  1. Sorry, silly me forgot to give details. The bottom end and top end were rebuilt using Standard internals (used original pistons, standard bore size), new rings and bearings and mains fitted, crank grind, block decked, head pressure tested and shaved, new guides and valve stem seals, reseat and grind valves. New gasket kit. I may of missed a few things but everything was done. Will check my receipts when i get home and repost anything ive missed. Turbo wasnt touched as it was checked and didnt need rebuilding said the machine shop where all the work was done.
  2. Hay guys, I have an rb25det that was rebuilt 25'000km ago. Have reciepts for work done and dyno sheet with 194.8rwkw on 12 psi with haltech. does not come with ecu but with standard loom. Have the head off at the moment 4 photos of under the head and cylinders showing hone marks. Just wondering what it is worth?

  4. Hay guys, just had a query about what sort of oil u guys are running in your series 2 stagea or r34. Just need help on what viscosity u should be using in a turbo engine. Ive always used mobil one in the silver bottle 5w-50 on my vl rb25det, is this ok for my stagea. If theres any suggestions on what oil would be ok ur help would be appreciated
  5. I will give u $500 if its for a series 2. I think series 2 are different 2 series 1's Cause mines a series 2. What other parts are you seperating. Can trade some standard parts and cash adjustment if u have anything that i need.

  9. They do have a bov, but its stock and its plumbed back in to the system so there pretty quiet with the stock airbox, you basically cant her the turbo and bov. But if you get a pod filter and do away with the airbox. Ull here the sound of the bov and turbo spooling up. You shouldnt have any trouble with kamikaze motors, they only import quality cars. What sort of warranty are you getting with the car. I got an option of 1-3 year warranty on mine through an import yard in bayswater, the warranty was through 24/7 roadservices. If your car doesnt have this i advise you look into it. It wasnt that dear but it gives you a safeguard if something does go wrong, not saying that anything will. They are a great car. As for the dents and marks. i wouldnt worry about them to much. youve got to remember they are aroung 10 years old. mine was graded at 4.5 and still has a few marks. Its just wear and tear. Ud notice if the car had done around 200k. if its in good nick then they would be genuine k's Headlights are the best headlights ive ever had and they can be adjusted height postion and you dont even have to move out of your seat at the flick of a switch. Never had any dramas. The high beam is incredible. The japanese think of everything. after i bought mine i was finding gadjets 4 up 2 a month. Like the rear seats recline the centre compartment opens both ways. Does yours have a cargo barrier That doubles as parcel shelf and a cargo blind. If it doesnt ask them 2 get one out of one of the other cars, thats what i had to do. As for the wastegate, there internal on the turbo. Any questions dont hesitate to ask

  11. Dont be sorry man, stagea's are sick cars. i love em. This is my personal opion but i would by ur basic mods first ie: FMIC, Full Exhaust, Pod filter and then save for a decent computer cause ur computer is the heart of ur car and injectors and decent boost controller and then ull be set. Maybe a clutch would be a good idea 2 cause standard clutches arent much chop. To give u any indication on price look up just jap. heres the web address http://www.justjap.com/ Happy hunting
  12. thanks for the advice i was thinking of using a r34 Apexi PFC. easy to tune ive heard. im going 2 slowly do my mods cause i want to do it properly and cash is the problem. What does ur car go like, what year is it.
  13. I put a new set of plugs in and had them gapped by my mechanic. im not sure if it was doing this before i put the pod on as i didnt have the car long b4 i modded it. The problem with this problem is that it only happens sometimes, very rarely actually and u would think if it was a coil pack braking down it would be getting worse or happening all the time. Ill start off with coil packs and new plugs then go from there Thanks
  14. I bought my stagea S2 1998 RS4 S rb25neo about 8 months ago and need some help with sourcing some mod parts for it. Its stock as a rock apart from pod filter. Need more grunt, its hard going from a vl with rb25 conversion pumping out 250rwkw 2 a stagea with about 100 at all fours so i want 2 start with some good mods to make around 200 at all 4's. computer-is there a plug in type computer for the rb25 neo (best value for money?) Front mount kits- boost controller- cat back system- front pipe-i have one off a r33 which i used 4 my vl- Does this fit? (x-force) injectors- (sard or nismo?) Suspension- what fits the series 2? (back and front) has nismo short springs so i want to use them just need shocks? Nismo series 2 bodykit- Volk racing te37 rims-18 or 19 inch Any other mods that i need to do 2 make around 200kw at all 4's Thanks

  16. Im from launy, recently moved 2 melbourne 3 years ago. Born and bread in tassie. Bought a 1998 S2 RS 4 S Manual 67000km silver in colour. So mine will be returning soon. Fully sic car, good for tassie roads. Brought it over at easter and drove 2500km round tas. It loved the windy roads especially the sidling at scottsdale. went through there with a mate with an r32. had a ball, tyres screeching round every corner. it loved it. although it definately needs more power stock as a rock something im working on as we speak. pretty hard going from a vl with 250rwkw to my stagea which has 101kw at all fours. But it makes up for it in handling. Anyways talk soon

Hay mate, all stagea's come with some form of gauge in the centre apart from the non turbo earlier models usualy in the form of 3 gauges in the manual versions or 260rs versions and a touch screen type gauge in the auto and luxury versions but ive seen ones that have been chopped and changed with the touch screen and gauge versions as they r all interchangable. And yes there would be the wiring harness in there behind so u can plug it in. If u need a hand or guidence figuring out how to pull the centre part out of the dash board let me know as it can be quite tricky if your not sure. About the coloured writing on your engine cover, ive seen a few without coloured writing. I wouldnt be alarmed about it as the last thread posted theve probably washed and scrubed it off as far as im concerned they are an awesome car, go 4 it. ull have a blast!

  19. yeah it seems to be round 3000 rpm to about 5000 rpm then after that it seems to go away. thanks for the suggestions. Will try plugs and then coilpacks. If that doesnt fix it then ill go further. Process of illumination always works. used to have a vl commodore with rb25 conversion pumping out 250rwkw, never had any problems like this with that, hense being abit worried. Thanks
  20. Just wondering if anyone can help. I bought a 1998 S2 RS4 S Stagea about 8 months ago. I recently did my first mod and it was a k and n pod filter, other than that my stagea is stock as a rock. Since doing this mod ive noticed that my car is spiking a couple of pound according to the boost gauge but only sometimes. occasionally when it spikes i get a big miss, it sounds as like tiney little pops coming out the exhaust, several of them. And i lose power. If i keep my foot down it clears and i get power again and if i take my foot off and try again it doesnt do it. can anyone help? It doesnt sound real healthy and i dont want 2 do any damage Thanks
