This truly is an exceptional setup, and something I would do to my own GTS-t if I had one 251rwkw on our Mainline would be somewhere close to 280-290rwkw on the old one it replaced All this with a stock airbox (only K&N filter panel) and a truly stealthy install. Very, very nice, and should be well capable of an 11 second pass when AIR reopens

It is actually hard yards out there in that heat, constantly logging the data, working through it, brushing away swarms of flies....and then a massive beehive formed on the fence at Turn 1...you go within 20m of it they bloody sting you. The GOOD news is that the data was excellent, and when you guys get 35s we will have a real arsenal of aftermarket parts that are proven/actually work. Next up, run a 10 when AIR re-opens. No worries

We were on our way to do some upgrade component testing at Malalla
-
We tuned a 3037 on an SR20DET yesterday. Yes, the engine had pistons and rods to allow a bit more boost, but the results of the HKS turbocharger were extremely impressive....nearly 300rwkw on our Mainline, with more up its sleeve if need be

For those that want to know Mark Tilbrook now works with us at Willall Racing. He is an integral part of our R35 development program, and also responsible for the assembly and maintenance of our existing Skyline customer base
-
Anyone that wants to know pricing etc. just drop us a line on 8341 0400 Going through here and pricing jobs up isnt really fair to those that sponsor the site

Lee if that was you that called me today, the once again good choice We have Australias quickest and fastest Skylines on both drag strip and circuit, so you are in good hands
-
Well Munro we are in the throes of putting together a couple of ground up builds on a pair of matching 850hp R33 and R34 GTRs currently. Adding your other 'race GTR' to the mix would be as simple as you bringing it on down....then we can go hunt it at Mallala
-
Make sure you come home with both hands Munro.... Tell em its only your GTR that drinks alcohol

Thats the beauty of the GR6 transmission Mitric. We have some tricks to improve the transmission performance before nex time out As well as adding some Proxes R888 20 inch tyres and competition brake pads. These modifications should hopefully net another 1.5 seconds or so a lap....now we have to do some more work to speed up Mitric, Munro, and of course RH9 (However I have Tilbrook on that one as we speak)

A current spec litre bike will exit the top of turn 3 at around 60km/h and then have 200 metres to accelerate to peak speed before gentle braking or a complete roll off into the kink. There is no such thing as holding a 180-200ps superbike through the kink flat on conventional road tyres, and there are very few that could roll through there at a genuine 230km/h. The more powerful the bike, the more the back straight gets divided into two straights with a bend in the middle Mallala is always the same story. It seems no matter who you speak to, or how slow their lap times are the bike/car car goes into the kink at 180 - 200km/h. Fact is an R35GTR, one of the quickest production cars you can buy, and capable of an 11 second quarter in stock form, fires out of turn 3 with full traction and enters the kink at an ACTUAL 180km/h, absolutely flat to the boards. Data logging like this, rather than a quick glimpse at the speedo, tells the whole story, even if it doesnt sound so cool
-
No bike does 225kmh through the kink......

Attached is a download of the cars 1:15.60 second lap of Mallala

The R35 would have been much quicker on proper semi-comp rubber, with maybe somewhere around a 1:14.5 to be had on the new Proxes R888 20s that have just been released (time will tell) However, to my knowledge our R35 was the fastest ever factory specification road car to lap Mallala

In the case of a major accident where your vehicle is disabled, and you are trapped in said vehicle, the turbo timer will in most cases keep the fuel pump running to ensure that you and your passengers are killed by the resulting Turbo Timer fed fuel inferno - in the instance the initial impact didnt get you in the first place As I tell anyone that asks, if you cant drive quietly for the last 1km or so before you park the car, or cant understand the concept of a cool down lap, you dont have the intelligence and necessary mechanical aptitude to own a turbocharged car. Look at another form of motorised transport rather than adding a Turbo Timer As a side note Turbo Timers are also excellent for car thieves - "Here is my main switched Ignition Wire come get me"
-
The very best thing to happen...ever....was cars being defected for Turbo Timers. The most dangerous and dumb modification the world has ever seen
-
Only in an attempt to highlight the folly of such a comparo in the first place! Bottom line is everyone that loves their Skylines should pretty much love the new GTR. Its a worthy successor. The only ppl I have found so far that DONT like it are those that reckon a $160,000 Commodore with a 427 in it is a ripper car

Look its a forum, anyone can have an opinion - but heres the facts.... R35 GTR Stock 0-100km/h - 3.5 sec 0-400M - 11.5/11.6sec @ 120-122mph Now to get this pace from an R32/33/34 GTR you will need - TD05 kit/GT2540 turbochargers or similar running 1.5 bar boost 700cc+ fuel injectors Upgraded fuel pump Programmable management FC or similar with a correctly carried out tune Front pipes Full exhaust system with cat removal Upgraded twin/triple clutch Possible intercooler upgrade and be prepared to build an engine for it in the very near future... as well as being in a constantly harrassed and defectable car This isnt a guess. We have done our fair share of GTR modification over the years. Nissan have done a very good job of building a genuine supercar that thankfully DOESNT need a bucket of cash thrown at it to make it go like it should. That is the true value of R35
-
Another way of looking at it..... With the stock GTR IHI RHF55 turbochargers each good for around 35lb/min airflow with reasonable efficiency and using boost of around 1.4 bar, The answer to a properly tuned stock power output would be close to 370 - 390kw at all four wheels without changing the turbines. Now, correct me if I am wrong here, but that would be more power than 99.9% of most Skyline owners would ever get close to having, or even possibly dreaming about. Nissan should be thanked for using such capable turbochargers on these engines in the first place. They make even the 34N1 turbochargers look like jelly wristed pea shooters in comparison
-
And you can only thank the good son of rajab above for that. Hopefully this integrated approach will stop some of the general public turning these engines into laggy slovenly performers through the midrange with badly thought out turbo upgrades, which has been happening in the RB world for years. Amen

Good to see you got Nissan Australias official pricing out of Main North, before Nissan even told them.... You will find of the 70 'Expressions of Interest' you could fill in for GTR, around 2 - 3 of them at best would be serious place holders that can stump up the cash for the car....
