  1. Thanks a lot for the feedback guys. Much appreciated
  2. It's a good time to take pics in the Blue Mountains right now.
  3. Very nice mate. Same colour as my 33R was, and looks very tough with the black R34 GTR rims. Wonder if Bunbury Nissan would be interested in using these as promo shots!
  4. Well done mate. Great Alpine Road looks amazing. Will have to do that if I'm ever down that way. Nice 34R too. Rear bumper needs a polish though?
  5. Nice Matty. Obelisk in the middle of nowhere looks very eerie. Oh and the RE30s are gone - hope you don't mind?
  6. Thx Nick Yeah Terry and I took some night shots of both the black and blue GTRs, but the results were a bit mixed. Only got a D70 (very small screen) so it's hard to get a handle on how well the pics turn out until I get it back on the latop. I'll have to invest in some umbrellas...? Hey Sidd, haha I mean muliple frames per second, because it's hard to get so many people synchronised.
  7. Thanks a lot fellas. Nice to get your feedback. So how do you take a good group shot? ...5fps? A lot of kudos to you guys doing wedding photos, wouldn't want to confront the bridal party if the photos didn't come out they way they expected, there's so much emphasis on the day being 'perfect' and all.
  8. M5=awesome, but I've done some research having considered one myself and I think you'd find either E34 or E39 will be high maintenance and need a lot of attention to keep in tune. As Terry said we've had plenty of bimmers in the past and they've been a mixed bag. All of them were six cylinders and that would be the only way to go. I've had two 325s and a 328ci before and all 3 have been good fun. An E39 525 or 530 sport would make a great cruiser but they're auto only. Being a 5, depreciation means you could get yourself a lot of car for your money though. I know many criticise the reliability of bmws, but the E39s really were well screwed together. The cooling system *is* an Achilles heel however. 3 series would probably mean E46, still a great shape and longer scheduled servicing intervals than both te previous E36 and E39. As someone said, rear subframe cracks were a common problem. Being used to the power of your GTR I think you'd find a 323i or Lexus IS200 quite slow... A 325, 328, or 330 will offer good poke, about 7.5, 7.3, or 7.0 sec flat to 100kmh respectively for the steptronic sedans. See if you can score an '01 330ci coupe or 330i sedan which will have xenons, sunroof, leather sport seats, 17s, leccy seats with settings memorised in the key, cruise, and other nice stuff. If you can get one with sat nav that'd be a bonus as they changed from being std fit in 328ci to an option for 330ci. 8 airbags are standard for the e46. For reference, the W210 E class of similar era were renowned for breakdowns while the equivalent BMW E39 has proved significantly more reliable. Around this time, mercedes were undergoing significant expansion in production and introducing new models, subsequently letting their quality standards slip. They've recently worked hard to turn this around As another option a v35 would be like a budget version of a BMW coupe; you could also go an R32 Golf?
  9. Not so bad if you're driving someone else's car... unless you get pulled over. Looks awesome! Another nice very short drive if you're more up north is the Comenarra Parkway, but it's not the sort of road you can (or should) go full tilt on.
  10. Same. But if it's held in Spring it'll hopefully be a bit warmer; the weather will probably be just as unpredictable in Spring, but we should be heading for a drier summer next year as opposed to the tropical one we had this year. Yeah other plus points will be Kristian's N1 and even more time for people to join up. How can there be more quality JDM cars in Adelaide than Sydney??
  11. Well done mate. Think you did a good job getting the bride to look natural and at ease, that's not easy, right? What was the venue? Here's one of a few shots I took round the back of a disused Holden / Nissan dealership. Originally just wanted to take some quick snaps to test out the location but it ended up looking ok, well, better than I'd expected anyway.
  12. Galston Gorge; can continue on and go north through Arcadia to Berowra but can't take a car that's too low over the Berowra ferry. Galston Gorge is also better as a hillclimb with a car that has a shorter wheelbase - like a Clio Sport You get lots of nice exhaust echo off the walls.
  13. Yep definitely watch out for those deer (at night mostly) down through the National park. I'd add Bells Line of Rd from Richmond/Kurrajong to Bell / Mt Victoria.
  14. Yep see you guys there! Shame we won't get to check out your N1 Kristian.
  15. Saw two girls pulled over by HWP on Parramatta rd outside Camperdown Fitness last week, in a lowered silver R32 GTS-t. Looks like the cops gave them a full inspection, checked under the hood, in the boot and everything...
  16. Hey Paul, welcome mate Looks like a great deal of time, money and effort has gone into your GTiR - great photos too. All the best with your car search.
  17. Agree - I've got two types, one for before bed with just protein negligible carbs e.g. musashi 92, and another for post workout which has some carb (simple sugar) which helps get an insulin spike needed after working out. E.g. Musashi bulk.
  18. As a general rule in any case, it's better to limit the amount of refined, or synthetic stuff in your intake - it's too early on in the piece to really prove the long term side effects, but it's sure to stress out your liver and kidneys as they try and process it. Whole foods as a source of protein > protein supplements from a pure protein standpoint for example. Btw, anyone from NSW tried Camperdown Fitness? Tried it the other day and have been pretty impressed so far. Gets busy but they have quite a few duplicate machines so no real wait for equipment. Saw a black GTSt in there last night too, thought he might be on here
  19. Saw a nice shiny black R33 GTSt with plates BLI--- at Camperdown Fitness tonight
  20. Also looks like the interior is wet with the rain we've been having - hope your carpets etc can be dried out properly so you don't get rust further down the track...
  21. Sorry to hear mate. Newport - nice area... and 20 cars?? Surely there must've been at least one witness, you'd think.
  22. Through www.sportscarrentalsonline.com.au you only have 100km allowance per day as well. If you wanted to drive say to Mac Pass and back from the CBD you'd be looking at an extra $200 bucks for additional kms. Almost all of these rental things seem pretty exhorbitant, maybe it's just me. Whoppersandwich's E92 M3 deal in the US seemed pretty good though...
  23. Maybe over the last 2 years Tesla's sales figures are below their expectations and they've had some anecdotal 'fears' from prospective customers citing the Top Gear episode - brakes 'failing', lower-than-claimed range, recharging time, etc.
  24. Yeah - account suspended... Such a shame; always liked the people there, and the knowledge and competence of the service dept was excellent. Hope they can consolidate and get back up and running with stronger "operations". Also sucks for the people with orders outstanding.
  25. Aston Martin DBS in Neutral Bay
