My TPS was reading 5.1 volts so i changed it to 3volts. tightened it up and rechecked. it read 2.9volts, went for a drive and it felt better but still not 100% so i tried 3.5volts. it seems to of improved quite substantialy but its rasied my idle to around 1500rpm. Is this normal? I adjusted my idle screw on the throttle body which lowered it to normal rate. Should i have adjusted that? Stuart

This is probably going to sound realy dumb but i want to get it right. when adjustinng the TPS u said to adjust it with the throttle fully closed. does this have to be done with the car running or ignition on. sorry it sounds pretty dumb but i dont want to stuff it up. Thanks Stuart

sounds as though youve got a different problem, mines like a tiny jerk and it only does it when your on and off throttle all the time. hardly noticable but more noticable when your driving at 2-5km/h realy slow. Hope that helps, but probably not!

Thank you very much, it sounds as though your on the money. Another question is how do u adjust it? is there some sort of screw to adjust the voltage? What does it look like? the only thing i can see on the throttle body is a little black solonoid type thingy with about 6 wires coming out of it. Would that be it? Thanks again stu

I have a stock series 2 manual and when i got it, it was the smoothest car ive ever driven. I took it to my mechanic shop who is a well known dyno shop in melbourne. After getting it back its not smooth on and off the throttle, its got a little jerk. more noticeable when going realy slow but never the less noticable all the time. Its starting to give me the shits. I took it back to my mechanic and he said that theres nothing wrong with it, but i know what it was like before. so im stuck with it. Apparently the only thing they adjusted was the tps (throttle position switch). Does anyone know much about this switch and if it can be adjusted without hooking it up to a computer and where it is located? Help anyone Thanks Stu

Im wondering if anyone is towing with there c34 on a regular basis and if theres anything that i should look out for ie: wear and tear, whether they tow good cause i know some cars arent designed for towing. The reason im asking is that ive just got myself a custom made towbar and ive ordered a tradies trailer cause im a carpenter. Ill be towing around 600 to 750kg everyday and im just a bit worried that the car wont handle that sort of weight on it everyday. My towbar has been rated at 2t but its not that, that im worried about its the suspension and other things. Any help would be good Stu

While i was washing my car today i noticed a tiny rust patch under the drivers side mirror, ive heard this is a common problem in stags. I was wondering what can be done to stop this spreading and if anyone knows how to remove the mirror so i can so how far it extends. Thanks

Sweet looking ride, uve done well there. id say thats a pretty rare car especialy having all those dayz options. keep hold of that one it will be worth alot one day. Mines has dayz options to but mine only came with front bar and rear lip and skirts, carbon instrument cluster backing, rear bagde. id like to order some other options if there available.

I had one in my car but i pulled it out and replaced it with a boost gauge, still got it in the garage somwhere. The drive meter is simply a tacho with digital display reading as in if your car is doing 3500rpm it reads 35 on the display and it has a colour display which as you go up in revs it goes up from green to orange to red and also has a shift light which conveiniently flashes at 3000rpm which is around when your turbo spools up. i dont think it can be adjusted though which is pretty poxy.

One of my good mates Stuart Wilcock from launceston hes done quite a few now. hes done about 4 rebuilds for me and i know of at least 10 others hes done, Merv Gray machine shop in Launceston did the machining.

For sale Rb25 DET complete engine including alternator, starter motor and loom (no computer) was rebuilt 15,000kms ago. Have receipts and dyno sheets from 153rwkw at 7psi to 194rwkw at 12psi with aftermarket computer, boost cont, full 3inch exhaust and fuel pump. Also have had the head off new valve stem seals and checked as its been sitting round for a fair while. Also have photos taken of combustion chambers showing prominent hone marks. Yeah i printed out about 20 pages on it and gave it to my mechanic and he reckons he tried the method suggested on page 1 and it didnt work. So he said he didnt want to try any more incase he stuffed my computer up which was fair enough. So im going to take it to a auto elect too see what they can do. Will let u know what i come up with.
