  1. M5 original plans had 6 lanes, once contract was signed company cried poor and weak gov said OK to 4 lanes. The only civil works in NSW with a eye to the future was the harbour bridge, from then on its been a joke. I would vote for that car driver party but sadly they also support the gun happy people party who like killing furry animals with big guns so my kids are safe from kangaroos, rabbits and deer when we go camping. Also need to fix freight rail to get trucks off the motorways, the trucks coming out from port botany are a joke, they have enlarged the port but not the infrastructure that supports it. Bring on the Intermodal.
  2. Yeap, if you want to pay premium at a dealer for a used car, or you could buy private and save. I wonder how much the dealer paid for them? negating any repairs that may have needed to be carried out.
  3. A car with under 6k on it isn't a good example of a average car, if it has been stored correctly you are basically buying a brand new R34 GTR. Look at the price any premium car with minimal km. What's the price of them selling with 50k on them or 100k, I saw one with 60k on it for 45k$ a while ago, admittedly that was a bit rough but the average price I've found advertised is 70k-80k, how much they sell for is another story. Plus its a well known fact that most cars are assumed to have tampered speedos, even non import fans I know talk about wound back clocks when talking about imports, unless of course you have full documentation for the car. I've learnt that what someone advertises a car for and what they eventually sell it for are two different things. Get on the carsales sites, there plenty of every model on there, some cheap stuff, some not so cheap, low ball the f**k out of them, you will get someone who needs the cash, some will complain, just give them your card with your number, most people are asking to much for their cars anyway, and after trying to sell it for a few months at a inflated price reality hits when the bills come in. And whilst they are apparently desirable in other countries how many are being shipped from AU, the market will always be talked up by the owners and fan boys, some people will spend to much on buying whilst others will get a good deal if they are smart. Me, I'm wondering if I should have dropped my money on a clean 32 instead of the new STI, whilst its a really nice car Im missing the angry RB.
  4. First I would get a compression and leak down test done. Then if all is well I would go the restrictor. See how it goes and maybe get a well engineered can if needed.(Sorry but I really don't like the engineering, or lack of, of your current catch can) But that's me.
  5. Also the head drain is more of a vent, i had major issues with oil control but once i had it fixed right it was fine, happy reading
  6. Wow, stock restrictors, revving to 9 I'm not surprised that the oil hasn't spewed out sooner. Best of luck getting it sorted out.
  7. That can looks like it was designed to spew oil, how much baffling is in there. Have a good read of the link that Bob posted. BTW lots of nice shiny stuff, get that thing sorted.
  8. What restrictors, it just seems like something has happened after your launches, at the power levels you are talking about it won't take much for bad things to happen. Hell, at 900 HP I recon if you get more than a couple of thousand k before a rebuild you are doing well. And one big lean run and games over.
  9. Put up some pics of the can and the routing used
  10. Ouch, how's the compression, I'm going with massive blow by, unless your return feed to the sump is below the oil level. Nothing a rebuild won't fix.
  11. There will be skylines around for years, its just most are old and not long for this world, from crap mods to lots of track days there is a fair bit of collateral damage. There are some good examples out there both standard and modified but you will need to pay for them, saying that, people will also try and sell crap for top dollar, people are greedy and stupid. As for variant, I'm new to AWD and was always a RWD fan boy, well I was wrong, AWD is s much better, hell, as a daily they are the awesome x 10, rain, hail or shine. Also, If I was buying another skyline with stove pipes it would be a R32 GTR because as far as I'm concerened its the only car with classic car racing history n Aus, the 33 and 34 whilst newer and more advanced don't have the "Bathurst car" history to back them up. Disclaimer: you couldn't use it as a daily unless you could also afford the maintenance costs and backup vehicle needed for when it breaks, and they do break, lots.
  12. Stupid bug, yeah, the car sounded to "quite" so I got the exhaust, then I was missing the induction sound, that's where "Process West CAI" came in, and as it didn't have that obnoxious BOV sound, a "GFB response dual port" was needed. And you cannot go and change parts willy nilly without tuning, so "ECUTEK". I don't think power will be up much, A/F ratios are better than the lean stock ones, but the main thing here is the obnoxious noises coming out of the car, SWEEET. Welcome to the 90's.
  13. As the STI will be all tuned up and have shiny things to make it sound like the 90's, it sounds like a good time to get out for some driving and eating. Question: What do you call something that can be thrown away but doesn't take up any space in the garbage bin? Answer: Warranty.
  14. Yeah and some opiates to help with masking the pain from injuries. Kids a idiot, I wonder if he knows what it does to his natural hormone production. Darwinism comes to mind.
  15. The more weight you use for face pulls will bring in more back, if you only use light weight and very high reps they act more on the rear delt I find. I use the crossover machine set at head height. As for the body building comps with poses and dancing, well, to me looks as camp as a row of tents. Not that there's anything wrong with that...............
  16. Face pulls have been doing wonders for my dickie shoulders, my shoulders use to ache when I laid on them in bed, now they are fine, only change is doing 100 light face pulls twice a week. Also finishing off my sessions with 100 full extension med ball slams is a good way to end.
  17. $4750 Get it out my driveway
  18. MLR, 50 Safe speeding, yes and no. There are to many variables to say yes or no as a definitive answer, druggies, drunks, kids, animals, trucks, weather, idiots, pushbikes, motorbikes, road conditions including surface type (on camber/off camber/crossfall) and/or contaminates (diesel/water/loose surface/pot holes/oil). Not to mention the idiots who enter a corner to hot and cannot stay in their lane, this can be a issue if you to are pushing your car through a corner with minimal fudge factor, keep a eye out at the local twisties for car and bike parts on the side of the road. Me, I like to give it a squirt now and then, rarely floor it though, and I try and stick to the speed limit and constantly scan the road surroundings and surface, I've still been rear ended when stopped at lights and have had a few close calls due to evading wayward idiots who think they are awesome or just not paying attention. In the end if you want to go fast there is only 1 place to do it and its at the track, at least that way if you do, f**k up or have a mechanical failure that puts you in a wall or on your roof its hopefully just you that will wear the hurt. Track days can be the most fun you can have with your pants on but can get expensive, drag days are cheap, and at a drag day you can find out how slow you really are..... From my experience most people who speed around the streets get rather upset when they find out how slow they really are at a track or how slow their "high performance" car really is. OR, their to POV to afford a few dollars (they can of course spend money on useless modifications and stickers). Disclaimer: needing to speed is a personal choice not something you need to do, if you have to speed to get somewhere on time then your personal administration is flawed, hopefully you only end up with a ticket and not some toe tags. On a final note: If I'm overtaking you on your left, your in the wrong lane.
