  1. He may one day need to turn a corner though !
  2. If I was going to do it again I would get a R32 GTR early model because it is the lightest and a post 1994 motor (?) as I believe thats when they fixed some problems with the earlier RB26 motors, not 100% sure on dates but apparently they got a better crank and turbos or something. For under 30K there are alot of rebuilt nice 32,s, better than a heavier 33. In my mind band for buck = power to weight. And yes I do own a fat arsed R33 GTS-T, I should have got a R32 GTR or a ....................................................... EVO.
  3. $3,500 ono
  4. No runs of my boat
  5. Or import them yourself, Aussie distributors will say all sorts of bull so they can charge twice the price of imported tyres, try looking at www.tirerack.com, $150 for tyres that they try and charge $450 for in AU. My money goes overseas when the saving including delivery is nearly half price
  6. Timing ? Sorry for asking but it is a desicion maker for me. Mark.
  7. All along the HWY in Kuwait are lots of destroyed big dollar rides, big speed equals big crashes, average speed on the MSR is about 120 to 160 but occasionally we would be sitting on 160 and a car would fly past like we were standing still. Bloody good roads though. Big money, Big cars, No brains
  8. Could be a bargain or could be a bomb, where was it rebuilt ? Ring the shop, does it look clean or a bit tatty, RUST ?, has it a defect ? Engine number and chassis numbers OK, get a REVS check, is the oil clean, is the coolant clean, brake fluid, powersteering fluid, fan belts, look at the discs for cracks or major wear, does the inside smell, it might leak in the rain. Only way to tell is have a good hard look and make some phone calls. Good luck.
  9. I believe that sucking from the sump is called scavanging which creates a low pressure zone in the sump which in turn releases more power, like a dry sump set up. Look in the thread about dry sump, lots of cool physics and other cool stuff, good read. My boat has a 3 ltr can, sump vent / drain back, a lot has to do with the design of the can or more importantly the inside of the can and having return drains on the hot side. Also the breather at the can needs to be big enough so it doesn't impede the flow.
  10. I'm using 25mm front and rear on a 33 GTS T using 34 GTT rims with 245/45 17 rubber, I just used a ruler to work out the size and got one pair to trial fit, they fit just inside the guards, no rubbing anywhere, my ride height is 350 front and 340 rear. Bolt on hub centric from Just Jap. I recommend using locktite on the nuts and bolts on the spacers and torqueing them up tight.
  11. SAU show and shines is the awesomes
  12. Is there a official thingie with the fastest times run, I had a ball I've got 124mph speed but old man launch skills, wheel spin or tramp take your pick, the best time was 12.334 so there is a lot more in it, count me in for next time for sure. Might even buy some proper tyres.
  13. So much fun and everyone was great, I got a 12.334 which I think was my fastest, 60 ft was 2.273 and speed was 124.27 mph. Dang that was fun, but bloody hot. Thanks guys and girls.
  14. 12.334 2.273 124.27 R33 GTS 30 T 245 Dunlop direzza First time at the drags, lots of wheel spin and tramping, lots of fun.
  15. My boat is in the garage now all washed and ready to rumble. The boys from UNIGROUP are even coming for a look and crew. TO4Z POWWARS. A drag day should run the motor in nicely. SWEEEEEEEEET.
  16. It's not all Chrome and leather, there may be one or two cool high performance cars, but mostly its big stereos, chrome, leather, stupid bodykits, ugly paint and bolt ons, all show but no go. Oh, and everyone has a dyno printout claiming 1 billion killerwasps though most look like they haven't been started or even seen the road. Think of a car that a 4 yr old would draw, that's what most look like. Yes I am a hater.
  17. Hectic Chrome and leather, just like a homosexuals living room. Not that there is anything wrong with homosexuals, I'm sure that somewhere a ghey has brought some good to a community somewhere. Autosalon on the other hand is a sin against all known gods, demigods and your personal choice of deity.
  18. Buy my superawesome R31 GXE Wagon, for the win...
  19. LOL, you could buy 4 GTRs for the price of a 1 Ferrari ITI. The R35 Nissan GTR is the best bang for buck in the world if you have a spare $150,000 to throw on a car. Though my R33 GTS-30-T boat rocks my world. When its going that is.................... Stupid cars On a side not my old Dunlop semis are gonna get a cooking. Excitement x 11TY.
  20. What restricters did you use, and have you had any oil overflow issues at the track. Thanks, Mark.
  21. $3800 ono
  22. 1988 R31 GXE WAGON, 142,000K, RB30E, AUTO. FULL SERVICE HISTORY FROM NEW. THOUSANDS SPENT IN KEEPING THIS CAR IN TIP TOP CONDITION. I purchased this car one month ago due to my R33 being in the shop with a motor rebuild and I was wasting $300 a week end on hire cars which was a waste of of money, this car is the best R31 I have seen, I purchased it as I know I will not loss any money, only thing I did was replace the old tape deck with a CD player. No rust, nudge bar, spotless interior. Selling now as my R33 will be finished this week.
