dead a long time, do what you want now You see blokes spending $50k+ to get a second off there already fast car. Cars that have had $200k spent on them over the years, then sell them for $85k There are blokes on this forum that have spent a shitload more than mine will ever cost and then start all over again, all good. Some blokes just piss it up against a wall or toss it at the TAB, whatever makes you happy
  10. That will be getting done very soon, just have to get this sorted , then get the parts and book it in Rubber is pretty good, 265/35 x 18 AD08Rs , they really grip!
  11. The Turbo was on. Left a lot of boltons on the car and have been upgrading them as needed. I had no idea when I started this I would go to this stage They told me the fuel delivery was starting to be a problem, especially if I go for E85 and wanted to turn the wick up. Then, the surge tank would be a good idea. I am sick of worrying once I get down to 1/4 tank if I am playing. Going to end up with a jumble sale of parts soon and all of them are near new
  12. Of course there is a lot holding this together but without nuts and bolts. Nitto 3.2./ RB30 PT6262 CEA 9Lt sump conversion supertech 1mm OS valves and stuff head cleaned up custom UE 260 10.8 cams etc Koyorad radiator Splitfire coils ID 1300 injectors Custom catch tank Haltech ECU Platinum Pro R34GTR Flex fuel sensor HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller 3.5" dump, cat and custom high flow stainless exhaust ( 3.5" cat and dump now going in the car) Nismo slave cylinder coppermix twin C Spec Quaife front diff Modified Transfer case Nismo 2-way LSD Next to do after I get over this lot is, CAI pod cover Twin Walbro intank surge tank and fuel lines etc Full Flex tune. I know there are shit loads more you can do to your car to call it a top end build, but for a DD it is a pretty strong build that you can drive to church or get you to heaven, real quick, or HELL
  13. haha, a little bit more work than that, but not finished yet
  14. So it is about 77% going from 3" to 4" , that is something
  15. when it is put that way it is pretty impressive ? what does 38.4 in "2" mean
  16. Thanks, do you really think that 1/2 an inch will make that much difference, there is a step down from the turbo to the dump and a step up from the cat to the exhaust. I guess it would have to be restrictive. I have heard said that an 1" makes all the difference but never knew what they were talking about
  17. Yeah sure, no boost I think we all have pet hates, mine is sitting behind someone in a 60 zone and they are doing 40 to 50, then you get into a 50 zone, you go past them and then they do 60 or more to get in front of you, fn country towns ,haha
  18. With a very nice bottle of , Chianti
  19. I was going to go with the 4" dump and cat, but could not knock this offer back. I did not mind having the 3.5" exhaust system back from the Cat as it was built to flow and once the gases got to the exhaust it would be cooling a little. Soon find out how the 3.5" goes, maybe a week before it's done ?
  20. He was just being a prick, probably pissed, you should have dragged him out and bitch slapped him
  21. haha, you bad Probably going 4" would be better but at least it will be 3.5" all the way should eliminate a bit of the back pressure he had when tuning it. It was an offer I could not refuse and I appreciated it
