  1. The rims look like they will suit it well, nice work.
  2. LOL, opps
  3. You have your answered your own question.
  4. LOL, what may look good sitting still may be quite painfull whilst driving, no, I will go as far as saying what looks like it would handle bad and be a PITA to drive on a street, would infact handle bad and be a PITA on the street.
  5. http://www.trackpedi...wiki/Understeer Some reading and stuff
  6. If your on your Ps get whatever NA that you like the look of which won't break the bank, don't do any powermods or rice it up as you will throwing money down the drain for minimal gain. If later on you want power then get something already done up the way you want it later on and save 10s of thousands of dollars. or if your rich or stupid buy a stokers and modify it to within a inch of its life, me, I was stupid, LOL.
  7. Eastern Creek is awesome, I've done days with the WRX club there, there is lots of space as most people don't go out every session, I'll get the paperwork work done ASAP then.
  8. Im just waiting on getting my car back before I commit funds at this stage, BUT, I picked up 2 x KUMHO V700 235/40 17 from FSPORT which was my prize from the last track day, ( I think it was for spilling the most oil........sorry) They should fit nice on the front of the boat Im super happy. Thankyou KUMHO and John from FSPORT. http://www.fsport.com.au/
  9. My statement was NOT incorrect, you just dont agree with it, in the end it doesnt matter what you or I say, its how smart the consumer is, and in "my opinion" the more "middle men" you can cut out the better. Happy shopping. SHOP SMART, SHOP S-MART
  10. Australian large industry hey, so the tyres you sell are Australian made then ? http://www.federaltire.com/en/html/corp.php Australian large industry imports most of the things they sell, and then sell on for a huge profit because Joe Public will drive to a shop and pay what they are told to, Australian industry was/is trying to ban people from importing. "Aussie distributors will say all sorts of bull so they can charge twice the price of imported tyres" like saying you are not doing the right thing by buying from OS. Im all for buying Australian made if its the same quality and value, you would be a fool not to.
  11. I have yet to hear about " insurance problems", in any case I could import 8 tyres for the price of 4 sold in AU, sorry but my money goes to who can do me the best deal. Also the company they are from is a large company with staff and equipment and storage and importing fees, why can they sell new stock for so low when AU cannot.
  12. I'm hopeless with computers and really cannot be f*kd in setting up lap timers and seeing how fast I am through turn 4, all I want is at the end of the day is the best time I got when I got 1 lap partially right, I will never be a good driver as work and family means I might get 4 or 5 trackday a year if I'm lucky, seat time is not something I will ever have. My driving style is to go as quick as my balls will let me and try and get quicker than my last outing, mainly through 90% luck with 10% skill. If this event is not going to be timed just say so, and change the advertised information to reflect this, a lot of people like me only like doing timed events
  13. Nice car, rego details please.
  14. He may one day need to turn a corner though !
  15. If I was going to do it again I would get a R32 GTR early model because it is the lightest and a post 1994 motor (?) as I believe thats when they fixed some problems with the earlier RB26 motors, not 100% sure on dates but apparently they got a better crank and turbos or something. For under 30K there are alot of rebuilt nice 32,s, better than a heavier 33. In my mind band for buck = power to weight. And yes I do own a fat arsed R33 GTS-T, I should have got a R32 GTR or a ....................................................... EVO.
  16. $3,500 ono
  17. No runs of my boat
  18. Or import them yourself, Aussie distributors will say all sorts of bull so they can charge twice the price of imported tyres, try looking at www.tirerack.com, $150 for tyres that they try and charge $450 for in AU. My money goes overseas when the saving including delivery is nearly half price
  19. Timing ? Sorry for asking but it is a desicion maker for me. Mark.
  20. All along the HWY in Kuwait are lots of destroyed big dollar rides, big speed equals big crashes, average speed on the MSR is about 120 to 160 but occasionally we would be sitting on 160 and a car would fly past like we were standing still. Bloody good roads though. Big money, Big cars, No brains
  21. Could be a bargain or could be a bomb, where was it rebuilt ? Ring the shop, does it look clean or a bit tatty, RUST ?, has it a defect ? Engine number and chassis numbers OK, get a REVS check, is the oil clean, is the coolant clean, brake fluid, powersteering fluid, fan belts, look at the discs for cracks or major wear, does the inside smell, it might leak in the rain. Only way to tell is have a good hard look and make some phone calls. Good luck.
  22. I believe that sucking from the sump is called scavanging which creates a low pressure zone in the sump which in turn releases more power, like a dry sump set up. Look in the thread about dry sump, lots of cool physics and other cool stuff, good read. My boat has a 3 ltr can, sump vent / drain back, a lot has to do with the design of the can or more importantly the inside of the can and having return drains on the hot side. Also the breather at the can needs to be big enough so it doesn't impede the flow.
  23. I'm using 25mm front and rear on a 33 GTS T using 34 GTT rims with 245/45 17 rubber, I just used a ruler to work out the size and got one pair to trial fit, they fit just inside the guards, no rubbing anywhere, my ride height is 350 front and 340 rear. Bolt on hub centric from Just Jap. I recommend using locktite on the nuts and bolts on the spacers and torqueing them up tight.
