  1. Clearly more F40 Pics are needed.
  2. F40 A quick Google search on the Slow Down light: FerrariChat; username bobafett says: Joe: the slow down light, as I'm sure you're aware, has do to with the cats claiming to be on fire / banks misfiring than the car actually telling you to cool your jets. THe US F40 has a number of *very* weird "features" that the euro versions do not, including having the o2 sensors cut out above 2500 rpm (by design so as to pass smog and not confuse the thermocoupler ECUs which were never designed to work with the magneti marelli FI system). Hackjob stuff at best.
  3. Yeah it is good to hear the M3 is returning to a six, but should be inline not a vee... Heritage is a bit of a double edged sword isn't it. On the positive you will have your loyalists and people who will buy the M3 purely because of the name, on the negative you're hamstrung by having to stick to a particular formula of what makes an M3 an M3 while keeping the car relevant to the times and to meet regs.
  4. Yeah plenty of intersections with both "no left turn" AND "no right turn" signs too. Obviously the roads are fine away from the CBD. I reckon just tram it once you get there. The tram system is pretty good IMO.
  5. Looks like forecast has again changed - to 'cloudy' - for Friday. So hopefully I don't need to drive home to change cars before heading out! Looking forward to Friday!
  6. Good fun I scored better on Accord / Camry than on the Vette / Viper quiz which is a worry. 12/12 A3/Golf 12/12 Z/Infiniti 11/12 Camaro/Stang 12/12 Porsche/Ferrari 12/12 BMW/Merc 10/12 Vette/Viper 12/12 Accord/Camry I found the BMW / Merc one the easiest as that's what I generally spend most of my car time looking at...
  7. Got up at sparrows to do Nasho and Mount Keira road in my Clio with the OZ RenaultSport guys yesterday. Missed out on Mac Pass, so looking forward to a run in the GTR next weekend!
  8. Turbo inline four guys! 2.2 litre, 1993. Spoke to Nice bloke Ben who imported it personally fro the UK. One of my all time fave cars. This era Esprit was driven by Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct...
  9. Haha that's awesome Could have topped it off with some flash aimed at that tree in the left-centre background to emphasise your tremendous powah?
  10. V8 Stato - Looks like the WK and WLs are now in that $15K range... http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=10218676&__Qpb=1&Cr=5&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965857%204294965610%20246%20410&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&PriceTo=410&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=216&__sid=12B152432A8A http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=10732290&__Qpb=1&Cr=6&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965857%204294965610%20246%20410&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&PriceTo=410&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=216&__sid=12B152432A8A
  11. Nice - pic would look even better with even just a little photoshopping on contrast / curves / saturation I reckon... I like how the post in the background says "Launch" Haha looked like you had some fun there. Was a great battle with the Mazda.
  12. Are you guys are referring to "AF-C" mode - where the camera takes an educated guess / a wild stab at what it should be focusing on? I've still got my D70 (very old school now) but in sports mode it'll switch to this mode where it contnually assesses what's in-frame and re-focuses accordingly; this happens continuously with the shutter button held halfway down. I get mixed results with that feature. Thinking about upgrading to possibly a D700; prices seem firm at the moment though, particularly due to supply problems from Japan.
  13. Might try and make it out for this. Thanks for organising Princess.
  14. +1 Unbelievable Aaron... a sorry tale, but good to hear you've got no permanent injuries. All the best with your recovery, and hopefully no issues with medical or car insurance, not that there should be.
  15. Late reply... I won't put any pics up as I think they're all the same as Bob's. I think you might have a bit of a thing for that RX-7 though Bob? Was great to meet some new people and great fun was had on some quality roads, despite some bad luck affecting some of our group, and some of the eyesores / ear-sores already mentioned. Nice to know the GTR will make it up/down the Gorge now with care taken. Despite losing a few people around Lane Cove (thanks to traffic lights) Bob did a great job leading and I was glad that we took a bit of a shortcut and didn't go all the way up Old Northern Rd. Great to see all sorts of cars out there when finally getting to Windsor, but the lack of food at the boat ramp had me in pain - didn't eat until about 3.30pm(?) Steak was good when it finally arrived Bob's ADM GTR is absolutely immaculate, and loved that '93 Esprit. And did anyone else notice the old car / bike show that we passed in the middle of nowhere, kind of near Oakville? Hope that David and Longz can get their notices cleared ASAP. Thanks for organising Joely, shame about some of the crowd but it's hard to avoid that with multi-club cruises, I think we made the right choice in hanging back as everyone else started to leave Silverwater, put it that way.
  16. How did he manage to do that?
  17. Haha I do. Clio has a sunroof though; need to put some colour back into this pasty complexion after so much rain! Would be great to see your 32R there Michael. Wanted a closer look at it on the last run down through Nasho but you had to turn off for some reason if I remember.
  18. Hmm help represent the Skylines or cut up the gorge with the little Clio...?
  19. Only ever taken the Clio through Galston Gorge before, or a regular car, not the GTR as yet... sounds like Steveo knows more about doing that... I think there's the potential for minor scrapeage of the splitter if the car is lowered + the steering lock of GTRs generally not being the best with wide wheels and all. I'm sure most will manage if they take it easy
  20. Has been posted many times before but that comment made me think of
  21. It'd be great to see pics of the Aggro beast in motion other than from the Hume Highway traffic cam out Macquarie Fields way
  22. Would be good to go for a drive with the weather looking clear and all... Might take the Clio.
  23. The guy was probably just trying to sh*t-stir you? I know guys that would do something like that to a stranger (with a straight face) just for kicks. Still pretty dodgy. When driving through certain areas in South-west Sydney you tend to notice the shiftys eyeing you and your car.
  24. I think it's a great price (hence why I'm in) and I can vouch for Matt's skills. Aside from the almost-guaranteed quality of the finished product, think about what Matt and the crew have to put in - time and effort in planning the event, scouting locations, financing equipment (amortised over several photoshoots, but still), time doing actual photography, time spent in post production, software costs. Given that, $100 seems like a bit of a bargain. OT, is that R35 on standard suspension? Looks a fraction low and cambered out at the front?
