  1. Why are all the laid-back parties in nsw?
  2. Membership fail? Musta clicked on Vic by accident lol
  3. Per 1st post he already has a killswitch as well...
  4. Would u seriously base which car u buy off someone else's opinion?
  5. Plenty of cars have been crushed already. Many more have already started running.
  6. mines filthy 90% of the time but i too like to wash my own car.
  7. also, when we got my first car which was unregistered they also had to inspect it. from what i was led to believe at the time they did, do or can treat an interstate car the same way my boyfriend took my car to Burwood when it gone done with a major for height given theyre usually pretty lax about checking it. they also sympathised at having a major put on for height. but said to him, they dont need to check the car for a major defect. unless its for height.
  8. nsw engineers certs mean as much to vicroads as nsw roadworthies. f*ck all. IF for some reason they let it past on an engineer's, itd have to be victorian. but buckleys chance on that too usually. cuz they'll just send you an EPA. and you cant tell them its ok that your emissions are higher than everybody elses cuz some guy in a workshop said it was safe to drive. welcome to victoria, where registering, insuring, and in general owning a car is the most painful experience known to man.
  9. Get a mechanic to do it if ur not sure.
  10. Viv is different. You're not bringing in a car from an entirely different state. They have a full history of Victorian repairable write offs up to the point where the write off was entered. For the record, lilydale tmu are well trained, so why wouldn't the vicroads who have to put up with all their canaries be as well? Don't be an idiot about it im just giving you the honest truth. All of those items are defectable and unroadworthy. If you find someone to do a dodgy rwc and then they inspect the car and see all that shit on there not only will they tell u to gtfo and pay another booking fee when you come back, you'll get your mechanic in shit for providing a fraudulent document. They went over my currently registered skyline with a fine toothed comb for a height defect. How do u think they're going to react to what is essentially a foreign car to them? Stop kidding yourself and be realistic.
  11. And everything to do with a lost license and impounded car
  12. Too late already for many...
  13. Your turbo and pretty much everything you listed has to be swapped for stock. Vicroads will inspect any vehicle being brought in for initial registration...ie. Anything not already registered in Victoria. The only real legal modification is a pod provided you haven't also changed the intercooler.
  14. July 1 this year apparently. f**king baillieu, responding to a single case of idiocy with a hamfisted legislation...
  15. Join the club No really, do... The thread about what to look for is your biggest friend on this one.
  16. Not me workin by then. I go thru there around 2 hrs earlier...
  17. What ash said. Motor show starts on the 1st...
  18. Because he didn't get it out of vicroads if u read his post...he got it from the company completing the roadworks.
  19. Fairly massive, similar to the guy above. Broke my steering rack, buckled a rim, damaged control arms, ball joints, bent one of my ohlins branded coilovers...and so on. Remembering it was also a freeway with a speed limit of 110 kmh. It was night and raining heavily so i couldnt see until i hit it. Vicroads fixed the pothole and claimed they'd fulfilled their responsibility and that they were 'not liable for any proprty damage in part or wholly caused by road conditions' citing a document which I read cover to cover which said that they were. I wrote a letter of complaint with a copy of all my documentation and evidence...all I got back was 'but we did send you a road condition reprot, it's not our fault if u didn't get it but call us if u want it sent again'. In response to a THREE PAGE letter of complaint with about 10 seperate points of complaint they addressed only one point and told me to bugger off. In the end I ran out of time and patience. I needed my car back. So I paid my 2k excess and lost a rating. But at least the cars fixed now...
  20. Lucky I get up before 6am
  21. Ash u remember the shit I went thru for 4 months after a pothole on a freeway did a 10k job on all my steering, suspension components and wheels. And that WAS their responsibility. It's like squeezing blood from a stone. U will have to call insurance. U will have to accept fault as u didn't get the other cars details. U will have to pay the excess. And take the car to their choice of repairer like a common criminal... f**k I hate insurance. f**k I hate vicroads...
  22. Lotttttts of bills to be paid bro, can't be helped
